☢️ Yet Another Creator Drama -- This one deteriorated* pretty quickly... Is it over? Nah! I'm still here! -- 🎙️ You'd better change it back or we will both be sorry! Don't you love me, baby?!

THIS IS A RANT FOR YET ANOTHER RIDICULOUS CREATOR-MANUFACTURED SITUATION.

THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME I'VE DONE THIS.

THIS WON'T BE THE LAST TIME I DO THIS.

I WILL RANT ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE CREATORS WHEN THEY !@#$ UP.

CONSEQUENCES BE DAMNED.

BECAUSE IF WE DON'T CONFRONT BULLSHIT, IT WILL NEVER STOP.

F.Y.I. THE ONLY POSTS I DELETE ARE THOSE THAT "BUG OUT" BECAUSE OF PATREON.

I HAVE ATTACHED SCREENSHOTS OF THE POSTS I DISSECTED IN THIS RANT, BECAUSE THE AUTHOR HAS COMPLETELY OVERHAULED ONE AND DELETED THE OTHER. YOU'LL FIND THEM ATTACHED ABOVE AND EMBEDDED AT THE END OF THIS RANT FOR READABILITY.

☆// ⋆ BACKSTREET BOYS, BABY:

🎙️❤️ Even in my heart, I see that you're not being true to me. Deep within my soul, I feel that nothing's like it used to be. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time, impossible as it may seem. But I wish I could so bad, baby!

🎙️💚 Quit playing games with my heart, before you tear us apart. You know you've got to stop, 'cause you're tearing us apart!

🎙️🖤 Baby, baby! The love that we had was so strong! Don't leave me hanging here forever! Oh, baby, baby! This is not right! Let's stop this tonight!

🎙️🤍 Na, na, na, na na na! Na, na, na, na na na! Because I'm Batty Bat™!

☆// ⋆ INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I'm supposed to be modding or formatting the (4) posts for my super awesome CAS mods, but...

C'mon bruh! Seriously? You seriously don't understand why folks had issues with this? I ain't even referring to the EAxis' TOS thing, 'cause creators be out here perma-paywalling their shit all day long.

It wouldn't bother me if you didn't "get it" because you genuinely thought you were doing a good, but then you went the route of insulting the intelligence of everyone who criticized it.

That's what you're doing by saying they just don't understand and they need to re-read the many words that you wrote - that simply say that you're doing exclusive (pay-walled) limited-time FOMO content that will only be shared for (3) weeks and will never be public, because it will be deleted afte- sorry, "rotated out", after those (3) weeks.

Is that an accurate summary or did I miss something from the bits I read?

Am I just too dumb to understand how big your heart is and how genuine your intentions of feeding the starving ki- sorry, making limited-time pay-walled premium content for folks who are going through financial hardshi-

Bruh.

Y'know, when it was TwistedMexi, it was the "get some patience while I don't update this specific mod for almost (2) years and ignore all comments on the post" and the bullshit environment they were fostering in their community by not posting any status updates to Patreon, then allowing their members to dog-pile other members who were "simply asking questions bro". You have to be a paying Patron to comment on those posts, so it was paying Patrons dog-piling other paying Patrons. The !@#$ are you paying for if you can't even get a status update that simply says "I'm here! Don't lose your marbles! I'm working on the motherf- compatibility update, 🐝itches!"

I digress!

We're not here to talk about TwistedMexi today, or anyone else who does that shit, 'cause it ain't just TwistedMexi. I singled out TwistedMexi because I have a lot of respect for their... talent(?), and it bothered me that someone I respected was doing that shit.

F.Y.I. I don't carry 🥩 for anyone. I am simply addressing things that need to be addressed, that someone other than me should have addressed a long !@#$ing time ago so that it did not reach the point where someone with my "disposition" felt the need to say something.

☆// ⋆ BEFORE WE GET INTO THE REST OF IT:

We need to address a serious issue that plagues society.

If you haven't realized it yet, these things bother me because the behavior* is prevalent in society - outside of the little bubble of "it's just a Sims mod creator being silly and it's just stupid people being stupid on the internet".

Statements and mentalities like this are HARMFUL:

Please don't let any negativity get you down! You've created a space and mods for our community to finally accurately show our stories in the sims. You are truly a gamechanger and a gem in the sims community.

We should never - NEVER - put anyone so high on a pedestal for any reason, that it makes them immune to criticism and absolves them of all sin.

I'm "made of mixed metal", as Mizu said.

I'm an LGBTQIA+ ally.

I'm a feminist.

I understand men's issues.

I'm all in with diversity and inclusivity for everyone, and I am all in with trying to give more representation and recognition to the groups who are under-represented.

But I will criticize anyone when they !@#$ up.

We don't improve as individuals and as a society and as a species if we sweep the shit under the rug and ignore it just because "this individual did so much for us as a people" or "this individual did so much for me personally".

That mentality is what allows and enables monsters to abuse children because they're "good men and women of God".

STOP DOING IT! PLEASE!

<INHALES SHARPLY>

I apologize for talking about Bruno, but I needed an extreme example to hammer home why this mentality is harmful, and that is one of, if not the worst extreme example, because it is never an "isolated incident" and it has happened hundreds of thousands of times, that we know of.

☆// ⋆ Y'KNOW WHAT REALLY GETS ME:

Even after all the comment deletions and the insults to intelligence, I could have wrapped this up and tossed it aside if you just accepted and acknowledged that folks had issues with the idea, WITHOUT INSULTING THEIR INTELLIGENCE AGAIN, but instead you doubled down, and now you're rewriting history by modifying the details in your old posts, which would make it appear to anyone now becoming aware of the situation, that everyone lost their shit over nothing, and they really were just too stupid to understand your big heart idea.

So now you get me.

Congratu-!@#$in'-lations!

You won the prize, baby!

Is me! Hi!

The prize is my full attention... until I finish this post.

Isn't this exciting?!

You will be entertained, I promise!

Oh, I have an ego too. We'll have a little fun with it later. 👹

I didn't even know you existed until a few hours ago.

I am only aware of you because someone asked me to read your post, because I'm approachable with these kinda things, and they wanted to make sure that they really weren't just not understanding it, like you said, so many !@#$ing times.

Am I being a little petty and toxic right now?

Maybe.

But I feel like it's deserved, given all the insults to intelligence.

☆// ⋆ THE BIG HEART IDEA - FOREWORD:

"The Big Heart Idea" dissects what was said in the following post:

  • https://www.patreon.com/posts/135107823 -- JAYESIMS X JAYEHINSON LAUNCHES “MODS FOR ALL” – A NEW DIVERSITY & ACCESS PROGRAM OFFERING FLAT‑RATE MODS FOR SIMMERS FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS

  • This post has been completely overhauled. It is no longer what it was when I read it, nor does it appear to contain anything I quoted in any of "The Big Heart Idea" sections.

☆// ⋆ THE BIG HEART IDEA - PART 1:

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and reading feedback from my community. I’ve seen your messages, your DMs, your posts… a lot of you have shared that your financial circumstances have shifted. Some of you told me you’ve had to step away from my tiers, even though you still love my work and my gameplay. Let me say this clearly: I get it.

Are you sure you get it? Most people "get it" or at least appear to "get it" when they claim to understand others' financial situations. I'm unemployed, so I "get it".

That’s why I’m stepping in with something new — something that’s from the heart.

Today I’m announcing the “JayESims Mods For All” program.

Lay that big heart on me, baby! 😻

This is my way of giving back and making my gameplay accessible for everybody, no matter what you’re going through.

With this program, I’m releasing brand-new exclusive mods — never before released anywhere else — at a one-time flat fee of either $3.00, $3.50, or $4.27.

Uh... which part of no mone- <EXHALES SHARPLY>

The lowest tier for accessing your mods is $3.50 / month. Help me with the math, daddy. If you release multiple of these per month, would I not have to pay more than just subscribing to your "Cinnamon Roll" tier? Wouldn't I get all of them if they were regular tier-walled content by just subscribing for a month whenever I can?

That’s right. No monthly subscription. No long-term commitment.

You pay once. It’s yours forever.

Did Chat-GPT write that for you? Shhh! That's an inside joke that I will not explain. Is between me and the creator in question.

