After finishing the main campaign I decided to treat myself to listening to A County Affair next and I have just had to stop bc I'm crying over the debate of which level of roll it should be for the Spike to eat a years worth of KERRRNtm in 30 seconds. Iconic.

Props to Abriya for figuring out how the gang actually gets the corn from place to place, and for making someone else do it 🤣 I feel like there should have been a roll to determine just how many birds actually showed up and whether the hijacked corn arrived covered in pigeon shit. Congratulations to Fenn the new Satanist goat witch. “Roll Lay Egg to produce your heat lamp” is…something. Thanks to Brennan I suddenly now understand why egging cars is a thing. Hearing Lou’s full chested cackle/guffaw multiple times this ep was the best 😊

God this was so excellent. I really hope we get to revisit this world and system again. Ruthie is such a full and fucking hilarious character I would listen to one shots of her wrangling heists forever.

I love The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One so much, but I have listened to this 1-shot at least 10 times, it is one of the funniest things I’ve ever consumed, it makes me laugh every time, and I recommend it to anyone who will listen. You all are incredible storytellers in the serious, the hilarious, and the sounds that make it all feel that much more immersive!

As someone working on a dissertation (about improvisation training for pre-service teachers) I can confirm that the term "reverse reading" is The most accurate description of what I'm doing.

First off this was fantastic! Erika nailed it for their first time DMing! Second, this entire soundtrack reminded me of Trigun so hard that weirdly enough, I now have to go watch to see if the music is similar. Thirdly and also weirdly the flashback sequences really reminded me of that heist show that used to be on TV called Leverage. I actually think they had released a tabletop RPG for the show that used similar flashback mechanics. All of this is to say that this little side campaign hit on like four of my geeky interests and I have never been so happy to be a supporter of a patreon before!
