Hey guys! So, here’s the latest from the world of apartment adventures. This week has been all about “find a place if you can,” and honestly, it feels like a high-level quest. Most listings come from agents, which basically means: rent X, deposit X, and the agent also wants X. Classic double whammy on the wallet.I decided to go directly to owners because I already have enough adventures with Warsaw traffic and food delivery.
Yesterday I went to see the first apartment and… miracle! The owners are awesome! Funny, kind, with pets, so my cats got moral support too. 😄
The apartment is in an old building but right next to the metro, so Warsaw is basically at my fingertips. The interior is far from Pinterest: old furniture, renovation straight from the dinosaur era.
But you know what? I see it as an opportunity to unleash my superpower of turning old into cozy.
I’m staying in my current apartment for another couple of weeks, so the move is still on the horizon. But planning is already in full swing in my head, imagining furniture placement, decorating, and scheduling the cats (they have to be happy too!).
Warsaw rent market right now feels like a shooting range 🫣 so many people are looking and prices sometimes feel like they’re orbiting Earth. My future 38-square-meter apartment will cost $970 + utilities. Not cheap, but close to the metro … I can live with that.
I hope 🤞
Meanwhile, I’m still doing delivery work. Today, just a couple of hours, earned $15, but that’s still survival points. Usually, delivery in the morning, content work, messages, posts here in the afternoon, and then back out in the evening.
I’ve grown attached to my current apartment, so leaving is a little sad, but I know something new, exciting, and cat-friendly awaits.
My creativity is missing me terribly; collages and drawings are whispering “come on!”
Yes, I’m so tired guys, but staying still is worse. When you do nothing, the inner monsters of self-criticism devour you faster than any coffee. This year has been a marathon, but every step teaches strength.
And the motivational finale - life throws surprises, rent prices sometimes feel like SpaceX rockets, the cats are still alive, and we’re still moving forward. So take a deep breath, smile, and remember - every little step makes us a bit cooler, wiser, and stronger with a sense of humor.
As trite as it may sound, this is 100% true 🫡