If you grab a $3.00 mod through this program, guess what? It’s yours — and nobody else can get it unless they make that same one-time purchase. These will never be reused or repurposed. They are not Patreon tier content. My Patreon members will still continue to receive exclusive mods that will never be released elsewhere.

Will they never need updates either?

Wai- WAIT! This must have confused your Patrons.

This is something you should have explained, immediately, in this section.

Now, I can't monetize my Patreon (because of banking issues), so I don't know how those special little "pay to unlock this specific post" posts work. Do Patrons of a specific tier get automatic access to them or do all Patrons also have to pay that fee to unlock that post?

If it's the latter, then you're creating a situation where Patrons who are subscribed at any tier above the "Cookies" tier, who expect that they will have access to all of your exclusive content, now have to pay an additional fee to access a specific post to get a mod that is exclusive to that post.

I haven't read the whole post yet and I'm already alarmed.

Did you think I was just gonna shit talk this entire post?

No friend, I'd like to help you understand the situation from "not your big-heart perspective".

Being wrapped up in our own ideas and not being able to see the flaws in them is not something that any of us are immune to. Sometimes we need someone else to point it out. Also, our big-heart brains tend to fill in the gaps in the things we write when we're re-reading it, so what might make sense to you, the writer, might not make sense to me, the reader. Also, also, non-creators won't understand how the paywall options work.

This post could have gone so much better if you didn't double down so quickly...

Catdamn, why did you double down so quickly? I intended to be so much nicer.

This is completely separate.
This is me creating another lane.
This is me saying: I see you, I value you, and you deserve to play too.

Electronic Arts believes games are for everyone, and you do to!

Hurray, slumber party! 😸

☆// ⋆ THE BIG HEART IDEA - PART 2:

To honor community standards and stay aligned with the spirit of accessibility, all Mods For All content will be available for a limited time only.

What !@#$ing "community standards" have you been reading - to be fair, I make up my own too. But also, what "spirit of accessibility" are you talking about?

HOW THE !@#$ IS FOMO CONTENT... <INHALES SHARPLY>

This is exactly why I hate - absolutely !@#$ing loathe - EAxis' Limited-Time FOMO Live Events!

They normalized this shit from the top down. Ain't life grand?

Each batch of mods will be up for 3 weeks, then rotated out and refreshed with brand-new content.

So, it is more than one of these per month that you intend to do. "Batch" implies more than one. Is it one post for the whole batch? Is it like a goodie bag, daddy? Do I get all my little Avengers toys in one Happy Meal® or are we gon' have to buy every Happy Meal® this side of the Whac-A-Mole® just so I can get The Incredible Hulk?!

That means:

  • Mods are exclusive, not permanent

  • You have a window to grab what speaks to you

  • Every drop feels fresh, timely, and fair

As opposed to you just tier-walling everything and me just subscribing to the necessary tier when I can and getting all my little Avengers toys? Is that not how Patreon tiers work?

I wouldn't know, I never had one and it's been a while since I was able to subscribe to anyone.

There are no forever-locked mods in this program. It’s a grab-and-go experience, giving you consistent newness while keeping things ethical and open.

That's not... <INHALES SHARPLY>

You're re-defining what things mean and I don't like it.

The first half of that statement is true.

They aren't "forever-locked", because they cease to be available after (3) weeks!

If you grab it, it’s yours forever (plus lifetime updates with your receipt).

Well at least that's cleared up.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! WAIT!

How are we going to be notified that there are updates?

Are you gon' make a public/members-only post rubbing it in everyone else's face, in your other Patrons' faces, that a mod they can't get no more has an update?

Do you work for EAxis? This sounds like some shit [REDACTED] would write. I hope I didn't confuse my EA_person. It was [REDACTED] with the EA Play Console-Only Exclusive Pajamas nonsense, right? Are you [REDACTED] moonlighting as a content creator? 😹

This keeps the program accessible, rotating, and non-exclusionary — the way modding should be.

You're doing it again, and I'm hating it more.

Shirley, it rotates! Everything rotates! We're on a globe-ish shaped spinning rock in space, but how is this "accessible" and "non-exclusionary"?

Do I need a dictionary?

Do I need a "Trump Dictionary"? 😹

☆// ⋆ THE BIG HEART IDEA - PART 3:

I will personally be keeping a log of every purchase made through this program.
What does that mean for you?
It means if I update that mod in the future, you’ll automatically get that update sent to you — free of charge.

All I need is your purchase receipt, and I’ll make sure you get the newest version.
No extra fees. No re-buying. No games. Just support and updates, the way it should be.

Nice of you to spend so much time clarifying this.

This ain't what's confusing.

Ain't nobody cares about this right now.

I have answers and I need questions, catda- You know what I mean! 😹

Another bonus that comes with the Mods For All program:
Every month, I’ll randomly choose TWO people who’ve purchased from the program to receive FREE access to my Cinnamon Roll tier — which includes exclusive content, early access, and special perks.

So... I'm paying "$3.00, $3.50, or $4.27" for... we still haven't established if I'm getting all of my Avengers toys or if I have to buy multiple Happy Meals®... and I get a chance to win a free "Cinnamon Roll", which costs $3.50, and if you had just tier-walled those big-heart mods, I could've just bought the same "Cinnamon Roll" for the same $3.50 and...

Do you see the problem here?

Also, why are you giving yourself all this extra work?

Whether you just discovered me or you’ve been day-one loyal, you deserve to feel spoiled.

SPOIL ME, DADDY!

CAN I PLEASE HAVE A PONY ON MY CAKE DAY! 🦄🍰

I feel like this next part needs it's own section...

☆// ⋆ THE BIG HEART IDEA - PART 4:

A FIRST OF ITS KIND — INCLUSIVE MODDING, REDEFINED.

I like having fun with my ego too! You seem to be taking it seriously though.

Let’s be clear: no one’s done this before.

This might be the section where I start laying on my ego. 😹

I hadn't read this part of the post before.

The Mods For All program isn’t just generous — it’s groundbreaking.
I’m proud to say that I am the first Sims creator to officially launch a structured, low-cost, one-time access mod program that provides:

Did you just learn about "pay to unlock this specific post" posts?

Did you know that some CAS custom content creators use it?

The difference is that those "pay to unlock this specific post" posts that I saw, were old. Which means they didn't get deleted after (3) weeks! Because why on Earth would anyone do that except to create an even greater sense of FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FOMO)!

In all fairness, my brain works a certain way. It's very possible that manufacturing artificial FOMO wasn't your intention, but that's kinda what you're doing.

It's the same way that EAxis is manufacturing artificial FOMO with the Live Events!

Is it really just some half-arsed attempt to circumvent EAxis' TOS for modding, while claiming you're not breaching EAxis' TOS for modding?

  • Exclusive, flat-rate mods priced at just $3.00, $3.50, or $4.27

  • Free lifetime updates for every mod you own

  • A monthly Cinnamon Roll Tier giveaway

  • No overlap with my Patreon-exclusive mods

For #2, none of us should ever make that statement. You could walk out your house tomorrow and get skewered in the face by a flying penguin. 🐧

Shirley folks would understand 😹 if that was your final destination but...

For #4, is this confirmation that your Patrons have to pay extra if they want these special snowflake "pay to unlock this specific post" exclusive mods? It sounds like confirmation.

This really sounds like something [REDACTED] would write. Did you just find their argument about the EA Play Console-Only Exclusive Pajamas and thought it was a legit argument?

No one accepted that argument, bruh!

I’m not following a trend — I’m setting one.
This is how we build systems that work for real people, in real situations.
This is how we make sure everyone gets to tell their story through Sims.

I mean... you could just be a dear and release a couple mods for free, no Early Access, if you're really so concerned with ensuring that everyone gets to tell their story even if they're going though financial hardships right meow. 🐱

<LOOKS AROUND>

You know that's a thing that creators do, right?

For instance, I want to ensure that everyone can access the mods I've made that remove annoying UI effects from the game. Even if I had subscription tiers, those mods would always be free and public, because I want simmers to be able to play their game and tell their own stories whenever the !@#$ they feel like it, without having to avoid the game because they're having a bad day and all the flashing, swirling shit that EAxis insists on shoving into every corner of the UI, might trigger them.

Oh yeah, if you're on my shit list, you gon' get dragged at every opportunity, and EAxis is second on my shit list where this game is concerned.

