THIS WORKS AS A BAND-AID FOR THE UNDERWEAR ISSUE CAUSED BY THE "AUTOMATIC OUTFIT SWITCHING" BUG, BUT IT IS NOT A FIX. If EAxis ever properly fixes this, you can delete all of these files, unless you just want a functioning underwear override - https://../posts/117488610

THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE MOSAIC CENSOR! That's a different "thing".

This replaces the default underwear with the hidden "NudePart" CAS items. In effect, it's a nude mod. There are TWO (2) variants of this, and you likely want the "ROGender" variant.

This works for all sims aged TEEN and older, and due to the unresolved "bug" that forced me to make this, I will include SEPARATE "add-on" downloads for CHILDREN and TODDLERS. Perhaps you just don't want to see bugged out underwear on anyone.

I have no idea if this conflicts with WW. I MIGHT check soon since I finally re-downloaded WW, but as long as my overrides have load priority, it won't matter. Suck it, WW! 😹

⋆⋅ ABOUT DEM DARN KIDS:

I still haven't checked if the "bug" is affecting Children, but I assume it is, because they use the same internal "EnterBathing" functions.

However, "NudePart" overrides for kids and younger might be too scandalous, even if it's meant to address a bug, and methinks I create enough drama for myself every time I rant or criticize or even just login to Answers HQ.

Gimme some time, I'll take a gander at the "EnterBathing" Tuning resources and see if I can band-aid it from that side.

Should I have restricted this to YOUNG ADULT and up? Do teens even have nude interactions? I don't know! I don't have teen sims!

I know folks can be weird about nudity, though I'd argue that's because we objectify and sexualize each other and not because nudity is inherently sexual.

I initially decided against doing overrides for Children or younger, but I am losing my patience with these bugs while EAxis continues to focus on churning out premium content, now with the help of our creator community - I'm not jealous, I'm irritated that our game remains in a broken state and getting worse every time EAxis touches it.

Furthermore, everyone else I've seen who has done a mod like this in the past, has included overrides for younger age groups. The only difference is that mine is fine-tuned to combat a "bug".

If this bothers you, I implore you to dog-pile EAxis until they fix what they broke in Update 10/22/2024 - THREE (3) MONTHS AGO as of this writing. I had no intention of sharing a nude mod, and certainly not one with overrides for kids. The fact we have to do this for standard gameplay is ridiculous. I will include a new EA Forums Bug Report link whenever it becomes available.

⋆⋅ A WORD ON "NUDEPART" OVERRIDES:

"NudeParts" are the hidden nude CAS items that are applied/equipped to your sim whenever they're meant to be nude.

"NudeParts" are special, or should I say, the game interacts with "NudeParts" differently than regular clothing. They have a special Tag and a special Buff assigned to them.

Initially I had to do some shenanigans to make these work because I did not want to do CLONE OVERRIDES ("CLOVERRIDES"). I'm still not doing CLOVERRIDES, because I figured out why those shenanigans were necessary and I no longer need to do them.

⋆⋅ TWO ARCHIVES = TWO "RO" VARIANTS:

1️⃣ sej_CASOLwdMERC_BG_NudePart_ROGender_[YYMMDD]_[RELINFO].zip

• "ROGender" (Restrict Opposite Gender) is locked to Gender (Sex).

• You likely want this one whether your sim is "cisframe" or "transframe".

2️⃣ sej_CASOLwdMERC_BG_NudePart_ROFrame_[YYMMDD]_[RELINFO].zip

• "ROFrame" (Restrict Opposite Frame) is locked to Physical Frame.

• You might only want this one if you have an upper body or full body texture overlay or custom top body part for "transframe" sims. This is because skin textures are "ROGender". It's the reason why exposed chests look weird on "transframe" sims - the skin textures don't match the mesh.

⋆⋅ THREE (3) PACKAGES FOR EACH VARIANT:

1️⃣ sej_CASOLwdMERC_BG_NudePart.package

• Adds "DefaultForBodyType[X]" flags to the "NudeParts" and fixes other EAxis PartFlag shenanigans.

• One variant is configured for "Restrict Opposite Gender" and the other is configured for "Restrict Opposite Frame". Both modify the same hidden CAS "clothing" items.

• You can rename these and suffix their filenames with "ROG" or "ROF" but only the one with load priority will be active in your game.

2️⃣ sej_CASOLwdMERC_BG_Underwear.package

• Removes "DefaultForBodyType[X]" flags from the "default underwear" and fixes other EAxis PartFlag shenanigans.

• These are identical in every way.

• You can use this independently to remove the "default underwear", but only if you have a "default replacement" to use. If you don't have a "default replacement", you'll likely end up with with a floating head when your sim is nude.

3️⃣ sej_LEWD_BG_TagTuning_TagNudityMapping.package

• This is an odd Tuning resource. I don't know for certain why the YA+ MALE definitions are configured to the YA+ FEMALE body parts. It likely has something to do with the way the female and male nude tops are configured - one is socially acceptable, while the other is not, dontcha know! I'll do some further testing at a later date.

⋆⋅ YOU LIKELY WANT THE "ROGENDER" VARIANT:

If you're using a third-party mod like WW, where you have the ability to define body parts for sims, then it really doesn't matter which variant you use, but maybe still grab "ROGender".

