• Modifies "template_youngadult_male_african" to replace an improper ASIAN Tag with the proper AFRICAN Tag.

🐞 [EP01] Scientist Career - Graveyard Shift and Gardening Fix by gettp

• Updated - 1/15/2025

• Modifies multiple "careerLevels_Scientist" and "job_CareerScientist_Coworker" to "change the Scientist Career work hours from 10am-7pm to 12am-9am. This allows your sim to work the graveyard shift at the lab! Since the plants on lots only spawn fruit/flowers at 5am, this has the added benefit of allowing your sim to accomplish most tasks at the Science Lab. Plants at the Lab will now dry out, get weeds, spawn fruit and flowers, etc!"

My days of "playing along" and posting Bug Reports on Answers HQ are over - at least for now.

It's quite possible that after I posted my Bug Report exposing EP16 LOVESTRUCK's abysmal CAS PartFlags that someone finally paid attention and that's why EP17 LIFE & DEATH wasn't a PartFlag disaster. It's also possible that all the time and energy I devoted to that Bug Report reached absolutely no one.

I have nothing against the volunteers at AHQ but I simply have no more patience for it. The fact that, as of this writing, we've had NINE (9) official updates since Update 7/23/2024 broke those Deformer Maps and broke all of our bodies and every time we get updated, I bump that Bug Report, and still nothing has been done? Yeah, I'm wasting my time.

I know I have an attitude, but it's been TEN (10) years. Some of you may have only just started playing The Sims 4, but it's been TEN (10) years, and for those of us paying attention to bugs, all we see is a developer and publisher that neither cares about what they put out, nor do they care to fix it in a timely fashion, nor are they competent enough to not somehow resurrect the same bugs year after year after year, ad infinitum. Game development is hard, but it ain't Rocket Science.

AHQ proudly displays a list of third-party BUGFIXES that have never been included in the game. Console simmers can't install third-party BUGFIXES, now can they? It feels insulting that they know these BUGFIXES exist for bugs that are IN THE GAME AND AFFECTING SIMMERS but choose not to patch them in.

The fix for the Pizza Delivery Specialist has existed since 2021, but only this year was it patched into the game. It's 2024. That's THREE (3) years, bub.

Then there's the fact that AHQ isn't the only official The Sims 4 forum, is it?

No. There's another one, and Bug Reports get posted there too.

Which one are we meant to be on?

Which one does EAxis pay attention to that they can boldly make the statement that they only noticed there was "an issue with Happy At Home" a week before they fixed it, when there was THREE MONTHS WORTH OF BUG REPORTS ON AHQ by that point? Obviously they were aware because it was EA personnel who temporarily banned me from AHQ for sharing solutions when they wouldn't.

I never did read that DM they sent me after banning me that time, intentionally, 'cause I might have gotten myself perma-banned with my response.

Communication is easy. I'm socially awkward and I can type a wall of text no problem. There are many people in the world who aren't socially awkward, so there's no excuse.

Then again, The Sims 4 practically prints money, so why would they change the way they conduct business?
