requires the xml injector
base game compatibleupd. sep. 14, 2025: fixed an issue that could cause UI problems. i had to remove the ability for the pacifier to automatically disappear during meals and baths :( please make sure to download the new file!
new features in new version:
three new pacifiers are now available in three different colors. you can check out all new pacifiers in the video thumbnail of this post.
all pacifiers work for both infants and toddlers. i used the texture slot for glasses, so unfortunately, it’s not possible to use glasses and a pacifier at the same time. however, you can now wear the pacifier together with onesies, which wasn’t possible in the first version.
adult sims can now give pacifiers to children. after this interaction, the child will immediately start wearing the pacifier. for this, i used the in-game "check infant/toddler" animation, so there’s no custom animation. please note that the "give pacifier" action won’t show up if the sim is carrying the baby.
you can get pacifiers by purchasing them through the computer.
you can remove the pacifier by clicking either on the pacifier itself or directly on the sim.

please delete the old files from your mods folder: "simkatu functional pacifier for infants.package" and "simkatu functional pacifier for toddlers.package". there won't be any conflicts, but the new version of the mod was created from scratch and does not include the old files.
important: if you decide to remove the mod with functional objects, it’s recommended to delete these items from your lot or sims’ inventories to avoid possible lot or save issues.

i was able to purchase off computer but i see no options to give it to the babies, any idea what im doing wrong?😭

I think this is one of the best paci mods for Sims 4. It's the only one I have seen so far that gives a buff for calming. I hope you can get it fixed where the toddler can remove it when eating or drinking. Additional color swatches and styles would be wonderful as well.

Are your mods compatible with the new Aug 19th patch??
yes, all my mods are compatible. but many of my mods require xml injector to work. xml injector isn’t compatible with the new “pack selection” feature, and it may cause errors. so if you want to use my gameplay mods, do not use this feature
Unfortunately this mod does not work for me. I click to give the pacifier to an infant, my sims t poses for a second then goes back to normal, the pacifier is still in the inventory. I tried erdownloading it also and still happens.
so sorry to hear that! unfortunately i’m not sure what could be causing the issue :( i tested it on my end and everything seems to work fine - better exceptions doesn’t show any problems either, and there shouldn’t be any errors in the code. maybe you have both the old and new version of the pacifiers installed at the same time? that might cause some issues. i’d also recommend clearing your game cache, sometimes that helps too!

hii i cant seem to get the pacifiers to work? i see them in my build mode and can place it but i cannot interact with it. or order them from the computer. i have the updated xml injector too //// edit: nvm i spoke too soon lol. it works now. just had to delete it and download again.

this mod is amazing!! but this new version everytime that i put the pacifier the ui of the infant totally breaks, and i get a excepton from better exceptions ;-; this mod have some incompatibility with some ui mod?

hi, i really like your mods but somehow only your mods don't show up when i öpen the game. I vcouldn't understand why bc except your mods every other mod runs well
i'm really sorry to hear that! first, i'd recommend checking if you have the latest version of "the xml injector" since most of my mods rely on it. also, clearing the game cache might help. but overall, i'd need more details to figure out what might be causing the issue

hi! i have this and xml, yet its not working? the pacifiers appear in CAS and BB, but no order option on the computer and also cannot interact with them when placed into the world via BB and cannot be added to the inventory. any help would be greatly appreciated <3
the non functionality here must've been a save issue, as i started a new one and it worked. still can't order from the computer though. also, when going to give the pacifier it doesnt actually do anything. the animations play but nothing else happens