The hidden nude parts and the default underwear are both "ROGender". "ROGender" is what we're accustomed to for underwear and nudity.

Furthermore, skin textures are also "ROGender". One of these days I will look into this. If I can "ROFrame" skin textures, "transframe" sims can avoid having odd-looking chests because of the mesh and skin texture mismatch.

A Male / Feminine Frame sim using the "ROGender" variant will use the MALE Top and Bottom when nude, meaning no breasts but weird posture - because M/FF sims have weird posture when wearing MASCULINE Frame clothing. Your posture will be "corrected" when you wear FEMININE Frame clothing:

A Male / Feminine Frame sim using the "ROFrame" variant will use the FEMALE Top and Bottom when nude, meaning they'll have breasts and proper posture, but the skin texture remains MALE, and it doesn't align with breasts, so it looks bad. This is the chest texture "glitch" observed when wearing low cut tops or dresses/gowns:

For "cisframe" sims, you're not gonna see a difference between the two variants and you can use whichever you want, but maybe still grab "ROGender". <insert shooing hand gesture> 😹

⋆⋅ SO WHY THE "ROFRAME" VARIANT:

Well, I'ma tell it to ya! Uh... I already told it to ya!

It's for simmers who might have an upper body or full body texture overlay or top body part for "transframe" sims. For instance, Simdulgence's body bits comes with a texture overlay and a top body part override, which I've showcased in a few of my screenshots.

I might do my own texture overlay in the future when I get around to learning skin textures 'cause I really need to fix that triangle crotch shadow on female sims. It's !@#$ing ugly! Holy !@#$! Why?!

☄️ 1/31/2025 #1 - UPDATED FOR REACTIONS, BABY!

This update was meant to replace the OVERRIDES with CLOVERRIDES ("CLONE OVERRIDES"), but I had a breakthrough and figured out why regular OVERRIDES never worked for the YA nude tops!

"NudePart" and "Underwear" OVERRIDES are rebuilt and a new "Lewd Thing" Tuning Override is included in the update. This new "Lewd Thing" only exists for this, so unless I find another use for it, this is the only place it will ever be available.

⚡ 1/30/2025 #5 - WHY? WHA?!

Why is the Masculine Frame variant of "UnderwearSexy" flagged as "DefaultForBodyTypeFemale"?! I'm still sometimes surprised at just how bad EAxis is at PartFlags.

I should fix Children's underwear while I'm here and kick off the Base Game CAS Overrides. ⚡ 1/30/2025 #4 - SUCCESS, BUT IS "PRIVACY INVADED!" BROKEN?

Verified the CAS Override with the Tuning Override works and verified the ROFrame variant works. We don't even appear to need the CAS Override for the underwear, but I will leave it in just in case.

I verified, the following behavior is by design:

Am I understanding correctly that nude sims will only change back into their clothing when around teens and younger, but they don't when other adult sims are around? That's what I'm experiencing with the BAND-AID and unmodded. I thought we got the "Privacy Invaded!" buff around everyone? Is this broken too?

⚡ 1/30/2025 #3 - REACTIONS, BABY!

I triggered the bug by Changing into Nude, then showered for good measure, then Save and Resume, then Change into Nude, and voila! REACTIONS, BABY!

Now I need to remove all my other mods to verify that one of them isn't making it work, then I need to verify that the ROFrame variant works. If it all goes well, I can wrap up this update and push it out and be done with this BAND-AID... until some other issue arises.

Also, I'm overriding Children and Toddlers, but not Infants. Infant nude bottoms appear to be proper !@#$ed. There's a big gap between the bottom mesh and the body. I'll investigate, but at first glance it looks proper !@#$ed. I will include these as separate ARCHIVES for anyone who wants it. Don't come at me for this. Instead, tell EAxis to fix their !@#$. None of this would be necessary if EAxis would 👏 FIX 👏🏾 THEIR 👏🏼 !@#$.

Also, I still want to try to BAND-AID this from the "EnterBathing" angle. I just really don't care for a TS4SCRIPT mod to reset my Bathing/Nude outfit that I have to use constantly.

⚡ 1/30/2025 #2 - THE NEW MAIN MENU HURTS MY EYES.

Seriously, I need to nuke this thing by modding it myself or downloading a third-party mod. I'd be fine with just a plain color and no sim thumbnail. Those EAxis poses are horrid to look at so often!

⚡ 1/30/2025 #1 - WHY SO MANY REDUNDANCIES?!

Every time in the past that I've tried to do a "simple" override of these things, I've encountered an issue. If you OVERRIDE (not CLONE to override - if you get my meaning) the underwear and "nude parts" to replace each other with the required "DefaultForBodyType[X]" flags reconfigured, you'll end up with the selfsame "Salmon" top that you just modified still appearing on the sim, even though the bottoms work properly. This is because there's a Tuning resource defining which tops are used.

I've noticed a fair amount of this redundant nonsense in other areas. It's quite annoying. The whole reason why the overrides in the INITIAL RELEASE had to be configured a certain way is because of this redundant Tuning resource that I didn't know about before. I assume most creators use CLONES instead of OVERRIDES for this because they experienced the same nonsense. <GRINDS TEETH>

I had intended for the next update to be CLONE overrides, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't just add this Tuning override I'm testing, and keep this BAND-AID an "OVERRIDE override".

I still need to test it in Live Mode to see if the nude reaction is triggering.