This isn’t temporary. This isn’t performative.
This is real inclusivity, built into the DNA of JayESims.

<INHALES SHARPLY>

"Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" is such a cute-sounding idiom. I was looking around with my eyes wide open like a trash panda and it just popped into my head.

Have any of you watched "The Wild Robot" (2024) -- https://../title/tt29623480/

Tis a very cute movie. AWOO-WOO-WOO-WOO-WOO! 🤖🐣🦊

I just... I don't like how we're throwing out all these words that should mean something, but they feel so warped here.

This is "inclusivity"?!

Is this the "inclusivity" that bigots complain about and behave as though "exclusivity" is the real meaning of "inclusivity"? I feel like you're contributing to a problem that the rest of us then have to deal with, and it really pisses me off.

When you support Mods For All, you’re not just getting a mod — You’re becoming part of a program that puts accessibility, fairness, and creativity at the forefront of the Sims community.

Is that ChatGPT again?

Oh shit... it gets worse, innit? 😹

☆// ⋆ THE BIG HEART IDEA - PART 5:

This isn’t just about gameplay.
It’s about creating space for people to breathe, to imagine, to cope, to create.

I'm impressed at just how thick this is smeared on.

I know firsthand how powerful The Sims can be —
It’s storytelling. It’s therapy. It’s joy. It’s peace. And nobody should be locked out of that because life got hard.

This is me saying: You matter. Your stories matter. You deserve to play.

But I don't disagree. We are finally on the same page. I also believe games are for everyone, and I know that sitting down with a game you love can be the equivalent of sitting down with a good book after a long, stressful day.

The Mods For All program officially goes live for the very first time on:

🗓️ Monday, July 28th, 2025
🕔 5:00 PM CST

At that time, the first exclusive mod will be available for a flat, one-time purchase at one of our signature price points: $3.00, $3.50, or $4.27 — no sub, no pressure, no repeats.

This is more than a drop.
This is the launch of something built for you — the storytellers, the builders, the simmer who just needs a little more room to play.

And then ya went and !@#$ed it up again by reminding me what this is all about.

I still don't understand how this helps me if I have no money right meow? 😿

You're doing 3-week exclusive content. If there's something I really want, but I won't be able to afford it until the following week, you're basically telling me that I'm !@#$ed.

You're literally doing the same shit EAxis is doing with their Live Events, including the patting themselves on the back bit for giving us a few weeks of grace period to complete the event, which does not take into consideration anyone with any real-life anything who just might not be able to play at all during that time.

This is not inclusivity.

This is FOMO.

☆// ⋆ THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - FOREWORD:

"The Final Countdown" dissects what was said in the following post:

  • https://www.patreon.com/posts/135185169 -- FINAL STATEMENT FROM JAYESIMS

  • This post no longer exists. It was deleted. Is ded, Jim!

  • I didn't read the in-between posts. I assume they're probably all ded too.

☆// ⋆ THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - PART 1:

Please read before you assume. This one’s from the heart.

Is that a catchphrase? I need that to be a catchphrase.

If it ain't a catchphrase, then it implies that it wasn't from the heart the last time.

Let me take a moment to speak on everything — clearly, calmly, and truthfully.

You could have done this on the first post, by clearly and calmly responding to the comments made by your Patrons instead of deleting those comments and implying anyone who was criticizing your big heart idea were just incapable of reading and/or too stupid to understand your big heart idea. #JustSaying

Because yes, I launched something new.

And no, it doesn’t take anything away from you.

No, no, no, no. We already established that it does. We established that your Patrons do not get automatic access to these posts, which means it is taking away from them when they're already graciously giving you money to access your mods.

I vehemently hate it when people pretend to be too stupid to understand simple things while implying other people are too stupid to understand their stupid ideas.

There's no other way for me to say that, that I care to think of right now.

I started the Mods For All program to make gameplay more affordable and accessible for the people who need it. Not everyone can commit to monthly subscriptions right now — and I understand that on a personal level.

I still fail to understand how your big heart idea is supposed to help. I'm sorry.

So I created a new lane with smaller, one-time mods priced at $3, $3.50, or $4.27 — rotated every 3 weeks to respect The Sims Team’s rules about permanent paywalls.

So it was all just a way to circumvent EAxis' TOS for modding, while claiming you're not circumventing EAxis' TOS for modding, by deleting perma-paywalled content after (3) weeks...

<HEAVY SIGH>

Y'know, I was told that before this whole ridiculous fiasco, that you were a respectable mod creator. You have a niche and you do it well, and you maintain your mods, and no one really minds your ego because... you do the things you need to do.

And then you did this.

And then you doubled down.

And now this post will forever exist, until it doesn't for some reason outside of my control.

Was it worth it?

Is a question I ask myself regularly, every time I choose to cross a line, or do something I'm explicitly told not to, or go on a nightmare rant like this one.

Is it worth it for me to do this?

The traits on Scarlet reflect me. I'm a Socially Awkward, Romantic, Loner.

I added two more for my "Batty Bat™ CASMenu Override × More Columns in CAS" screenshots. It's the two I'd add if I used "More Traits in CAS" - Cringe and Idealist.

"Idealist Sims hold high moral standards and strive for a better world guided by their values and principles. They are committed to doing what they believe is right, even when it's challenging."

I don't always. There are times in real-life when I'll keep my mouth shut for self-preservation, but I try, y'know. I at least try to hold myself to a standard even when I can't hold anyone else to it. So yes, I think it is worth it that I do this, because my bigoted father is right about at least one thing about me - I do talk a good talk, and maybe someone can benefit from the way I approach these things and discuss them.

I digress!

You use a lot of words that are important to folks like me, but you don't seem to have a firm grasp on their meaning, and it's really !@#$ing irritating.

I can understand if you genuinely thought you were doing a good and your big heart was in the right place, but for someone who uses all those words, you don't seem that willing to see things from another person's perspective.

That's the takeaway when you delete criticism and blanket imply that everyone who disagrees with you or criticizes you is just too stupid to understand your big heart ideas and they really just need to read it over and over until the words blur together and form a big pink heart, or some shit, I don't know where I'm going with this sentence. 😹

These aren’t tier mods. These aren’t recycled.

I get what you're trying to say here, but...

They’re separate, intentional, and built to include more players — not exclude the ones already supporting me.

But they do exclude your* Patrons, even those at the highest tier.

This feels like the thing that you keep missing.

This is why I mentioned [REDACTED] and the EA Play Console-Only Exclusive Pajamas fiasco, because the argument they made also seemed to completely miss the point.

☆// ⋆ THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - PART 2:

Just so we’re clear — JayESims is a one-person empire. I’m the:

  • Creator

  • Designer

  • Promoter

  • Mod fixer

  • Customer service

  • Social media manager

  • App designer

  • Collaborator

  • Brand strategist
… and still a real person with a real life.

And even with all of that on my plate — I still choose to put you first.

When you say it like that... it sounds kinda borderline "Gratitude and Entitlement".

I know I never posted that post, but it exists in a shorter from on the "You're Welcome!" post concerning TwistedMexi and the changes they finally made to their Patreon.

Because I love this. I love y’all. And I love what we’ve built.

We all do, bruh!

I love modding. It keeps me sane.

This new program doesn’t harm you. It doesn’t replace your tier. It doesn’t lock you out.

If anything, it helps more simmers step into this world without shame or struggle.

You’re still getting your high-quality, exclusive tier drops. That will never change.

Except that your Patrons now have to pay more to access all of your content.

You still haven't addressed this yet or cleared it up calmly.

Do your Patrons have to pay extra for your "pay to unlock this specific post" posts?

I won’t let assumptions, entitlement, rumors, or twisted narratives tear down what I’ve worked so hard to build.

There it is!

There's the "entitlement" jab!

Every !@#$ing time I go down this road, I pass this same sign.

"A sense of entitlement is the belief that someone deserves special treatment for something they didn't earn."

After all the !@#$ ups that got us to this point, make that definition fit what you're implying.

If you're gonna release special snowflake content that isn't included in your highest available tier, then make a higher tier. Y'all are doing this spreadsheet shit that game publishers do with their half dozen "Ultimate Editions" that each contain a different item, then on top of that, telling me I have to live in a country with GameStop because there's also a special "Ultimate GameStop Edition" with (2) more exclusive items. !@#$ that shit, bruh.

