Jez is such a mug and a mark, brings it entirely on himself, always thinking with the small head not the big one.

Gutted you missed the "break up with him then" from Gail. Thought that'd get a reaction for sure lol

Super Hans is quite level-headed when he's off the crack tbf, and more street-wise than Mark and Jeremy.

😂😂😂♥♥ Yes, it was mould on the wall. Btw, a classic 70s UK sitcom you'd probably love is 'Rising Damp'. It's a kind of pre-Fawlty Towers Fawlty Towers, about a miserly and misanthropic landlord and his tenants / "friends". It's much loved and is very very funny. 4 series, 24 min eps. One of the tenants is played by Kate Beckinsale's dad.

Mike if you're going to let Jez life coach you, I suggest you ensure you have plenty of lube.

This great episode was written by Tom Basden, who played Tony’s (Ricky Gervais) brother-in-law in “AfterLife,” and the autograph seller in the episode of “Derek.” Tom had a recurring role in (and co-wrote) the sitcom “Plebs,” set in Roman times which also starred Tom Rosenthal (Jonathan in “ Friday Night Dinner.”) “Plebs” would be another good show to react too.

He wrote and acts in Here We Go also

Some British culture insight you may not know (this is after you asked if hans purposely sent Mark to a pointless meeting). I worked in sales for 15 years, and over here we have sales meetings and pitches constantly that lead nowhere because of our weird inability to be direct. When I pitch US companies it's always either a straight interested or not interested. In the UK every single conversation is a maybe, even after a no, they will accept a meeting to hear you out, then fob you off. So over here we always "send someone anyway" lol. What a life.

What a way to start the day on a Monday morning before work. Thanks guys this really starts my week in a great way! Then Gavin and Stacey, then Derek in the week. It’s literally like you’ve asked me what I want to watch and you’ve just gone and done it. Much love to you both!

I’ve learned now not to listen to this while exercising. I couldn’t complete any sets because of cracking up. I also worry that I looked like a lunatic randomly laughing apropos of nothing.

When people say damp, the full term is ‘rising damp’. It’s the moisture which leads to mould if untreated.

D
David Harman · October 5, 2026

Rising damp is one form of damp where moisture works its way up the masonry from ground level, normally because the dpc has failed. Assuming mark is not on a ground floor flat, other types of damp are more likely. Water tracking across the cavity where walls are exposed to driving rain, or water pooling at the cavity trays where weep holes are blocked. Even cold spots where condensation forms, often made worse with poor ventilation within the flat.

Was the bloke in the factory from the office? The one who did the team exercises etc? Was he also in that film about weddings with Jez and Sophie in the buff?

C
ColdStarr · September 7, 2026

I never noticed that before but yeah I’m sure that’s him

L

Damp is mould, it’s sadly very common because houses in poorer parts of the uk tend to be old and poor quality. And we don’t have AC so humidity doesn’t help

P
Paul Brooks · September 7, 2026

Damp. It can cause mould on the walls.

S
Sarah Radders · September 7, 2026

It is damp.. and yes it is mould

K
Kristian James · September 7, 2026

Yep that's mould, damp is a persistent problem in loads of properties of a certain age over here
