Introduction :

I created this mod with the idea of whole phase of "getting to know someone." Some people are ready for relationships, some people do not what they want, and some just want to mess around. I wanted that in game, so i created traits lol! In real life, when you are getting to know someone, you talk about what you want, your dealbreakers, and your preferences. I wanted that in game too, more than just asking a sims favorite color and weather preference. This mod is all about that phase of dating: getting to know someone. Do they believe in marriage? Do they mind living together before or after marriage? Do they want kids? What are their dealbreakers? You get what I'm saying!? This mod let's you storytell that phase.

How it works?

Before I start this tutorial, I wish I could auto assign traits/dealbreakers, etc but I'm NOT on that level of modding yet, I don't script mod! If you had the first version of this mod, please remove it, it's NOT compatible with this new version.

In order for these interactions to show up your sims need to have a romance bar and they need to have a dating preference. These interactions will disappear once you have become the partner of whatever sim you were getting to know, they will be ONLY available during this "getting to know" phase as i like to call it, that's the point of the mod lol

First, assign a trait to your sim, click on your sim then go to actions and select "annasiims mods" then "Ready Or Not". You can ONLY have one trait! Make sure to have GenPie Menu

Traits

Each trait comes with interactions, wants and their own pie menu, which you'll find in the romance pie menu

Wants A Relationship : This sim wants to share their life with someone special and is ready to commit. They're looking for a serious relationship right now.

• Talk about wanting something real

• Talk about the ideal partner

• Talk about relationship goals

• Are you seeing other sims?

• Ask what are we? *This interactions shows up when your sims have 50% romance bar, meaning they will have the lovers or soulmate relationship bits. I need to point out that if you choose or it lands on "Now that you ask, my girlfriend/boyfriend" they will become official romantic partners and if they had one of the opposite traits, their trait will change to "Wants A Relationship"

Temporary Interactions:

When you unlock the "Ask what are we?" interaction and you chose "I'm still figuring things out" your sim will have access to these interactions as long as their buffs last which is 3 sim hours:

• I feel like I'm wasting my time

• Call out mixed signals (Mean Interaction)

• Say this feels one sided

Wants To Stay Single : This sim enjoys their own space and personal freedom. They're not looking for nothing serious right now.

• Complain about the drama a relationship brings

• Admit not wanting to settle down

• Ask if they're okay keeping it casual

• Talk about loving your freedom

• I'm not ready for a relationship because... *You'll get to pick a reason

• Admit you caught feelings for them *This interactions shows up when your sim gets the Smitten or Fell In Love sentiment towards a sim. If they have feelings for you, they will immediately become romantic partners and if they had one of the opposite traits, their trait will change to "Wants A Relationship"

Unsure : This sim is unsure if they want to be in a relationship or prefer being single, maybe they're not ready, maybe they are? Do they want something serious or no labels? They have no clue

• I'm not ready for a relationship because... *You'll get to pick a reason

• I'm ready *This interaction will change your sims preference to wants a relationship

• Say you like how things are going

• Ask if they're okay with taking it slow

Interactions For ALL Traits

These interactions are located in the Relationship > Learn More. Remember that you need to have a trait, set dealbreakers & preferences in order for any of these to work. Once again, you can quickly set the other sims preferences and dealbreakers by clicking on them and going to Ready Or Not pie menu then Other Sim Cheats.

• Ask if they're looking for a relationship : This interaction will let you know the other sims trait and if your both looking for the same thing : Wants a relationship, Wants to stay single & Unsure

• Ask about their dealbreakers : This interaction will let you know the other sims dealbreaker, sometimes when you have the opposite of their dealbreakers, you can get a buff! example : your sim wanting kids, believing in marriage, wanting exclusivity but they don't want kids, don't believe in marriage and don't want exclusivity

• Ask about.. : This interaction will show up a picker where you can ask a sim their preference on : marriage beliefs, living situation, having kids and intimacy

• Ask to just be friends due to dealbreakers : This interaction works pretty much like the one in game

Preferences & Dealbreakers

To choose your sims preferences or dealbreakers, you'll click on your sim, go to actions and click on "Preferences & Dealbreakers" there you'll get a pop up. These are hidden traits, they will NOT show up in your sims simology panel.

There's a list of 10 dealbreakers, if you have any suggestions to add more, they will be welcomed and considered. You can choose how many dealbreakers you want. When you are finished picking your main dealbreakers, press the x so you can get out of the pop up!

• Not wanting to get married

• Wanting to get married

• Not wanting kids

• Hates pets

• Not wanting exclusivity

• Wanting exclusivity

• Disrespectful communication (insults & yelling)

• Has kids

• Lying & Cheating

• Not respecting boundaries

How To Assign Them?

To randomly assign preferences and dealbreakers for other sims:

• You'll enable cheats ( tutorial )

• Shift and click on your sim and there you'll find the "Ready Or Not" pie menu

Other Sim Cheats: You will use this on exactly the other sim, NOT on your sim. (to assign you preferences and dealbreakers go to actions>annasiims mods > ready or not) This will randomly assign traits to these sims and that way you can ask them about their dealbreakers or preferences. They will get assigned 3 random dealbreakers.

Preference's

There's a list of 4 main categories of preferences, things you can ask your sim about. If you have any suggestions to add more, they will be welcomed and considered. When you select a preference it will lead you back to the main pop up, the preference has been selected. Once you are finished setting your sims preferences about each topic, press the x so you can get out of the pop up.

Marriage Beliefs:

• Believes In Marriage

• Doesn't Believe In Marriage

Having Kids:

• Wants Kids

• Doesn't Want Kids

• Wants Kids After Marriage

Living Situation:

• Would like to live together after marriage

• Would like to live together before marriage

Intimacy :

• Waiting Until Marriage

• Not Waiting Until Marriage

Turn On/Offs (Lovestruck Required)

For these to appear you need lovestruck, if you don't have lovestruck don't worry, you can still use the mod overall but these won't appear. These are located in the "Characteristics" section. If you have any suggestions for new Turn On/Off's to add,, they will be welcomed and considered.

• Emotionally Immature : Sims with this turn-On are attracted to traits like : Mean, Hot Headed, or Non-Committal

• Emotionally Mature : Sims with this turn on are attracted to traits like Loyal & Family Oriented