What the !@#$ are we even doing anymore?

Commissions are exempt from this, BTW. Even if I'm subscribed to someone at the highest tier, I'm not going to automatically expect that something commissioned from them will then be made accessible to me or other Patrons.

Especially when I’ve explained it all, in detail, with transparency and heart.

No, ya didn't initially. You should have cleared up the confusion and tacked all of this onto the first post. But you didn't do that, and then you kinda confirmed some suspicions that folks had with what you said in the first post, in this post.

Bruh, 🎙️ even in my heart, I see that you're not being true to me. Deep within my soul, I feel that nothing's like it used to be. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time, impossible as it may seem. But I wish I could so bad, baby! Quit playing games with my heart!

C'mon, you knew a song was coming.

I'll add it to the beginning of the post and... this is the first time I'm watching the video for this song. Cat dayum! 😹

I'm ending this section here.

☆// ⋆ THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - PART 3:

I won’t be turned into just another name in this community to pick apart.

You have no control over that, at least not in the way you're thinking.

You could have resolved this situation easily, but you chose to double down repeatedly.

Why is this even the concern you have right now?

Because I didn’t just make a brand — I created one of the most lovable, authentic, and innovative mod spaces in the game. And I stand on that.

Bruh... 😹

I gon' let the ego rip and be an arse for a hot minute.

Unless I'm mistaken, you make career mods.

I made "CAS Filters". Ain't nobody done that in TEN (10) YEARS, and I had a Sims 3 simmer lamenting that they wished someone could do it for The Sims 3. If I had the time, I'd learn Sims 3 modding so that I could give it to them too. I've also fixed a few longstanding "bugs" that EAxis can't be arsed to fix. All free. No Early Access.

Calm the !@#$ down.

The ego is fine, but not when you're actively !@#$ing up and deleting your Patron's criticisms, while also confirming their suspicions.

Are you even a real person?!

This launch isn’t about drama — it’s about growth, grace, and gameplay that fits real lives.

At least my drama with "CAS Filters" originated from outside my very tiny Patreon community.

You managed to confuse and frustrate your own Patrons with your poorly explained big heart idea, and - we gon' get to it again in a second - you still don't seem to understand why.

So let’s stop the noise and get back to doing what we do best:

Creating. Storytelling. Simulating life the way we want.

And now you're doing that thing that folks who know they've !@#$ed up do when they either don't care or refuse to acknowledge it - you're minimizing your Patron's criticisms by implying it's all just "noise".

It's demeaning and insulting.

Everything you've said and done has been demeaning and insulting.

Especially from someone who uses all them words that are so important to folks lik-

Fuck you.

In case no one else says it to you.

Fuck you and go fuck yourself.

I am personally offended.

☆// ⋆ THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - PART 4:

Mods For All content is created specifically with Mods For All purchases in mind.

These are not leftovers, cut content, or things pulled from my Cookie, Cinnamon Roll, or any other Patreon tier.

And you continue to miss the plot.

This is my personal way of giving back to those who may not be able to afford a subscription — while still respecting and honoring my loyal Patreon supporters.

How?!

How is paying the same amount for a month subscription (and however many mods are released during that month) but for one mod, helping folks who can't afford the month subscription? One of the three prices is even higher than the "Cinnamon Roll" tier!

How is making special snowflake content that's not included in any of your Patron's tiers, that they have to pay extra for, considered honoring your loyal Patrons?

So let’s end the confusion now:

If it drops under Mods For All, it was made for that program only. Period.

I don’t duplicate content, and I don’t recycle value.

Everyone has their own lane — and I built this program to give everyone a chance to feel valued in theirs.

How is this still not registering?!

Let’s celebrate the future of affordable, creative, inclusive modding — together.

I refuse to refer to these words as "buzzwords" because I feel like it diminishes the meaning of the word, but you're using them like !@#$ing "buzzwords", and all of this reads like ChatGPT shat it out.

☆// ⋆ THE REVOLUTION TELEVISION - FOREWORD:

"The Revolution Television" dissects what was said in the following post:

  • https://www.patreon.com/posts/135259725 -- A MESSAGE FROM JAYESIMS — MODS FOR ALL IS NOW A TIER (and a movement)

  • Exactly what I said would happen, happened. Folks who are now learning about the situation, have no !@#$ing clue what the fuss was about because this motherf- completely overhauled the old post to reflect his new big heart idea.

☆// ⋆ BEFORE WE BEGIN, WE NEED TO ADDRESS THIS:

Hi! I’ve been reading all the new posts & I was confused like many others but wanted to offer what I believe is happening which can be confirmed or denied.

It seems as though a new tier is being added with early access to exclusive “bite sized” content. So there’s still “business as usual” typical early access on your other more expensive tiers, and then a different set of content (smaller & made specifically for that tier) that is released early to that more affordable tier.

And even though the more affordable tier has exclusive early releases, ultimately after 3 weeks that content - just like the regular content - will be released free to the public.

Am I correct in my assumptions/understanding of the circumstances?

If so, hopefully this explanation can help folks who may be confused. I do appreciate the work you’re doing here to flip the modding narrative. There are so many permanent paywallers & even with folks who do release appropriately at 3 weeks it’s nice to have the option to have something when it launches. ❤️ thanks for trying to make a difference!

JayESims knew exactly what he was doing when he modified that first announcement post and remove damn near every !@#$ing word that I quoted.

The overhauled first announcement post now talks about a new tier priced at $1.50 / month.

He left no trace of his big heart idea that confused and irritated so many people.

So now we get folks, like this well-meaning individual, who, with all due respect, doesn't have a !@#$ing clue what they're talking about, because this was not the problem.

And his response is:

THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!

It's a new rollout and I KNOWWWWWW IT's confusing and I am still working out kinks! BUT THIS!!! YOU GET IT

In case no one else has said it, I gon' say it again.

Fuck you and go fuck yourself, Jay.

You're dishonest, disingenuous, and manipulative. That's my takeaway from this fiasco.

This isn't "working out kinks".

"Working out kinks" would have included addressing the concerns of your Patrons without insulting their intelligence every step of the way.

I thought you were a gud'un and you just tripped up, but gud'uns can acknowledge when they've !@#$ed up. They make amends, and we move the !@#$ on unless the transgression was so !@#$ing severe that it caused harm to others.

You, bruh, you ain't that.

☆// ⋆ THE REVOLUTION TELEVISION - PART 1:

Hey family,

It’s Jaye Hinson, aka JayESims, and I want to speak to you directly — with purpose, with honesty, and with love.

Oh, we're family now? I have two toxic (and abusive) narcissists for parents. I don't need any more family members like that, thank you very much.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately. Listening. Reading. Watching. And one thing is clear: the Sims community is beautiful — but it’s also struggling.

And you're here to save us, with limited-time paywall content.

You're not a real person.

Between outrageous mod prices, stacked paywalls, and the never-ending release of expansions and game packs that cost more than some of us make in a week — it’s easy to feel like storytelling and creativity are being locked behind a price tag.

I just love it when someone can articulate a problem so well, then they reveal their solution, and it's a 50% discount.

As a Black creator who built this from the ground up, who comes from a place where every dollar counts, I couldn’t stand by and let that be the norm. That’s just not me. And it’s not what I represent.

Some of my ancestors were slaves. Two can play this game, baby.

And make no mistake, this is a game to you. I know that you know exactly what you're doing.

Because no one is this !@#$ing oblivious.

I’m proud to officially introduce the new

MODS FOR ALL TIER — now available for just $1.50/month.

That’s not a typo. That’s not bait. That’s real.

This tier was created for Simmers facing financial hardship, who still deserve premium content like everyone else. This is for the players who’ve had to skip out on drops, unsubscribe from tiers, or sit out the gameplay because life was life-ing.

Well !@#$ me sideways and call me Squishy!

This is what you sh- wait...

What's the fine print? Everything with you appears to have some really fine print.

☆// ⋆ THE REVOLUTION TELEVISION - PART 2:

And yes — this tier is part of the JAYESIMS x Jaye Hinson MODS FOR ALL Financial Program.

It's a community initiative, built with purpose — and it is completely separate from the Cinnamon Roll tier and anything above it.

HERE’S WHAT YOU GET:

Ignore the first bit!

Wait for it!

Is coming!

