Dev Update - 2026/10/09
Hey everyone,
Another busy week lies behind me.
In general, progress in October will be slower than usual (outside of being away from home, of course) because the day job keeps me pretty busy.
Usually, I can work quite a lot from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility and time savings.
This month, I have to be in the office a lot more than usual.
That means 2- 3 hours of travel time each day that I can't spend on the game.
And getting up at 5 AM also takes its toll in the evening. :-/
I'll still do my best to squeeze in as much dev time as possible, though.
Back to dev talk...
I wanted to have this scene finished by now and focus on creating the first test build (as mentioned last week), but I'm not there yet.
I expanded it a little with some more lines of dialogue I thought were necessary, and roughly half of the renders for that part are still to be done.
I'll finish setting them up today and then start with the test build on the weekend once the images are rendered.
The goal for next week will be to finish the testing and then get as much work done as possible with 3 days at the office :-/
The numbers for this week:
95 new static renders for a total of 436
0 animations
121 new lines in the script files for a total of 1008
Have a nice weekend, guys.
Cheers,
Ceo

Thank you for the update 😎👍
always :-)
I would actuality prefer to work from home. I average 1-1500 miles per week and sometimes 15-16 hour days, then my ranch on the weekends when I'm with my family. I feel ya.
oof. that's even worse. I might even stop complaining (no, I won't :-D )
Travel time to work really sucks! I have 1,5 hours each direction. And the sad thing is, I really want to meet my colleaues. Working from home is good, but not for too many days in a row.
pretty much. For me it's getting up at 5 AM and having a little over 1 hour each direction, or getting up later and having 1.5-2 hours each :-/
👍
