<<Description>>
The Philosopher's Stones are a group of high-ranking Lacrimas, Artifacts that are infused with Magical Power, and possess their own evolutionary system.
These stones are seen as the pinnacle of Alchemy, and the culmination of Alchemy's end goal, to be able to transmute any metal into gold. Even amongst non-Mages, they are highly coveted for their ability to bestow longevity and vitality when ingested. Alongside the Magatama, they are the most famous of the Gemstone-based Lacrima.
However, to actually create such stones is a bloody and grueling process, one quite violent enough to be hidden from public knowledge. The Philosopher's Stones are the product of stolen souls of the recently deceased, molded together from the united principles of Soul Magic and Transmutation. Soul Magic is used to gather together the recently deceased's souls, and Transmutation is then used to coalesce these souls together into a physical shape and form, leaving behind these red gemstones in the process. The more souls that are transmuted, the stronger the Stone will be. In addition, any soul can be used to make the Philosopher's Stones, though those sharing similar dispositions towards certain virtues and vices can sometimes create stones that grant additional abilities.
The dreadful truth of the stones' creation quite often deters Alchemists and Mages from trying to create the stones, even against their desires, and on occasions, the revelation can even drive them mad. Gods or demons, on the other hand, find such tribulations as a minor inconvenience, and therefore produce these stones at a rapid rate.
The Philosopher's Stone, contrary to what is widely believed, does not always appear as gems, being able to sometimes take the form of liquids. In addition, they can, through bonding with their hosts, take other forms, such as belts and weapons.
<<Levels>>
<Basic Form (Levels 1 to 5)>
Level 1: Rejuvenation
A basic ability of the Philosopher's Stone. The user can use their stone to heal themselves, and others of diseases and debuffs.
Level 2: Transmutation Augmentation
A passive ability granted by the Philosopher's Stone. The user's Transmutation capabilities improve, allowing them to transmute materials more efficiently, quickly, and at a larger scale.
Level 3: Empowered Strike Wizard
The second passive ability granted by the Philosopher's Stone. All of the user's elemental and physical attacks, along with stamina reserves, are enhanced tremendously.
Level 4: Gold Transmutation
An active ability of the Philosopher's Stone, and an extended application of Transmutation Augmentation. By their desire, the user is able to turn any metal they touch into gold.
Level 5: Longevity
A passive ability granted by the Philosopher's Stone, and extended application of Rejuvenation. Their hosts are granted an enhanced lifespan, letting them live on for hundreds of years.
<Specialisation Form (Levels 6 to 10)>
Level 6: Death Touch and Resurrection
Death Touch: An advanced ability granted by the Philosopher's Stone. The user can now absorb the souls of opponents who are overwhelmingly weaker and in their close vicinity, killing them and gaining some of their spiritual energy. It is an inversion to Resurrection.
Resurrection: An advanced ability granted by the Philosopher's Stone. The user can give up one of their souls in the stone, using it to resurrect a freshly deceased target. It is an inversion to Death Touch.
Level 7: Conceptual Materialisation
An extended application to Transmutation Augmentation. The user is able to give solid form to low-level concepts, such as symbols or conceived ideas. With this technique, one can create Dragons from Draconic Emblems.
Level 8: Luciferian Vessel
An evolution to Empowered Strike Vessel. The user's body acclimates to their enhanced power, becoming further strengthened and being able to draw upon more of the Philosopher's Stone. This strengthening also makes them compatible with Devils, making them suitable as Devil Hosts.
Level 9: Spatio-Chronokinesis
An evolution to Gold Transmutation. The user is now able to use the Philosopher's Stone to manipulate space, time and reality as they desire.
Level 10: Supernatural Denial
The third passive ability granted by the Philosopher's Stone, likely evolved from the Longevity ability. The user can now weaken the power of supernatural beings in their presence.
<Awakened Form (Levels 11-15)>
Level 11: Weapon Transformation - Brahmastra
Through extensive training, the user's Philosopher's Stone transforms into a Brahmastra, the spear most famously wielded by Hindu God Brahma. This spear can bestow and take away Metahuman abilities, and also project energy blasts. Additionally, the spear can be easily materialized and dematerialized back into the user at will, making it rather portable.
Level 12: Weapon Transformation - Brahmastra Kundala
An overclocked version of the traditional Brahmastra. The user infuses the Brahmastra with a large amount of Mana, causing it to become wrapped in flames, and enhancing its destructive power. The devastation that the spear can cause rivals that of a nuclear weapon. However, successive uses of this variation can exhaust the user.
Level 13: Weapon Transformation - Brahmastra Judgement
The improved version of Brahmastra Kundala. Instead of filling their spear with Mana all at once, the user continually charges it at a slower, but steadier rate. This grants the spear a more focused, powerful energy blast, and less exhaustion for the user, in exchange for a longer charging time.
Level 14: Weapon Transformation - Brahmastra Avatara
The second enhancement to the traditional Brahmastra. The user channels their Mana into the spear, and then casts a Domain. In this Domain, the efficacy of the Brahmastra, and the user's other weapons and armour are enhanced, while the efficacy of the opponent's own weapons and armour are decreased.
Level 15: Weapon Transformation - Brahmastra Astra
The third and final enhancement to the traditional Brahmastra, and arguably the Brahmastra's true function. The Brahmastra gathers energy from the entire universe, causing its destruction by Heat Death. This absorbed energy can then be used to generate a second Big Bang, subsequently restarting the destroyed universe anew.
<Super Awakened Form (Levels 16 to 20)>
Level 16: Altering Transformation - Agito Ground
Through further extensive training, the user's Philosopher's Stone can also transform into the Altering, a belt that is embedded with the Philosopher's Stone at the center, that can be manifested at will. With this belt, the user is able to assume the form of Agito Ground, gaining a black and gold armour, that greatly enhances their physical attributes. The transformation can be assumed and cancelled at will.
Level 17: Altering Transformation - Agito Flame
The first evolution to the Agito Ground Form. The Philosopher's Stone absorbs the power of flames, giving the user's Agito Form heightened strength, and the ability to manifest the Flame Saber, a sword with pyrokinetic capabilities, from the Philosopher's Stone. The armour also now glows a sheen of red.
Level 18: Altering Transformation - Agito Burning
The second evolution to the Agito Ground Form. The Philosopher's Stone further synchronizes with the user's own "flame", or fighting spirit, converting it into more fiery power. This gives the Agito Form even more power than before. In addition, the user can further convert their rage into even more firepower. Their Flame Saber evolves into the Shining Caliber, a twin-blade sword that can be split into two shortswords. This blade still retains its predecessor's pyrokinetic capabilities.
Level 19: Altering Transformation - Agito Shining
The third evolution to the Agito Ground Form. The Philosopher's Stone further takes upon the light of the sun, giving the Agito Form tremendous agility to back up their strength. The user still retains their Shining Caliber as their main weapon.
Level 20: Altering Transformation - Agito Mirage
The fourth evolution to the Agito Ground Form. The Philosopher's Stone absorbs even more light, further boosting the Agito Form's strength and speed. Their Shining Caliber evolves into the Mirage Scimitar, a wrist blade with abnormal cutting power, on top of its pyrokinetic abilities.
