I'm glad they swapped out Karl for the new handyman, I can't imagine it would be believable if it were Karl being so nasty.

Lifting up the rear wheel by the seat and getting the kid to pedal up to speed before lowering it down is the best way to teach riding a bike.

I don' t agree that the Geoff turnaround was too quick. Although people can warm to others over time, usually people with built up anger leading to antisocial behaviour have to be shocked into waking up to themselves and I think that is what happened here. He exploded, then was physically defeated by Derek, he embarrassed himself, and nearly lost his job. I think he came to a realisation. He had a chip that was knocked off his shoulder.

I took my mrs to a fancy french restaurant the other day. Very nice, very expensive. The lady on the next table to us had a combo of frogs legs and chicken breast, but she had a fantastic personality......

Things can seem "rushed" sometimes, but the alternative to that is dragging a show out for 7000 episodes and the 30 writers and 500 producers running out of ideas, to the point where you get episodes where either nothing happens, or you get the cast inexplicably doing a song and dance routine

You are a legend Mike, I think sometimes you can relate to people's lives and situations in the most unexpected times. Seeing you two watch this show has given me more of an appreciation for the show

I lost my father 5 months ago and I lost my mother last week, I quit work and I was with them both everyday and did all I could for them for the last year when they were both ill. This episode hits hard. It's great for me to watch these reactions, they have kept me going through rough times so thank you 👍

Really enjoyed this. It's lovely re-visiting it after many years and forgetting most of what happened apart from one or two set pieces which really stuck with me. So in awe of Ricky Gervaise's talent for writing and directing AND acting. Looking forward to the Christmas special.

I've never watched derek before. The writing is amazing just like after life. Ricky has a way of depicting life that always makes you think about your own. Beautiful episode. 😓
