๐Ÿšง๐Ÿž BUGWATCH -- [BG] EAxis broke CAS (again) sometime after Update 2/19/2026. One of the new "bugs" appears to affect transframe Sims' bare feet specifically. -- I've confirmed that this "bug" isn't present in Game Version 1.121.372.1020 a.k.a Update 2/19/2026.

๐Ÿž BUGWATCH initiated on 6/8/2026.

๐Ÿ’€ Is been a while since I've done a BUGWATCH post.

๐Ÿ‘น Can we ban EAxis from tinkering with CAS?

โ˜†// โ‹†๐Ÿž "BUG" COUNTER - (3) DISCOVERED:

  1. "Contains New Items" is being wonky.

  2. When switching a Sim's sex, CAS appears to apply the default Gender settings for the opposite sex. It looks like a visual glitch, but I don't think it is. I think CAS is correcting itself immediately after applying the wrong default Gender settings but is failing to update the UI. I mod the code that defines these default Gender settings, and it doesn't function in a way that would make a visual glitch like this occur.

  3. This one appears to only affect transframe Sims a.k.a. Male Sims with Feminine Physical Frames and Female Sims with Masculine Physical Frames. Bare Feet (and all Fingernails and frame-specific Hairstyles and Jewelry, etc.) should ALWAYS use the "Restrict Opposite Frame" PARTFLAG. No ifs, butts, or mayflies. As of right now, the game is functioning as though bare feet with the "Restrict Opposite Frame" PARTFLAG is blacklisted for transframe Sims, forcing the bare feet to be removed and replaced with a randomized footwear item. Oddly enough, it only appears to be happening with "regular" Outfits and not the Nude/Bathing Outfit that I unlocked with "SGFX: Fixing CAS Because EAxis Won't". If I'm correct, then popular third-party bare feet replacements are also affected if using them with transframe Sims, because popular third-party bare feet replacements updated to using proper "Restrict Opposite Frame" PARTFLAGS a while ago.

I assume all of these "bugs" are somehow connected.

โ˜†// โ‹†๐Ÿ‘น WE'VE BEEN "HERE" BEFORE:

One of the mods that I'm not-so-well-known for is a Deformer Map fix for our broken spines:

I fixed it in SEVEN (7) DAYS and basically handed the solution to EAxis on Answers HQ, but instead of taking my very simple fix and applying it to the game, EAxis sat on their arse for SEVEN (7) MONTHS.

I can only speculate that the reason they took their sweet time was because, despite the problem affecting ALL Sims, it was only VISIBLY affecting transframe Sims like mine a.k.a. Male Sims with Feminine Physical Frames and Female Sims with Masculine Physical Frames.

SEVEN (7) MONTHS of my Sim's spine looking deformed without a bugfix mod.

I pinged that Answers HQ post every time we got a new update that didn't fix the problem.

For SEVEN (7) MONTHS.

Now, somehow, EAxis has managed to break our bare feet, but not cisframe bare feet, only transframe bare feet, by somehow breaking the "Restrict Opposite Frame" PARTFLAG.

This is a company that panders to the LGBTQIA+ community, much to the chagrin of the many bigots who play this game.

Can you tell that I'm a tad bit irritated that we're "here" again.

It is when Simmers shoes come off and their feet are missing. It's important for the same reason the Deformer Map broken spines were important, and the children's broken bodies were important. Spines took them 7 months to fix. When they finally fixed it, they broke kids bodies and fixed them in like 5 days. If the broken feet affected all Sims the way the kids broken bodies affected all kids, it would be fixed already. Similar to the broken spines that took them 7 months to fix after I fixed it in 7 days - if all Sims looked like deformed freaks, it wouldn't have taken them 7 months. The issue isn't about what's "important" - everything is important for the game to work as intended - it's that CAS doesn't have to be a broken mess, but it is, because EAxis refuses to fix it properly and they constantly break more things. It's almost like they don't know what they're doing half of the time, and they don't verify that anything related to what they're !@#$ing with, still works after they've !@#$ed with it. That's not proper game development, and Electronic Arts is a multi-billion dollar company that can afford to do proper game development, and with more years in the business of developing and publishing videogames than I've been alive.

The LGBTQIA+ stuff is only superficial and stupidly integrated. We can manually add pronouns but not remove them. Moodlets and notifications are now overwhelmingly "their" and ignore manually assigned pronouns. Not respecting pronouns with a pronouns patch is peak incompetence and hypocrisy. I dont have this spine bug. Im rather haunted by a bug that resets items once I leave cas or switch to another sim while in cas. Beards, body presets, tattoos and body details in certain categories outside skin details... On one sim some details are only visible while in cas and invisible in live mode. Actually modifying long term existing sims is a nightmare these days. And the seven months sim is typical. Another modder had a much worse experience regarding bug reports. I hope its ok to link to their patron posts about this just incase you haven seen it before: https://www.patreon.com/posts/why-is-ea-not-157876961 https://www.patreon.com/posts/154701290 https://www.patreon.com/posts/157472169 This is the authoritarian, incompetent and abusive company you are dealing with guarded by the dumbest moderators who dont understand simply conversations and bug reports with solutions. EAids cant fix things that actually bug players. You can. Players love modders for it. Fix stuff. Take the love. We win. EAids loses. Everyone is happy :)

Omg, thank you for investigating that bug that replaces Sims' feet with random shoes. I DID notice it was only affecting my trans sims and I thought I was going crazy! I feel like I've seen the bare feet assigning random shoes bug in particular going on long before Feb of this year, I could be misremembering though (or it might have had something to do with my mods). Thanks for your hard work as always!