  • EXCLUSIVE MODS — not available in any other tier

  • Surprise Drops & Perks — carefully curated and made with love

  • No permanent paywalls — ever

  • Safe, fair, and transparent access to immersive, high-quality gameplay

#2 and #4 are irrelevant. Let's unpack #1 and how it relates to #3.

For #1, you've now made an exclusive $1.50 / month tier with rewards that aren't included in even your $15.50 / month tier.

Your goal is to create special snowflakes.

You want folks on this $1.50 / month tier to feel special, by excluding the rewards from your higher tier Patrons.

I have a savior complex and I have a god complex, so I know what it's like, baby.

From one wannabe god to another, your complexes are either fueled by ChatGPT or they're corrupt as !@#$.

For #4, it says "no permanent paywalls" but #1 says it's exclusive. Does that mean it's gonna be available to the public at some point? If yes, why is it not included in the higher tiers, which is how everyone does tiers...

You see what I mean when I say your goal is to create special snowflakes?

To be fair, at this point I've read so much of this driveling bullshit that I've Shirley lost some brain cells, so I might genuinely be misunderstanding the meaning of words, after seeing them used improperly so many times... but guess what, we ain't done yet! 😹

This isn’t just affordable — it’s impactful.

You sir, are a !@#$ing bot.

It’s built with the same level of creativity, depth, and care I put into every mod, every trait, every interaction. The only difference? This space is built specifically for those who need a little extra support right now.

No it isn't, or maybe it is, because ☢️ <EGO ALERT> Career mods aren't rocket science, baby.

Dear reader, please forgive the couple instances where I've devalued JayESims' mods.

Regardless how simple a mod is to make, I don't devalue other people's work. None of us were born with a "Modding The Sims 4 for Dummies" guide. We all had to learn something along the way in order to do the things we do. So, no matter how simple a mod is, I do not devalue other people's work... unless it's EA (and EAxis), because they're a multi-billion dollar company. They can afford to hire the best people to get the job done.

But we're playing "ego games" here, so I'm indulging the asshole side of me.

I could refrain from doing this, but let me have it. He's been insulting your intelligence this whole time - I feel like you can allow me to meet him at the level he wants to play on.

☆// ⋆ THE REVOLUTION TELEVISION - PART 3:

This isn’t just a tier.

It’s a mission.

It’s about diversity in gaming.

It’s about financial accessibility.

It’s about dismantling the elitism that’s taken over parts of the Sims space.

I’ve seen:

  • $10+ mods that barely function

  • $20 game packs with the bare minimum

  • And too many players forced to choose between real-life needs and virtual joy

I couldn’t let that continue without creating something radically different.

So this is me saying:

“You belong here. You deserve this. You get to tell your story too.”

Is ChatGPT this full of shit or does it need to be fed shit to spit out this amount of shit?

Folks need to stop referring to these things as just "AI". It's not "AI" in the way we've grown up thinking about "AI". Just call it "generative AI". It consumes what you feed it, and constructs responses from it. If all you feed it is shit, then all it will give you in response is shit.

Which is how Elon Musk's AI is a full-fledged Nazi propaganda machine.

These things are confined to the boxes they've been build in.

I know it’s been a little confusing lately — the emails, the tier updates, the shifts.

And honestly? I understand.

Did you understand it before or after you deleted criticism and concerns and implied that errbady was just to stupid to understand your big heart idea?

But real talk — with any new launch, you tweak, you adjust, and you grow.

And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

You also don't insult your supporters' intelligence.

You're supposed to address the feedback in a competent and compassionate way.

You're supposed to take the !@#$ing time to explain the many things that folks didn't understand, INSTEAD OF DELETING THE !@#$ING COMMENTS! MOTHERF-

I’m working actively to find what works for you, for this community, and for the mission behind it all.

Is a mission, you guise! You just don't understand!

All new ideas are met with push-back when they go against the agenda!

<SHAKING MY HEAD>

I Want To Believe™ that this is ChatGPT and that a real person didn't type any of this.

If you gave feedback — I heard you, and I applied it.

Before or after deleting it?

☆// ⋆ THE REVOLUTION TELEVISION - PART 4:

The Mods For All Tier is not a discount — it’s a declaration.

A declaration that every voice, every background, and every wallet deserves access to the same level of joy, creativity, and storytelling.

This tier is:

  • My giveback

  • My pushback against overpriced modding culture

  • And my love letter to the underdogs, the dreamers, and the storytellers who keep this community alive

This is not a trend.

This is a movement.

This is inclusion with intention.

I've made some declarations in my time here.

The most well-known one would be the one in the "CAS Filters" post.

Did I do good?

Did I seem sincere?

Did it feel like it came from my big heart? 😹

I'm sorry, we're approaching the end and I'm just having a bit of fun. 💔

This is the same regurgitated shit I've been reading since I was made aware of this situation.

I'm kinda bored.

☆// ⋆ THE REVOLUTION TELEVISION - PART 5:

Thank you for trusting me.

I sure as shit don't.

Thank you for letting me lead with heart.

Baby, you're leading with something, but it ain't your heart.

At least not the way you're implying.

And thank you for allowing me to continue building something that feels real, rooted, and revolutionary in this Sims space.

Of 'course!

I'm not here to de-platform you!

It's not like you're stealing and rebranding other creators' mods!

I'm just here to point out your bullshit, for those who may not realize what you're doing, or what you did (because you went and completely overhauled that post, innit), or those with clouded judgements who defend the indefensible, because they truly believe that they need to, because we don't have enough black creators, and they tend to face vile racism and bigotry when they try to bring more representation to the game through their mods.

Similar to all the vile bigotry that's so gleefully thrown at the transgender Simming community for the half-arsed stunts that EAxis pulls, as though they have any !@#$ing control over what EAxis does.

We truly are all in this together.

Some folks just refuse to see it.

It will never get better for any of us, unless it gets better for all of us.

That's the point of striving for equality.

☆// ⋆ WE'RE ALMOST DONE:

Thank you for continuing to be here throughout my continued "transgressions".

There are currently (1,533) of you here now.

I've stopped obsessing over however many folks I lose along the way.

I don't "transgress" for shits and giggles.

Doing this has a consequence and I will notice it eventually, either as a sign on the road that I point at and laugh at, or as a kick in the face that I feel momentary regret for - before remembering why I did it in the first place.

When the day comes that I can add subscription tiers to my Patreon, you should expect to see a really high one for shits and giggles, if I'm permitted to do it.

I cannot promise that I will never release something in Early Access, but nothing I've done thus far will ever be pay-walled, and you will never have to even be a member of my little community to download them (though I have considered changing that setting on multiple occasions - I've just never had a valid reason to do it, like spam).

That's not me trying to pretend that I don't care about the money and I'm totes all doing this out of the love of modding. I am currently unemployed and stuck in shitty situation.

Can I make LOADSAMONEY with "CAS Filters"?! 💰

What?! I'm allowed to have my silly "cha-ching" moments! 🤑

Don't you go "tHoUgHt-PoLiCiNg" me! 😹😹😹💀

I am so irritated by the fact that there aren't kitty variants of all of the face emojis.

I digress!

I would have to do something truly groundbreaking that completely changes the way we play the game, but also isn't something I consider "critical", for me to Early Access it. I've said thiis before - a few times. The only current project that I would even consider that for is my "Boutique", which I need to get back to, because I need to know what I'm capable of with the knowledge I've acquired.

I've spent so much time trying to fix EAxis' never-ending tsunami of !@#$ ups, that my personal projects have suffered.

You just witnessed it happen again.

Batty Bat™ was a "simple" CASMenu Override, but because of EAxis' never-ending tsunami of !@#$ ups, I had to go on a wild hunt to fix some of the shit they've broken in CAS, because the current state of CAS truly frustrates me to my core.

I like playing dress up with Scarlet, and they !@#$ing ruined that for me! <HUFFS>

I digress!

My posts will always be truly "Public" and there will always be mirrors, unless I am banned from those mirrors due to my continued "transgressions".

And I will continue to "transgress" whenever I feel it's necessary.

Someone has to.

Publicly.

With purpose.

And with a big, big heart, and all of the good intentions!

You know the saying, "The road to Hell is paved with good inte- WAIT! THAT'S NOT...

