“Let’s get YOU out of those coffee-stained clothes!” -Momo
Haven't read the comic yet, just wanted to say hi. Got hospitalized for three weeks because apparently trauma since birth can add up after 40something years and you don't know you were a husk of a human until everything blows up. Lined up for eight weeks of intensive outpatient. I've been reading QC daily since 2006 and honestly the Faye drama kinda helped me relate - especially the part where she said something like "I understand my dad now". But anyway, I have comics since May to read. I appreciate you all.
Welcome back! Get caught up, then take a deep dive into the relevance. And then discuss! I can't count the times a QC comic pulled something out of me I didn't know I needed to share. Mainly OK stuff, but certainly sometimes dark. Here is where we listen to each other. Until Bookbeard digs up the comic that is REALLY relevant to what was shared. And then we all become comic strip characters.
Three weeks from now: An extremely jacked Sven shows up carrying Momo to cube town. Disaster ensues.

If they don't make it to Union Robotics before she has to vent, poor Sven is gonna be severely scalded. Then she'll have to carry HIM to the hospital.
Halfway to the hospital, her damaged elbow will fail, at which point Scalded Sven will start carrying her back the OTHER way. Yeah. This could take a while.
"Oh no, your clothes are all dirty, please let me take them off and wash them for you..."
All I can think about at this point is that Sven must have been working out *intensely* for the last several years if he's still carrying Momo.
He's very experienced in picking up women.

It seems like she missed an opportunity to be carried longer here, hard to say without knowing where she gets her warranty service done. Only knowing that they have been heading to Faye and Bubbles' shop this whole time, it feels like picking a new destination at this point would likely add time to their walk. Although, her asking at that point may be because they just passed her shop.
I just realized - the writing on the last two strips is great and not diminished by a throwaway bad joke in the last panel! I think forced jokes at the end of a serious strip uncut the plot of previous panels. Side effect is that strips that intentionally setting up a joke are fun and stand out for their punchline at the end!
Why doesn't she get warranty service from Faye and Bubbles?

Knowing Momo, she's genuinely just attempting to be helpful and accommodating with the laundromat suggestion, and she will be embarrassed into smithereens when she belatedly realizes the ulterior motive it implied. And by "realizes", I obviously mean "is teased mercilessly by May about".
