Hello everyone!

So much happened this weekend that it feels like I’ve been gone for ages… when in reality it was just a couple of days. Weekends are sacred, so if I don’t reply, don’t be mad. I barely use social media on Saturdays and Sundays — I’m just practicing being with myself and no one else 🤍

This weekend, I went on a spontaneous escape to the forest. Not just anywhere, but straight to Białowieża Forest, a nature reserve where bison live. For those who forgot their geography 🤭: it’s a border area between Belarus, where I’m from, and Poland, where I currently live. I used to visit this forest from the Belarusian side, now I wanted to check the Polish side, because life likes to test us through borders.

Vacation is a luxury I can’t afford right now, but adventures are a necessity. Otherwise, I quietly die inside. So forest, rain, bison, and absolute silence exactly what the doctor ordered for my soul.

My goal was simple: to observe wild animals. For a couple of days, I became a real forest ranger: waking up at 3–4 a.m., walking into the darkness, looking through a thermal camera, and hunting with my eyes. It’s incredible, standing in a field at four in the morning, surrounded by pitch darkness, and a pack of wolves a 80-100 meters away. You don’t even need coffee: adrenaline and fear wake you up perfectly.

Then I sat in an ambush and waited for the sunrise. Hours stretched like eternity until finally a bison emerged from the forest. Huge, majestic, almost magical. Everything inside freezes - awe, reverence, realizing that nature here and now is simply powerful.

You sit in the grass, the rain pours, and you understand that happiness is not just enjoying comforts, but simply witnessing wonders.

Over the two days, I saw a bisons, roe deer, mooses, and wolves, but 🐺 only on the night vision camera. But that’s not disappointing, it’s philosophy: sometimes life doesn’t show everything at once, sometimes through a filter.

On the less fun side: my friend, who offered me a video work gig, had to back out. So I’m back on the job hunt.

Stress gave me severe breakouts, maybe even dermatitis or something like that 😓 and I’m back on sedatives. But I’m not giving up, I’m checking out delivery jobs, keeping my eyes on the braces I’ll soon need (they’re not free), and hoping luck decides to glance my way with a smile.

The moral is simple and slightly cynical: adventures can be found even without a vacation, happiness lies in observing life, and the world always reminds you who’s really in charge. You or nature? Nature. But watching it that’s already a small victory. 💚