Oh... catdammit! 😹

☆// ⋆ THE FINAL SECTION - BEFORE SCREENSHOTS:

I strive to be what is referred to as a "Neutral Good" character in the lore of Forgotten Realms, but I fall more into the category of "Chaotic Good".

https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Chaotic_good

Chaotic good characters combined a good heart with a free spirit. These characters acted as their own conscience directed with little regard for the expectations of others. They were often kind, benevolent, and strong individualists who were hostile to the claims of rules, regulations and social order.

Characters of chaotic good alignment hated when people tried to intimidate others into following orders. They would actively work to bring down unjust rulers and organizations, while liberating any oppressed people they came across. They often lived nomadic or solitary lives, finding the laws and regulations of many societies distasteful.

Noble rebel leaders who fought against corrupt regimes, vigilantes who acted for what they saw as the greater good, mercenaries who worked for benevolent causes and anyone who "robbed from the rich and gave to the poor" were all examples of chaotic good characters.

I am "She Who Guides". -- https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Selûne

I am "The Creator and The Protector". -- https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Corellon

How's that for an ego trip? 🐱

Now, can we please get back to modding? 😹

Kthnxbai! 💜

P.S. I have no intention of revisiting this.

Whatever happens next is between you, dear reader, and them.

Who invited me to this party anyway? Have a cookie! 🍪

Oh my god!! Just chanced upon your Patreon today, and boy am I happy I found you! 😺I really love your style! Rant time: Firstly, whatever I say is not meant to be mean or cause any hurt feelings or to disrespect anyone. I just want to state my opinion, and I can still respect your opinion. Anyway, I agree with many things you wrote here. The first thing I thought when I read this was 'If this isn't Chatgpt...!' And when I saw you also thought that, I'm like 'I ain't alone, baby! I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with doing that, just seems a little off to me, maybe not super authentic? Like, I'm guilty of using chatgpt myself, maybe to write a text once, but to write so many patreon posts with it... 🙀 Just the same s&^$ repeated too many times with different words... Not anything bad, and the creator has great mods, so this isn't supposed to be hate, just agreeing with you. About the 'mods for all program" or whatever the %^&* it was, firstly, I agree, it make little sense. This creator has some great mods, but I get the point of this whole thing. I wish I could support every amazing sims 4 cc and mod creator , but I unfortunately don't have the means to do so. I've never been subscribed to anyone's patreon, but I try to support them in other ways. I think it's super cool that you don't ever get money from making cc and mods, and I highly admire you for that. Which other person does that, especially with mods and cc taking up an insane amount of time and energy? Your awesome for that! 😻 I do think it's perfectly acceptable and very normal for creators to have early access, if it's for 2-3 weeks, in line with Ea's TOS. Putting it behind permanent paywall, though, isn't ok. Content creators who do that should know that it's against EA's rules. However, if someone does something wrong, in my opinion, I don't think that gives you the justification to do something wrong, too. It's still wrong! So while I won't download content that someone re-uploaded that's only available behind permanent paywall, I do understand why people do it. I don't love pirating, no matter how terribly wrong the creators in question are. But creators who follow EA's TOS and have everything available to download for free? They're awesome, too! I do understand that cc and mod making take up SO much time and energy, especially when making it for free, so a little monthly gift with the added perk of getting the mods or cc right away is great! As long as you get the mod for free eventually. This whole idea of instant gratification and that we absolutely need this ____ right now has never appealed to me. In this generation of instant everything, I feel like a lot of people think that they have the right and that they deserve things right away. I truly don't understand, and would love if someone would enlighten me. Is it truly that hard to wait a week or two for a mod or hairstyle? Before it was released, you didn't even know it existed and could most probably play without it! If you love it so much, save the post, follow the creator, you'll download it when it gets released publicly! And if you claim you'll forget about it, it's obviously not that life-altering (or in our case, game breaking) as you thought it would be. I hate that so many awesome cc and mods creators have been getting so much hate for this. Just don't pirate cc that you can get for free in two weeks! Not nice, the creator worked so incredibly hard! So the fact that this content creator is saying that just because one may have a hard time financially right now doesn't mean they can't enjoy the sims 4 and modding, it just doesn't sit right with me. You don't have to spend a dime on mods and cc if you can't afford it! My mods folder is living proof of this! Tbh, I just cleaned it out and deleted basically everything, but before that it was hundreds of gigs in size, all free mods and cc! So what if you can't get the latest mod without paying for a tier? There are thousands (yes, thousands!!) of other great free or out of early access mods out there that you can play with! I'm following an insane amount of amazing creators who all have so much amazing stuff available to download! Creativity locked behind a paywall? Not in my book! (And the fact that according to this, even more 'creativity' is locked...) So no matter your financial situation, have fun simming! I play base game with mods and I love it! Never spent a buck on this game and it's my fav pastime! Also, I haven't actually downloaded any of his mods, but I've taken a look at their patreon, the mods seem pretty cool, and not behind a permanent paywall. (Just not the mod for all &#$%) Did they decide not to do this mod for all after all, or am I just nuts? (No, I'm nuts either way... 😹) But I do think it's condescending and not nice to 'edit' the old posts and keep the comments or delete them... He probably has his own side of the story, but the way it's been dealt with has been slightly messy... Maybe apologize, end the mod for all thing, idk, but don't edit posts, making seem like nothing wrong was done! Idk, this whole things's so strange, it doesn't help anyone financially having a hard time! Paying like $2 - $4 or whatever it was, for one mod? No thank you! I'd pay for the cinnamon roll tier for one month, download all mods and say bye bye if I really couldn't wait! It seems like this new tier thing that's been edited is making people think that they're getting the same things, or most stuff from the higher tiers, just for less money. But it's not, it's FOMO stuff, paywall for three weeks, then it's gone! 🐱‍💻 It's againt EA's TOS! Now there's just a new tier that costs less money with stuff that the highest tier paying patrons don't have acess to? Huh? Why not make the early acess a little shorter or reduce the tier costs a drop to help financially struggling simmers? Idk what the whole point of this was/is? There were some good (looking) mods before this! Also, this whole diversity in gaming, inclusive etc, like I'm all for this, but the way it's being put, like wtf?! So if you don't have this mod right away, or that mod that's locked behind a paywall, you're being excluded and not getting what you deserve? Huh? And why do you deserve it anyway? Are you entitled to it just because you exist? What if that modder didn't exist? Would you still need that mod? Idk, but because you don't have some mods you have to 'sit on the side' or whatever the &%$# it said and you can't play? Wow, that was an incredibly long rant, and if anyone made it to the end (or even read ine word of this), thnx for hearing me out! Again, this is chatgpt, not their own words, so it should be taken with a grain of salt, I guess it's better than they writing it themselves. Again, this is a creator with talent and great mods who def made a mistake. We all do, but we gotta own up to them. No hate intended at all and I'm sorry if I offended anyone in the process of writing this rather lengthy 'comment'?? I wonder if there's a lmit to how long the comments can be... Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion on this! Edit: For anyone with that burning desire to know how long comments can be, it seems like they can go on forever? I copy pasted this a million times...

