We're Back — An Apology and an Update

To everyone who has supported us and waited so patiently for this game — we're truly sorry for leaving our Patreon silent for the past month without any word.

Starting about 5~6 weeks before our last post, we had been pushing ourselves hard, cutting into our sleep just to keep working. Development dragged on far past the timeline we'd expected, which left us mentally exhausted, and the sheer workload began to take a physical toll on both of us as well.

Around a month ago, Hiro's back pain had become so severe that sitting and lying down alike were painful. J experienced a tightening sensation in the heart quite often, and whenever standing, felt fatigue along with the whole body going weak and the heart pounding. We realized we simply couldn't go on like this.

So for the past month, we brought development to a complete stop and took the time to focus on getting our health back to normal. At first, we planned to share an update after about two weeks, but even that became a source of stress. After much thought, we decided it would be best to step away from work entirely for the month — devoting ourselves fully to the physical and mental recovery we'd been neglecting — so we could carry the game through to completion without breaking down again, and reach out to you once we were back.

We know how frustrating and disheartening this long wait must have been, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. Starting tomorrow, we're returning to work, and we'll do everything we can to complete both the demo and the final version as soon as possible. Thank you, always, for standing by us.

I guessed correctly on Cien: nothing was done throughout June. Then, in July, an article about health issues was published. Over the remaining months, only beta versions were released, while the developer continued to deceive fans. I’m sure the project was already dead in the water. What’s left are just half-finished products from earlier. Next month, another half-finished product will be released, so the developer can keep collecting sponsorship money from fans for a few more months. You know, the two previous half-finished products were barely distinguishable from each other. With such minimal effort, if the developer had any conscience, they’d either finish the project properly or just delete their account and leave.

It's not hard to tell us, "Hey! You sponsors' money is so much fun to spend! Thanks, you suckers~~" Honestly, I even feel a little better this way ------ at least you're willing to openly admit that you're a bunch of liars.

Let me make a prediction. They'll come back in early August and say, "We've been working hard during this time," and then release the demo. But the demo won't be significantly different from what we've already seen. Then they'll disappear again, and a couple of months later we'll hear that they had health issues and needed another break. Honestly, can anyone confidently say this won't happen?

No, but you can unsubscribe to avoid see this happen

Y’all needed the health break I see no need to apologize when recovering your mental and physical health I will always support

Only one thing you need to know : Take a rest ≠ Lurk‌ . Everyday the first thing I open my brower is open this website to check any update. But the last post you said it was just delay about 3-4 days. The worst thing I worry about is after everyone wait so long and finally just get a mini game or building game update instead of main character update. Which means you take a lot of time and hurt your body and NO ONE gonna buy it. Even though the subscribe fee is not a big problem for every fans of you. You still need know lurk a month is Deeply Hurting your supporter.

First time? they've been like this for months lmao

AnyEpicgaming · July 3, 2026

I hope thar the rest has allowed to fix your health issues, Hiros back pain lasting this long does mean he should be up stretching and moving around or at least taking corrective action to his posture to prevent it being a permanent issue. Make sure your rest isnt just trying to baby the issue i hope J's heart tension doesnt affect them too bad

Hey. Take the time, make a great game! There's too many games being pushed out before they're ready. Give it to us when you think it's ready. Don't listen to these impatient bozos who just wanna goon asap.

While releasing the game quickly is certainly important, health comes first. However, from a subscriber's perspective, updates on the development progress are also crucial. Subscribers are people, too; issues that could have been understood through dialogue were instead met with a breakdown in communication. Halting development without any notice was a mistake. In the future, please keep your subscribers informed if development faces such setbacks.

想啥呢? 這裡是Patreon 一個你連作者給不出訂閱獎勵都不能檢舉的平台 都有人想創Discord 實施文字獄了

Dear developers, I’m writing this comment specifically to you because I’d like to share an idea that I believe could have a positive impact on your community. Recently, I’ve noticed that there has been a lot of toxicity in chats and comment sections, often without any real reason based on your actions or promises. This has a very negative impact on the morale of the community, and it also makes it harder for objective comments and constructive feedback to be noticed. In fact, it became so overwhelming that I decided to leave the Patreon text chat because of it. In my opinion, healthy discussion on your platforms is slowly dying because many people simply cannot be patient and wait for the product to be released. Instead, they constantly use these spaces to spread negativity and toxicity. I think the right solution would be to create an official community under your ownership and guidance on a platform like Discord. The server itself could belong to the developers, but the moderation could be handled by trusted and active members of the community. This way, the developers would not have to take on additional responsibilities and could focus more of their time and energy on developing the game itself. I also understand that communicating with the community can sometimes be difficult, especially when there are health-related issues involved. Constant emotional and psychological pressure from the community can make that even harder and may even make the situation worse. That is another reason why having a properly moderated space, supported by active community members, could be helpful. On Discord, people could communicate in a more organized environment with proper moderation. Dedicated channels for different topics would encourage more objective discussions about the game and healthier conversations about its development and everything surrounding it. If you like this idea, I would be happy to help. I've seen many Discord communities built around games and development teams that successfully achieved exactly this. Their communities became much more organized, constructive, and welcoming. In one case, the community became so engaged that players even started creating their own mods for the game. I believe something similar could happen here as well. Thank you for your time, and I wish you the best with the development of the project.

Thomas wa chingudel · July 3, 2026

I agree with this . A lot of developers are actually using the discord community

Health is the priority! Take care of yourselves and heal properly. If you need to step away, please inform us so we know what to expect. Some people will complain but the majority of us just want to know what is happening. Welcome back and good health to you all!
