Dev Update - 2026/01/30

Hey everyone,

The second of the two busy weeks is about to end.
The render PC is still chewing through the animations from last week, and I'm building up the queue on the main PC.
I spent quite a bit of time setting up the render PC with the 5090 I bought at the start of the year. I've had an eye on that one for a while now, but I hesitated to buy it because DAZ doesn't support the 50xx series fully - only through a DAZ Studio Alpha build, which doesn't support scripts.
I pulled the trigger on the 5090 because I expected the prices to rise even more - and I was right.
The store where I bought it is now completely sold out on the 5090, and the one I bought is now up by more than 20% compared to what I paid.

Anyway, since I had it lying around now, I figured I should put it to use.
Posing on it is almost impossible due to the DAZ Alpha, so it went into the render rig for the time being.
Since then, it's busy rendering the animations from last week and does a decent job at it.
I'm looking forward to working with it when DAZ finally gets their shit together and releases the new Studio version... we probably have the 60xx series by then...

Anyway, I still got a bit of work done besides all that.
I wrapped up Elea's scene and started working on Fiona's first scene. When I'm done with that scene, it's time for my first internal test build.
I hope to be close to that by the end of next week.

The numbers for this week:
69 new static renders for a total of 285
0 new animations, in total 14
165 new lines in the script file for a total of 1093