"I think it's super cool that you don't ever get money from making cc and mods, and I highly admire you for that. Which other person does that, especially with mods and cc taking up an insane amount of time and energy? Your awesome for that! 😻" I know there are a number of folks who like this about me, but let me clarify that I intent to add subscription tiers at some point (when I sort out my banking issues), I just don't have any intention of pay-walling my content. ─ "The first thing I thought when I read this was 'If this isn't Chatgpt...!' And when I saw you also thought that, I'm like 'I ain't alone, baby!" I don't just "think" ChatGPT is being used, I know ChatGPT is being used. I just don't know the extent at which it's being used beyond the one thing that I'm sure about. ─ "I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with doing that, just seems a little off to me, maybe not super authentic?" I don't either, necessarily. For the bit I'm 100% certain it was used for, I don't give a !@#$. For the text contents of the post, which I can't verify that ChatGPT was used for, my issues are with the manipulative and obviously misleading way that everything was stated. If it was generative AI, then I have to wonder if the creator just doesn't bother to re-read their generative text before posting it... I'm also kinda curious how generative AI could !@#$ out such trash, since it must know the meaning of the words its using. It does make me wonder if generative AI is being used to code the mods... because that's the natural thought progression. Here's the thing with that though; EA is obsessed with AI technology - I highlighted this in my rant about inZOI and Krafton, and there's a possibility that it is already being used to generate resources for the content they're selling us. If I'm going to take a hard-line stance against any form of AI being used for our game content, then it needs to start with EA and EAxis. I can't be trashing creators for using generative AI then giving EA and EAxis a pass. The concern I have, is if some creators start using generative AI to create mods (without disclosing it), how do the rest of us keep up? Generative AI doesn't sleep, and it certainly doesn't have to deal with the real-life BS that a lot of creators are going through in their personal lives, so how do we keep up? This isn't me accusing this creator of using generative AI to make their mods. As I stated in the post - in the only bit I'm not entirely proud of but I did it anyway because we were playing ego games - the mods that I know this creator makes aren't rocket science. If reading that bit makes anyone feel weird, then allow me to reiterate that my "CAS Filters" mod ain't rocket science either, despite us having to wait TEN (10) YEARS for someone to finally do it. It's super easy, just very time consuming to do it (the way I do it with my custom unique TVNs). ─ "As long as you get the mod for free eventually." That was the odd thing about this whole situation because this creator already does Early Access then Public Release. I simply cobbled the bits together... 1. The initial BG "big heart idea". 2. The BS "you're just not understanding" replies to criticism. 3. The deletion of all of their BS statement-posts. 4. The BS complete overhaul of the initial post which erases all of the nonsense they were criticized for. 5. The BS "THIS THIS THIS" reply to folks who only became aware of the situation after the overhaul. ... to form my opinion that the creator is full of shit (at least in this situation), and can't possibly have ever not understood what the issue was, because they did one hell of a clean-up, which included vilifying all of their supporters who criticized them by continuing to behave as though they were all just too stupid to understand the NEW "big heart idea". ─ "I feel like a lot of people think that they have the right and that they deserve things right away. I truly don't understand, and would love if someone would enlighten me." I can acknowledge that there are folks like this, but this was never the issue with "Mods For All". In the grand scheme of things, I Want To Believe™ that no one actually gives a !@#$ about Early Access. I certainly don't. Despite the fact that I have no intention of Early Access-ing my mods or new features for my mods like some creators do (I've spoken about the very specific check-boxes one of my mods would have to tick to be considered for Early Access), it doesn't bother me. I'd even go so far as to say that perma-paywalled content "doesn't bother me" - but I don't have to support anyone doing it, and less so if they doxx their own Patrons, because there is no mod for any game that is worth ruining someone's real life over. ─ [In relation to Early Access] "I hate that so many awesome cc and mods creators have been getting so much hate for this." Agreed. I know that the "Gratitude & Entitlement" argument didn't just pop up out of nowhere. I know there are folks out here who feel entitled to everything under the sun without any consideration for anyone else. However, the "Gratitude & Entitlement" argument has warped into something else when it comes from the other side, as in the case of TMEX's community and the BS mentality some of them have developed where simply asking for a status update is too much. From a creator perspective, it's BS. Whether or not I state in my subscription tiers that you will get status updates somewhere, you will always get status updates, because simply typing "I'm here, I'm working on it, bare with me." literally requires less than a minute of my time. Yuh cannot be ignoring your supporters on the platform where they give you the money, while finding the time to post status updates Elsweyr (to X/Twitter of all places), then whining about "entitlement" and "finding patience". It's a two-way street. That !@#$ might fly with some folks, but it ain't gon' fly with me. If we want to hold others to a standard, then we need to hold ourselves to a comparable standard, otherwise it's all just BS. ─ "So no matter your financial situation, have fun simming! I play base game with mods and I love it! Never spent a buck on this game and it's my fav pastime!" Agreed. It's definitely possible to never spend a dime on this game and never pirate anything and still enjoy it. There are enough great mods out there that expand on just the Base Game. ─ "Did they decide not to do this mod for all after all, or am I just nuts?" I'm not sure if they ever did the NEW lower tier "Mods For All", but after the backlash to the perma-paywalled and deleted after (3) weeks to circumvent Early Access "Mods For All", they scrapped it and purged all evidence of it from their Patreon. Hence the reason I preserved the original posts, because now it seems like everyone lost their !@#$ over absolutely nothing, and I ain't gon' have that. ─ "But I do think it's condescending and not nice to 'edit' the old posts and keep the comments or delete them..." At least if they had deleted the comments, it would not appear as though their supporters really were just too stupid to understand their "big heart idea". That's how it looks now that they've completely overhauled the post while leaving the comments intact. They choose that path when they could have just created a whole new post. All of this is what contributes to my conclusion that this creator is full of shit. 😹 ─ "He probably has his own side of the story, but the way it's been dealt with has been slightly messy... Maybe apologize, end the mod for all thing, idk, but don't edit posts, making seem like nothing wrong was done! Idk, this whole things's so strange, it doesn't help anyone financially having a hard time!" I'd say very messy, and maliciously so. It's not that I'm trying to ruin this creator, just like I wasn't trying to ruin TMEX when I criticized their nonsense, I just see things differently, and what I see, I don't like, and I want it to change, and it ain't gon' change unless someone drags it into the light. The last bit is the worst part of all of it. Absolutely nothing about the original "big heart idea" helped anyone facing financial hardships, yet they were the target audience. "Look at what I'm doing for you! Don't you feel seen and valued." No, I really don't, because you completely missed the point where I HAVE NO MONEY TO SPARE RIGHT MEOW!!!1111 😹 It was surreal reading through that post, like, what universe am I in right now where words mean a different thing and being broke means I have money to spare?! My goodness, it was a trip! 😹 ─ "It seems like this new tier thing that's been edited is making people think that they're getting the same things, or most stuff from the higher tiers, just for less money." I wouldn't be surprised if that's the effect it's having. I haven't been back since I completed this rant, but from what I understood, the new "Mods For All" tier would only have exclusive mods that were made specifically for the "Mods For All" tier. These "Mods For All" mods would not be included in higher tiers (which makes zero sense), and also, it was not clarified if these "Mods For All" mods would be released publicly after the Early Access period. None of that was necessary, and none of it makes any sense. All they had to do was include the Early Access rewards in their lowest tier. From the start, that's literally all they had to do if their concern was that some folks couldn't afford to stay subscribed to the Cinnamon Roll tier, and if necessary, reduce the cost a smidge. This is why I surmised that their goal is to create special snowflakes. You're a special snowflake if you're just here to support me at the Cookies tier that gives you no rewards, other than a thank you for your support. You're a special snowflake if you subscribe to the "Mods For All" tier, because it has exclusive mods that are apparently not included in the higher tiers (I didn't even know this was possible to do). And yes, I know that the term "special snowflake" has been used to attack folks on my side of the "ideological" isle, but we're not actually the ones who are special snowflakes, as evident by "the other side" gaining power and now trying to black bag all of us for our "ideologies", which is not something we ever did to "them". Being mean to you does not equate passing laws to criminalize your existence, and anyone who argues otherwise, is full of shit. I DIGRESS! 😹 On a side note, the concept of a low "thank you" tier is so odd to me. If I were to do a "thank you" tier, it would be at the top, with all of the rewards included. That's why I said to expect a high tier if I'm allowed to do it when I finally monetize my Patreon. You have money to spare and you want to thank me for my mods or for the entertainment or the information that I provide, then sure, here's a $100- pfft, here's a $1,000 tier, go wild! You'll have my everlasting appreciation and gratitude. To be fair though, a low "thank you" tier with no rewards is only odd to be because I don't have any intention of Early Access-ing or pay-walling everything I do. It makes sense from the perspective of a creator who uses Early Access as some folks might want to support but can't afford to at the entry level for rewards. ─ "But it's not, it's FOMO stuff, paywall for three weeks, then it's gone! 🐱‍💻 It's againt EA's TOS! Now there's just a new tier that costs less money with stuff that the highest tier paying patrons don't have acess to? Huh? Why not make the early acess a little shorter or reduce the tier costs a drop to help financially struggling simmers? Idk what the whole point of this was/is?" Yep, this sums of everything I said. I respond to statements as I read them, which is why you'll see me re-iterating all of this before getting to this point. ─ "Also, this whole diversity in gaming, inclusive etc, like I'm all for this, but the way it's being put, like wtf?! So if you don't have this mod right away, or that mod that's locked behind a paywall, you're being excluded and not getting what you deserve? Huh? And why do you deserve it anyway? Are you entitled to it just because you exist? What if that modder didn't exist? Would you still need that mod? Idk, but because you don't have some mods you have to 'sit on the side' or whatever the &%$# it said and you can't play?" This one is a bit more complex to address I think. First of all, there is something... dare I say predatory, about the way that some creators who cater to diversity and representation will... "market" their mods. I think that's part of your opening statement here? But also, EAxis panders a lot while doing little for representation. Depending on how long you've been paying attention to controversies surrounding this game, you may or may not know that for almost (6) years there were visible quality issues with the darker skintones in the game, and it was only addressed officially after creators made it their mission to fix the problem and media outlets picked it up. There was one creator in particular, and, by her own admission, she faced significant racist attacks from the Simming community, all because she wanted darker skintones in the game that weren't pixelated trash. Only after this became a scandal, did EAxis get off their arse and issue an apology and fix the pixelated skintones. The way I see it is, if you're gonna create a "Life Simulator" and market it to everyone, then you should at least ensure that you include options for everyone to feel represented in your game - cultural stuff aside, folks should at least be able to create a character that looks somewhat like them, without having to "deal with" half-arsed meshes and textures while everyone else gets quality stuff. As for this bit, "What if that modder didn't exist? Would you still need that mod?", the answer is yes, but in the sense that this is why some folks learn how to mod. As for this bit, "Idk, but because you don't have some mods you have to 'sit on the side' or whatever the &%$# it said and you can't play?", I'm gonna ego trip for a hot minute and say that of the many mods we have, the only ones anyone actually "can't play without" are the BUGFIXES, or those like my collection of Scale Form GFX overrides that remove EAxis' obnoxious UI effects, which I consider BUGFIXES. Those, I'd say, are the kind of mods that some folks legitimately cannot enjoy their game for long sessions without. But some the other stuff? Not really. I see it as more of a compliment when someone says "this is such a game changer and I absolutely cannot live without it" on something I'd consider "non-critical", but that's also a me thing because I'm "tech support" and it's more important to me that your !@#$ works, than how fluffy it is. Is like how I routinely leave my "Main Menu Override" for last whenever I'm updating my "SGFX" mods, with the accompanying comment of "we can survive without this for a minute". Unless you're one of the Simmers who have issues with the full-screen pop-up crap crashing your game, then yuh ain't spending that much time on the Main Menu, in other words, it's not "critical" and we can survive without it. That's not to say that EAxis' Main Menu BS isn't predatory, or annoying, or just downright FUGLY to look at - it's just "not critical" in most instances. ─ "Again, this is a creator with talent and great mods who def made a mistake. We all do, but we gotta own up to them." Indeed! Everyone !@#$s up. No one is perfect. How we handle it and how we move forward is what matters. ─ "No hate intended at all and I'm sorry if I offended anyone in the process of writing this rather lengthy 'comment'??" Agreed. No hate intended. As for being offensive, I'd say my OP was meant to offend, because I was offended by everything that transpired. They made a mistake, and they chose to handle it like an arse. 😹

