Dev Update - 2026/02/27

Hey everyone,

As mentioned last week, I had to set up a more complex scene this week.
I knew it was going to be a problem with VRAM (even after shrinking textures by half), and thought about using the 5090 (32GB VRAM) to render.

But DAZ being DAZ, the DAZ Alpha (which is needed for the 5090 to work) has a problem with the Render Queue (batch render too, so I can render overnight).
While it still has the option to suppress loading errors for a scene, it actually does not.
That means, whenever there's a loading error, the queue stops.
And since DAZ almost always finds some "missing morph" or shit you never even used in a scene, I can't batch render there without opening and re-saving every scene before building the queue. With the loading time for more than 20 characters, it's becoming less time-effective than tip-toeing around the 24GB of the 4090.

So the next week will be me fighting tech stuff to get the "reality" as close as possible to what I had in mind for the scene.
And after that, I'll have another scene planned that will run into the same problem... joy. :-D

Enough with the complaints, I'll go back to cry in silence.

109 new static renders for a total of 712
0 new animations, total still 14
279 new lines in the script files for a total of 2373
