I never watched Chobits, but i got the reference and feel old. In related news, T2 is in theaters for the next few days...
I did a quick search for "Oni Mint Cookies" and it showed me two things: An artist who goes by "mint.oni" who likes to draw cats, and the Oni Seed Company, which sells marijuana seeds. Both things I'm sure are edible in their own way, but not what I was looking for.
I was gonna say those look like goblin eyes (in the last panel) , but now I'm thinking she's reverting to her oni persona. I do imagine there's overlap between oni and goblins.

I've always thought that the very existence of personified AIs in QC is a Chobits reference. And of course Momo is based on Sumomo.
My first encounter with the concept was .hack, so I think you could attribute it to various canon.