This just screams "I dont know how to reas EAs TOS nor do i care." Im all for those who cant afford to pay for patreon teirs. Ive been in that position when money is a hard thing to have at the end of the month. Yknow what decent people dont do? Make you pay for content that otherwise cant get. If its behind a perma pawywall its probably not worth it.

That's what was weird about this. It appears that the creator normally does Early Access followed by Public Release, so I don't understand how "Limited-Time Perma-Paywall Deleted After (3) Weeks To Avoid EA TOS" made any sense... Especially when it was touted as way to HELP Simmers facing financial hardship. It made absolutely zero sense. The new "big heart" idea makes a little more sense because it reduces the entry fee, but then (at least up til the last time I checked it) the new "big heart" tier rewards wasn't included in the higher tiers, which again makes zero sense if they intend to Public Release after the Early Access period! Just... WHY?! If they really cared about the struggling Simmers, they could have just changed their lowest tier to include Early Access rewards, and maybe reduced the price a smidge. Looking at it from the perspective of "this doesn't help anyone who's struggling financially", it makes me wonder if the goal wasn't really just to try to do perma-paywall content while pretending to adhere to "community standards", and everything else was just fluff to obfuscate it.

I know exactly what you're talking about and I ALMOST commented on his post and was like wait what you want us to pay a one time fee for mods that are exclusive to us but they are not fkn mods that are already fkn locked on the cinnamon roll tier? Like how do we know these exclusive mods are even worth it and two what if we just want the fkn mods you actually have locked. Dude now I should have said something but after arguing or debating with so many (pretends to care about the sims community) I didn't want his little fan followers to come after me and now you encouraged me to really stick to my values and what I call bullshit. His post made sense even to my confusing little brain but he was being acting like this was so cool when it wasn't. Thank you for shouting this out and also about little twisted mexi why I can't stand him not only cuz of my personal debate with him but because he has managed to lock a fkn mod for two years simply due to the excuse of ohhh people won't know how to use it yet because it's beta...um isn't most of the shit we get kinda beta? HELL our fkn games are half the time beta dlcs. Tons of bugs. Yet we as community have advanced and can utilize many tools to figure out shit. He could have easily made it so if people were confused A they ask on discord, reddit, tumblr, Or B he could add a video tutorial or even a fkn guide. Like I still don't fkn get tool yet that thing has been released for foreverr. Never apolgize for that super fkn arragonant son of a gun and as for JaySims yet his post was so fake and so weird and I dead ass read it like three times. At first I was confused what we were getting then I read it again and was like wait this is fkn stupid I wants your mods CINNAMON tier has wtf. But since I'm a pirate I got most of his mods. I haven't played with them yet I'l let you know if they are even worth it. So far hes going to end up being another fake toxic creator just like the rest of them. Arnie is building a create a world mod yet we will see how long that's in early access since the mother fucking is now ignoring my question since he didn't like my other comment so deleted that one so I rewrote it where it didn't seem to offend him yet he clearly is bothered by what I said before because now he's ignoring my fkn comment so if anyone reads this and knows when the little asshole is locking that mod for let me know. Also if Arnie can shell out create a world mod and not have it locked for two years why can't twisted mexi. Anyways the entitlement has overreached in this community. I will totally support donations but being obligated to pay them fuck that. That's why some of us even just pirate tv shows because netflix and all these apps be wilding with their fkn prices. Wait what did you mean by this comment lol " were just too stupid to understand your big heart idea," you mean like he had people believing basically being gaslighted that this was a good idea but really wasn't lol at first I thought you were calling ppl stupid and I was like nah my girl would not say that so let me read that again. Wait I just read something I missed...wait so this great poverty plan idea was only going to be available for 3 weeks or what was it about the 3 weeks thing cuz I thought this idea of his was forever so you could hop on board anytime..wilddd

"Wait what did you mean by this comment lol " were just too stupid to understand your big heart idea," you mean like he had people believing basically being gaslighted that this was a good idea but really wasn't lol at first I thought you were calling ppl stupid and I was like nah my girl would not say that so let me read that again." The comments and his replies are still on the post that he completely overhauled - for now at least, because he can point to them now and pretend to not know what the fuss was about. He implied, repeatedly, that folks just didn't understand his big heart idea and that they just needed to re-read it until they got it. I went the extra step and translated what was really implied every time he replied with that. Anyone can argue that I can't possible know that that's what he meant - that you're all just too stupid to understand his big heart idea - but c'mon now! 😹 ─ "Wait I just read something I missed...wait so this great poverty plan idea was only going to be available for 3 weeks or what was it about the 3 weeks thing cuz I thought this idea of his was forever so you could hop on board anytime..wilddd" No, no, you are correct in the first part. The plan was exclusive permanently pay-walled content in special "pay to unlock this specific post" Patreon posts, that he would then "rotate out" (read as remove/delete) to avoid being in breach of EAxis' 3-week Early Access guideline. It was a way to circumvent that guideline while pretending that's not what he was doing, so that he could appear to be acting in good faith. In other words, it was pure, unadulterated, misleading bullshit.

I read several of JayESims posts about this, and while I don't really understand what's going on in terms of their tiers changing, the language seems a bit condescending and reeks of savior complex.

I hate how hustle culture has pretty much seeped into every aspect of life at this point. Not sure if this relates to the paywalling, but I feel it does.
