I never noticed all the Disney references, I wonder what that was about?

m
mradamhowell · September 25, 2026

I am glad you guys have seen this episode as well as the jolly boys outing. there are many good episodes to come such as miami twice which is one my favourites as well as strangers on a shore.

K
Kayleigh ✨ · September 20, 2026

I always hated Cassandra lol she’s fine at the start but turns into a super cold and controlling nag as soon as they get married.

s
steven bell · September 16, 2026

I love the hidden story layers of this episode and the longer you watch the more you notice some similarities then the ending just pulls every story line and all the hidden stories into an amazing ending

P
Paul Liversage · September 13, 2026

Partridge was not canned laughter...it was part performed infront of an audience or location scenes played to the audience....all laughs were genuine

A
Adam Senior · September 13, 2026

57:50 holy shit, Mike sounding like drakula 🤣🤣🤣

A
Adam Senior · September 13, 2026

Jess dying over her own cruella deville joke 🤣🤣

london to manchester is around 280 miles manchester is up north and london is in the south of england

D
Darren · September 8, 2026

London and Manchester is hours away from each other especially in that 3 wheel car they have lol

M
Mark P · September 8, 2026

There was another Walt Disney reference you missed and probably the most obvious one of the lot and that being when Boycie was at their flat asking Del to look out for his £2,000 hitech satalite receiver he wanted to make a point that he doesn't mean the £150 'Mickey Mouse' satalite dishes that you find glued to the side of council houses.

M
Matt · September 8, 2026

Something quite interesting is that in 1990, when this episode released, the Ninja Turtles in the UK were actually called "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles". I'm surprised they were called by the original name.

P
Paul Liversage · September 13, 2026

Everyone knew them as ninja

M
Matthew Roberts · September 7, 2026

Manchester airport is 226 miles (approximately 336 km)away from Gatwick. So driving to Manchester airport made no sense. Cassandra would have been waiting for 4-5 hours. Then it would have taken another 4-5 hours to drive back to Gatwick. That would have killed the romantic element.

J
J Lawrence · September 7, 2026

4 & ½ hours drive to Manchester Airport

L
Lee1987 · September 7, 2026

Just remember Mike and Jess that 99% of people enjoy your content, are endeared to you as people and are thankful they can relive their favourite shows with new people and new perspectives. Unfortunately 1% of imbeciles will make up about 50% of a comment section to make you think you need to justify yourself, but you don’t. There a cultural difference, often from a different era, and still you manage to grasp the sentiment most of the time. You will gravitate towards some things more than others, and you’re right to stick to the shows you enjoy because then it’s authentic, which is better for everyone. You have to tolerate negativity in any form of media, but you don’t have to justify yourself to people just because they don’t like the way you run your channel.

G
Gerard McCartan · September 8, 2026

I agree!!! In my opinion, people who get nasty at a reactor for not loving what they love is on certain parts of the spectrum that make them take personal offence at hearing something different than their beliefs. Instead of seeing a reactor , who doesnt like a particular show, they see it like the reactor is insulting their favourite shows and their intelligence for liking the show lol Snowflakes. Mike and Jess are honest and thats why we love them.

G
Gerard McCoy · September 6, 2026

I love alan partridge. I love only fools. But I can honestly say Mike's laughter track analogy made me laugh harder than anything 🤣😆😂

J
James · September 6, 2026

So waiting for more good shows to be done. One foot in the grave! Red dwarf, bottom, Brittas empire, porridge, keeping up appearances, Mr bean, black adder etc

T
The Bevmyster · September 6, 2026

Manchester to London is about a 3-4 hour drive. In a 3 wheeled van about 78days

M
Matt Thomas · September 6, 2026

FYI Peckam London is about 4hs drive to Manchester Airport :)

T
Thomas Wilkinson · September 6, 2026

When you finish the show, be kinda cool to do a watch along of episode 1 again, see grandad and how they all changed.

