The mods have an installer now, starting with the Insta360

The russozl hub is a small Windows app that installs the mods for you. You sign in with your Patreon, it finds Assetto Corsa and puts each mod in the right folder. Updates install themselves every time you open it.

Why I made it

Installing by hand was too easy to get wrong. Drop the zip in the wrong folder and the app never shows up in the game, and nothing on the screen tells you why. One post got 13 comments from the same person just trying to figure out where the file goes. That's on me, not on them.

Old posts were the other problem. A new member downloaded a build from months ago and couldn't find any of the newer features. The hub only has one version of each mod: the current one.

Sharing is the last reason. Your install is tied to your Patreon and your PC, so a copied folder won't run on someone else's machine. Memberships are what keep these mods going, so this matters to me.

How to use it

  1. Download the zip attached to this post and run RussozlHub-Setup.exe. No admin rights needed.

  2. Click Sign in with Patreon. Your browser opens, you approve, and the hub picks it up by itself.

  3. Pick the mod you want and click Install.

Assetto Corsa gets found automatically. If it isn't, click Set game folder. Your membership works on two PCs, and you can uninstall the hub from Add or Remove Programs like any other program.

What's in it

Right now you can install the Insta360. Walking Mod, Mobile Cam and OBS Chase Cam are already listed as Soon, and they're moving in one at a time. If your tier doesn't include a mod, the button says Unlock and takes you to Patreon.

About the blue Windows warning

Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" the first time you run it. That's not a virus alert. Windows shows it for any program that hasn't been downloaded by many people yet, and the hub is brand new. Click More info, then Run anyway. I use this same hub on my own PC, and the warning should go away as more people install it.
