I would just like to say Brennan is the only other person I've ever witnessed who knows the "short people got no right" song beyond my dad. He's 6'5" and would sing it at the rest of the family (we range from 5'2"-6'2").

Wildflowers is one of my favorite folk songs! I listen to the version by the Wailin' Jennys and totally agree with Erika's note! (def check that version out of you like haunting harmonies)
The 2 Anastasia songs are making me wonder if Ame is "secret royalty" or something like that. We don't know who Ame's parents are. Very excited to see where this campaign goes!
Not gunna lie, I half expected Nickel creek’s “the Fox” to be on the fox’s playlist and I’m so sad it isn’t.
This confirms what I have suspected since Episode 1: as a "burnt-out former gifted kid" I grew up thinking I needed to be Suvi, but I'm much closer to Ame at heart. Fuck it, I'm a flower.

Anything Crane Wives is absolutely it for Ame, although "Sleeping Giants" plays in my mind theater when Eursilon is running for the water.
I wanted to say that I've been listening to Fox's playlist for 2 days straight now while doing my class readings, and the Spotify'd continuations are excellent. Also, if you've not checked him out yet, Brennan --and anyone else!--you should check out Phil Ochs, a really awesome American folk singer and journalist from the 1960s
I listened to this playlist, top to bottom before reading the liner notes, and it was perfect!!! I couldn't believe how many times I was saying my head, "wow, that is so Ame," and I don't even know her like that!
The Labyrinth is not just one of my all time favorites, it's also where my Mom got my name from! Any time I see it referenced out in the wild I get ecstatic, so the fact that the opening to the soundtrack was influential enough to fit into Ame's playlist... there are no words!! ❤❤

I love that both Erika and Brennan had "Voice in my Throat" on their playlist. TT_TT Ame cares for others before herself so often that her story would've become even more tragic than it already is. I'm glad Fox exists to protect Ame and remind her to care about herself, too.
Labyrinth as how Ame sees Eursulon was so unexpectedly on point for me - I’ve loved that movie since childhood and now will be unable to imagine the spirit world and Eursulon’s place in it separate from that chaotic world.

Ame's playlist is pure chaos. It's just a nine-ring circus in that girl's head at all hours of the day. Also: "Sometimes to be someone’s guardian angel, you must also be the devil on their shoulder. Put differently: Maybe guidance looks like temptation in a world where doing what’s expected isn’t the same as doing what’s right." This encapsulates what I like about Brennan's storytelling perfectly. His characters always have such a clear, sharp, specific ethical framework that describes how they view and relate to the status quo of the world around them. Even when it's just a little fox.

I am but a silly lil forest critter ((not the actual play kind but rather little critter crica: "just go to bed" or "just so mad" )) in the big hooman scape metropolis of Denver. A safe refuge for the aloudly queer and oh so audaciously autistic, but not so much a vibe for truest part of myself that would prefers singing to trees naked in the moonlit on warm rainy nights bc it would rude of me to leave them without accompaniment for such a grand occasion. These Playlist and the linear notes truly touched my soul in a deep, you burnt this cd for me and you def want it back so of course I'll listen to it while painting sets grey again for one act play competition. I'm really going through it rn~☆ but nothing is as heavy as hard work without the right jams. I mean this in the best possible way.