C
Callum Rose · September 6, 2026

They've gave up Alan partridge?

E
Emma Edwards · September 6, 2026

Yeah, if you watch the outro in the last Alan Partridge video, it’s all explained.

S
SomeBSName · September 6, 2026

London to Manchester? 3 - 4 hours, in a reliant robin in such a bad condition, you'd probably be looking at 5 hours.

D
Darren Keighley · September 6, 2026

For information, Manchester is in the NW of England, London is down south. In them days, it would have taken them around 4 hours + to drive up there.

K
Kate H · September 6, 2026

I love that bit with Boycie, Marlene and Tyler when Boycie walks away and Tyler says something and Marlene goes “yeah he’s daft isn’t he!” I always thought that looked ad libbed 😅

P
Paul89 · September 6, 2026

Banger of an episode

G
Gerard McCartan · September 6, 2026

OFAH leads you down a path and hits you with a TWIST at the end. Freaking love people thinking they know whats going to happen, then the genius of John Sullivans weaving and winding writing sits them all down! Ive been sat down by it too many times! Great reaction Mike and Jess..really LOVE your reactions to comedies, great channel!

J
Julian · September 6, 2026

There was no point Rodney driving to Manchester if the plane lands in 10 minutes. Cassandra wouldn’t be there when he arrived. She would have improvised and got the train back to London.

S
Suzy · September 8, 2026

Exactly. And no mobile phones to contact her and arrange a pickup. (Except Del's yuppy bricks, which were only any good for changing TV channels).

R
Rachel · September 6, 2026

I think they would love Fleabag.

J
Jim Barnes · September 6, 2026

It's ok that you don't get Partridge, Mike, no need to try and justify things. After the ending message to AP about spreading positivity it seems odd that you're still hung up on it, and to have a jab took me out of this reaction for sure...

R
RegenerationNationTV · September 6, 2026

No one is perfect. With the amount of flack I've gotten both public and private I'm perfectly within my right to point out a difference that someone decided to email me about and berade me over. Was just simply pointing out the huge difference a live audiance can make from one show to another. If you didn't make those comments then this wasn't directed at you, but I'm aloud to respond to criticism dude. My goal is to spread positivity. Mission was still very much accomplished

M
Matt · September 6, 2026

i just cant john sullivan was a master at comedy

M
Mark Rudd · September 6, 2026

London to Manchester is about 4 hour drive

W
Wilss · September 6, 2026

Look, just because you don't 'get' Partridge, doesn't mean you have to gave a dig at people that do. I laugh at Partridge 10 times more than this, it's just my humour, but I'm not gonna have a go at the audience laughing at this when I don't. It's all subjective.

S
Stu · September 6, 2026

Partridge is great. Some are a little too fluffy for his humour

A
AngieG · September 6, 2026

You need to watch the series called 'The Vicar of Dibley' at some point. The actor that plays 'Trigger' in 'Only fools' plays another equally hilarious character in that show too. Loads of hilarious characters in it and it's a really family friendly show.

A
Andy R · September 6, 2026

They've been told umpteen times who's in VofD, shame really as I like to see the surprise on reactors faces when they see someone familiar

C
Chris Smith · September 6, 2026

There's a timeline issue in this one, Del had acquired the dish for Boycie before he knew Boycie thought it was missing

S
Si · September 6, 2026

Eh? Del just acquired the dish before Boycie went round to see him.

R
Rob Jefferies · September 6, 2026

Manchester to Peckham takes between 4 and 5 hours to drive

S
Shane Meaney · September 6, 2026

"I'll have a large scotch mike" one of my favourite lines 😂

D
Dan · September 6, 2026

Class of 62 is the next big one im looking forward to but Stage Fright holds a special place in my heart 🤣

u
usualnameinfo4therevenge · September 6, 2026

It is funny, people have spent months saying 'it gets better', and now they are saying 'the show is in decline' - that peak didn't seem to last long! I do think the strength of the episodes from The Frog's Legacy to The Jolly Boy's Outing does make people remember the overall quality of the show as being higher than it is. Still, there are some very good episodes ahead.

