Punisher: One Last Kill feels like it takes place after the conclusion of The Punisher [🌐]. It never once references the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, or even feels like it exists in the same universe.
I could let the above slide it was actually good, but it's not.
The action is fine, but the plot is stupid, and it ends with "Ma" Gnucci es-capping.
Is she meant to show up again in the future?
To do what exactly? Hire some more hit-men to kill Frank?
Did Frank go back to the apartment complex and kill the rest of the wannabe hit-men who were terrorizing the other residents because they're looking for him?
How is he walking around the neighborhood afterwards without hit-men just popping up from manholes like it's Whack-A-Mole? Did "Ma" "forget" where Frank was, like Darkseid "forgot" where Earth was, or did "Ma" fall off a cliff after the cut, never to be seen or heard from again, while Frank elopes to Spider-ville?
What the actual !@#$ did I just waste my time watching?!
It's not super-hero fatigue.

I used to have this nightmare about ants or cockroaches living inside my bed's wooden frame, and there would be like this bit where a layer of wood broke off and I'd see them scurrying around - like an entire colony just scurrying from one side to the other, running over and under each other. It makes my skin crawl from just visualizing it.

I know what Jon Bernthal is busy doing, and I don't care.
In-MCU, it makes absolutely no sense that he would not be present during the events of Born Again Season 2.
Why drag the character into Season 1, with a cliffhanger ending like that, then fail to secure the actor for Season 2, while making the plot of Season 2 what it is?
An Avenger not aiding Daredevil already makes no catdamn sense, and now Punisher isn't there either?
I'm not currently excited to see a Punisher "special", or to see Punisher in the next Spider-Man movie, because Born Again Season 2 is where he is supposed to be!
I keep expecting him to walk in, in one of these scenes where someone is getting shot or murdered, but he ain't !@#$ing here, innit?!
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is ruining Punisher for me, by not having him present.

Why are the protagonists so ignorant, incompetent, and downright stupid this season?
Why would Karen go to a protest when she's a wanted fugitive and we've established that the Fisk Force isn't above openly murdering people? To be fair, I can understand going to the protest, but why would she then volunteer to be the one to look after whatshisface while he's unconscious on the ground, while standing literally next to Fisk Force agents, after just hearing a gunshot go off?!
Fast-forward to the most recent episode and why the actual !@#$ would she then stand in arms length of Fisk while in a jail cell? It's as stupid, if not more stupid, than the doctor who failed to save Veronica's life, giving Fisk a hug, and then getting crushed to death!
Is that the "toxic empathy" I keep hearing regressive right-wingers whine about? 'Cause that ain't any form of empathy, it's just downright stupidity.
The governor is so out of touch with reality that she doesn't think that Fisk would send someone to murder her?
Daredevil and Karen decide to hand off their most important witness to federal agents, which results in the witness and the federal agents all being executed.
New White Tiger entrusts the backside whose actions got her mom arrested, with getting said witness's testimony to BB, and he slips it to her IN FRONT OF BLAKE, and then BB, apparently oblivious to how suspicious all of the shit she been doing makes her look, goes home with Blake to celebrate his cake day with what appears to be the !@#$ing flash drive with the !@#$ing testimony on it!

So, CIA goons come a-knocking, 'cause the CIA is corrupt and in cahoots with Fisk (just like the CIA is corrupt and funds terrorism in the real world), and she dispatches them.
Then she comes a-complaining to Daredevil about how he promised that the shit he's dealing with wouldn't spill over (which I assume she knows he has no control over, because she knows the CIA goon who sent the CIA goons after her), and it is revealed that since having a kid, her abilities have been coming and going, so what do these two not-so-invincible vigilante heroes decide to do?
Oh, well, they gon' lay siege to Precinct 13, baby!
And in the process of laying siege to Precinct 13, Jessica loses her powers in front of none other than Mr. Fisk Force himself, Connor Powell, and what pray tell do they do to Connor Powell after this happens? Well, they knock him out and then allow him to escape, which then leads to him notifying everyone that Jessica Jones ain't shit no more.

See the problem with Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, is that we are now squarely in a real-life era of blatant and rampant corruption, extremism, and fascism, where scores of people are either supporting it wholeheartedly, self-deluding themselves into "keeping their heads down and trying to get by", or have their heads shoved so far up their own ideological arses that they dare not criticize a fucking thing, lest they be forced to self-reflect on their own fucking bullshit and what happens when no one keeps it in check, and to watch this fictional story play out in such parallels, is absolutely fucking frustrating.
What is the purpose of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 with all it's blatant religious messaging, in a world where Catholic Church clergy whine to Donald Trump about "religious persecution", because a Democrat lawmaker tried to pass a bill that would force them to have to report instances of child abuse and child rape to the authorities, which they see as an affront to their sacred right to rape chil- SORRY, I meant their sacred right to "confession"... and silencing victims, and covering up for rapists, while giving them access to more and more children, across the fucking world no less, because they're an international organization that everyone chooses to turn a blind eye to, even after everything that has been exposed - LIKE HOW THEY SQUIRREL AROUND CHILD RAPISTS TO DIFFERENT CHURCHES, GIVING THEM ACCESS TO MORE KIDS, AND MORE KIDS, AND MORE FUCKING KIDS.
If nothing else, I am consistent and relentless with the issues I rage against.

She made another (what I'd consider) "coddle the theists" video recently about "not hating God" (I HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET, I'm judging the book by its cover), as though coddling the feelings of the oh so persecuted theists ain't part of the fucking reason we're here right now, but <INHALES SHARPLY> I will let it slide, because unfortunately we do need people willing to coddle the fucking theists, because we've been coddling them for so fucking long while they've been actively spreading their ideological bullshit, that we are still the fucking minority, and we actually need some of them to get their heads out of their arses, which appears to be a feat some of them cannot fucking do while taking criticism, because they've been brainwashed into making their religion their entire fucking identities.

This isn't gonna be a regular thing. Y'all ain't here for my movie and series critiques. I'm just kinda irritated and I want to share that irritation.
I've enjoyed this series thus far, but I just watched the season 1 finale (episode 9) and I have a serious issue with the final three Punisher scenes.
The Punisher Task Force is not above murdering unarmed civilians or vigilantes.
Knowing how ruthless The Punisher is, how does anyone think that taking him alive and putting him in a cage is a good idea that won't end in him killing the first person he gets his hands on?
The scene leading to him getting captured should have just ended with him killing all of the members of the Task Force that he went up against, while maybe incurring grave injuries.
Or maybe the torture scene directly following that should have ended with Daredevil coming to the rescue, or maybe have less Task Force cops there and have The Punisher break free and kill them, then escape.
I don't understand the logic here.
Also, where did his shotgun go?!

Never-mind. I just answered my own complaint.
The members of The Punisher Task Force have deluded themselves into thinking they're "doing good" by working for a ruthless criminal and doing his bidding, which includes murdering civilians and the vigilantes who fight for them, so of course they'd also delude themselves into thinking "some time in the cage" would make The Punisher change his mind and lead their little demented fan club.

Have you noticed how much real life is beginning to look like the dystopian media we consume? Some of us just enjoy the media while others appear to idolize it and see it as some kind of manifesto that they must make a reality.
