PREVIEW - The Fox: Then & Now

As a longtime fan of Dimension 20 and the creative mind of Brennan Lee Mulligan in general, I think The Fox is the greatest NPC he has ever created.

I'm new here, joined the fireside after running through chapter 1 and 2 over the course of a few weeks. What happened to the other then and now episodes for suvi, ame, and eursalon? It seems they were previews and were taken down, but is there any chance they'll be reposted here? I'm obsessed with all things WWW and want to hear them!

I love the mindset of The Fox. The conversation between him and Eursolon about taking a bath had me rolling. I want The Fox to host a Fireside Chat (am I asking too much)

Feel like I'm so far behind but this one is pure genius, could tell from the moment I hit play. I've listened to the first arc, loved it. Think I'm going to listen to the children's adventure then 2nd arc.

After the first minute I was completely ok with the idea of the rest of the episode being just forest sounds with tiny fox footsteps.

Brennan bamboozling the other characters with fox logic is possibly my favorite thing.

I thought for a minute that the entire 17 minutes was going to be forest sounds with a fox scratching around. Which would make sense cause the fox was just a regular fox at that point. Loved this, the fox is probably my favorite NPC

The start off of this audio put me in such a trance. With the noises of the fox scratching, to the noise of the other animals, up till hearing the spirit doing the ritual for the girls was so masterfully done. Now I listen to the start of this to put me to sleep almost like asmr lol.

Despite Fox being Suvi's familiar, already loving the dynamic between them and Eursulon, if only because it is PERFECT example of that Brennan/Lou dynamic we all know and love.

Suvi's response to Fox's respect floors me, even on multiple listenings (experiences?) to this one. Amazing soundscape!

The Then was an absolutely brilliant as a relaxing soundscape. The Now was absolutely brilliant as a chaotic sound-smash. I love this crew, already. Bring on the full Children's Adventure, this week.

After about 2 minutes of sniffing, bird song, and other nature noises my first thought was "omg what if the entire episode is this?" Immediately followed by "that would be great too." Just a fox living his life in the forest 👌🏼😆 Philosophy fox is also a delight. Can't wait to witness the upcoming shenanigans.

I love the Fox. I love how his brain works. And I love how wonderful and soothing the soundscape is. Gonna make my s/o listen to it when he comes home today. Just bathe in forest sounds and the occasional Brennan snuffling at the mic lol.

Just want to say hats off to Taylor for the sound on all these, but especially this episode. I'm a little bit of a headphone geek and this is the only podcast I listen to where I have to go get the "good" circumaural headphones before I listen instead of just using whatever I've got laying around (or listening on the laptop speakers).

I truly hope they consider releasing the lovely ambient first section on its own—I would happily loop it as background noise to work by forever. It just feels like such a safe warm blanket of sounds to me for some reason.