L
Lolly · September 6, 2026

When this show is good it is very very good. Unfortunately there is some filler. The first couple of series are very flat based which limits the storylines to the three main characters. The 30 minute run time also impacted the writing. Then the BBC pressured Jon to write more christmas specials when he really should have left it alone. Even the bad episodes are worth a watch

C
CorporalFriendlyShark · September 6, 2026

I just can’t get on with Series 7 onwards. David Jason is noticeably older and Del has lost his edge with Raquel as a permanent fixture, and Rodney is constantly moaning and the storyline of his marital woes is tedious. There’s still some good bits, but we’ve already peaked at this point and are on the downward spiral in my opinion.

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

Maybe you can't face up to your own mortality?

s
steve milne · September 6, 2026

naughty naughty Mike, unnecessary dig at Alan Partridge there. We get it, its not your bag. And FYI they never used laugh tracks for AP - there was a live studio audience. Even the external scenes were shown in front of the audience for live reaction. No hate just saying.

J
Julian · September 6, 2026

He’s aware of that. I would still call it a laugh track whether it’s live or not. I think the dig was towards the audience and fully deserved.

P
Paul Brooks · September 6, 2026

There's quite a few 90's British references in this but it's great that you can still enjoy it. I love OFaH.

P
Paul Brooks · September 6, 2026

SWITCH IT OOOOOFF

A
Adrian Threlfall · September 6, 2026

I feel like fhe writing team had a bet how many disney references they could get away with lol

A
Ash Jeffries · September 6, 2026

The writing team consists of John Sullivan, John Sullivan, and John Sullivan.

M

Well Bronco does have a tendency to nick very silly things 😂

D
David Baird · September 6, 2026

The Trotter family have been eating this sort of cuisine for generations. Never done us any harm. My dad lived until he was 81.

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

All time classic Uncle joke. I reckon they save a few gold plated zingers for him

M
Morr10 · September 6, 2026

There's something about that Boycie and Marlene scene that cracks me up too 😂 Their relationship is amusing. Boycie'; Does nothing but moan. Marlene - so cheap and tacky that she dresses her baby in the same colours as her. But somehow the relationship works!

G
Graham1977 · September 6, 2026

Here's a thought, do you think they were trying to warn you of 9/11?

C
Chris Smith · September 6, 2026

Or worse, they inspired it!

A
Alexander Page · September 6, 2026

Since you used to do a lot of Karl Pilkington stuff, it might interest you to know that Manchester is where he’s from. I’m sure you knew, as they are constantly mocking him for it, but you might not have remembered in the moment.

C
Charlotte McGinn · September 6, 2026

This was always my favourite episode ending I remember seeing it as a kid and hiding behind a cushion!

J
Jen · September 6, 2026

C

Rodney’s character has become incredibly annoying by this point

J

Maybe, but it's pretty fitting for his age and character arc

Uncle Albert singing ‘Step Back In Time’ by Kylie Minogue 😎

7 episodes and 8 specials to go. What a journey you've been on

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

Jesus

K
Kiwi Tau · September 6, 2026

Unlike AP, ofah also has heartfelt moments. Eg the scene with Rodney and Del after Granddad died.

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

You don't think the bit where Alan and Michael make up in the second series isn't heartfelt and emotional? Your soul is black :P

A
Andy Roberts · September 6, 2026

Another great episode. Boycie is my favourite side character in this show, and he was on top form in this, and the resolution to the story was top-notch! Great start to the season and you have some more fantastic episodes still to come!

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

I think you spelt Denzil wrong :P

K
Kev McCarthy · September 6, 2026

Have you guys thought about watching the vicar of dibley. Roger Lloyd Pack who plays Trigger is in it, I think it would be a great show for reactions.

C
Charlotte McGinn · September 6, 2026

There's so many good characters in Vicar of Dibley too!

M
Michael May · September 6, 2026

I always thought the actress who played Cassandra was a bit iffy, glad I’m not the only one and you noticed the crying! Haha

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

She's great

G
Glenn Standen · September 6, 2026

Another great anticipated #RNTV Sunday AM watch with....Just a guide, when it comes to CR slang when talking about buy/sell stuff, more used in the earlier shows, instead of saying a value '20' words are used instead: e.g. 'Thats a score, guv' or 'Whats the damage on that?' (how much?) - 'a monkey!' £1 = Quid / Nicker £5 = Lady Godiva / Deep Sea Diver / Fiver £10 = Cock and Hen / Ayrton Senna / Tenner £20 = Score £25 = Pony £50 = Nifty / Bullseye £100 = Ton £500 = Monkey £1,000 = Grand / Bag of Sand

J
Jamie · September 6, 2026

Sort of gave up in the middle there, aye?

S
Scott Meadows · September 6, 2026

Manchester is about a 4 hour drive from Peckham

J
Jack Phillips · September 6, 2026

That's nothing for an American. That's a normal commute. As the UKs so small a 30 minute drive is too long for a work commute so anything over 30 mins is only worth it if it's for a day out

B
Billy · September 6, 2026

anyone else think they should do both miami twice episodes in one go?

It's pants (in my opinion). Rock and Chips is must watch tho.

Can I offer I'm Alan Partridge as an alternative great?

O
Orlando Trustfull · September 6, 2026

Mate, just don't watch I'm Alan Partridge, its clear that you hate it 😂 even the bits Jess laughed at she was hiding her face while she did. We'd prefer if you watched something you enjoy.

Did you use a sausage as a breakwater? *cries*

L
Liam · September 6, 2026

Growing up I always thought Cassandra crying was so cringy and when Sky+ came around I would pause that scene for a bit, and then fast-forward it. Terrible acting haha

L

🥱 Just enjoy your Sunday, pal

L
Lily · September 6, 2026

You’re about to have a generational run of 10 great episodes

A

We used to have these episodes on vhs recorded from the telly, and I watched them a million times. I never made the connection that Marlene was wearing Cruelle deVille’s coat.

S
Simon Scott · September 6, 2026

I love ofah so much

A
Alexander Page · September 6, 2026

Two Bob bits=shits, which is slang for diarrhoea. In old money, there were 12 pence in a shilling, 20 shillings in a pound. A bob was slang for a shilling, so a two bob bit was a two shilling coin.

J
Julian · September 6, 2026

I think of a Bob as 5p because that’s what it was worth in new money, and people still used the term after decimalisation. I can remember my dad using ten bob to mean 50p.

K
Kane · September 6, 2026

“I’ll have a large scotch Mike”

A
Alexander Page · September 6, 2026

I think it’s more Raquel that’s embarrassed about sleeping with Del. In the last one she told Del not to tell anyone because she was worried about getting a reputation. I don’t think that would make much difference. As everyone knows she’s staying there, I’m sure they all assumed they were sleeping together. Both Rodney, Mickey and Jevon seemed surprised that they weren’t.

D
Damien · September 6, 2026

She said that because of the dates episode where she was a stripper . So she was embarrassed about that being revealed to all dels mates so she doesn’t want to seem like she’s easy I guess after that .

D
Daz · September 6, 2026

The fact you both referenced Go Ninja Go Ninja Go just made my day even better 🤣

D
Daniel Davies · September 6, 2026

T

Not in that three wheel van it isn't ha ha

k
kristian turner · September 6, 2026

tmnt the cartoon came out in 87 and the film in 1990

D
Daniel Davies · September 6, 2026

There’s actually been a slight alteration to the flat, but it’s only noticeable if you’re looking for it. Due to the fact that there were now four people staying in the flat, the original set was seen to be too small, so they lengthened the back wall a little bit. If you notice, it takes them a little bit longer to walk from one side of the set to the other now.
