I don't usually comment on these, but this one is really really good. It functions as just a great homage to TNG, and honestly is kinda a bummer that it's not available to watch on yt in that capacity. Like it's genuinely a great tribute, and I think all fans of TNG would really get a kick out of it. Extremely well done, either way. Thanks for making this.

I believe Friday is the reaction cast reveal. Insiders are saying it will include Josh and Alex but the Russian leakers have said Alex has already been cut from the final reaction due to private test screening reactions.
I like the movie and the ending is great my only issue is the bufoonish treatment of zefrem Cochrane. As much as I like James Cromwell this was a bad choice

Have to admit, I'd be surprised if they really liked it. Too many things working against it regarding their nitpicks and tastes. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm guessing they'll come in somewhere between ST VI and "just fine."
I agree I think there’s probably a tad too many liberties takes with the arcs of our familiar characters, but at the same time the execution on this movie is so superb I could see this being a scenario where they feel the execution overcomes those issues. Then again, my opinion on the quality is based on my 8 year old eyes that had never seen anything like this before so it seems eternally modern and innovative to me visually and I can’t objectively judge how it may have aged.
I mean, it's no 'The Bonding', of course...

Josh you’ll definitely appreciate this. 39 years ago was the first time I ever heard My Way as a kid when the WWF played the song in full for à departing for Hollywood Roddy Piper and just like your brilliant trailer it got me choked up then too. Whether it’s a clip of Picard’s tear at losing his humanity or Captain Lou Albano having a chair broken over his head the song is still magical. In my subjective opinion yessir. S tier across the board for writing, acting, Frakes' directing, and cinematography, overall production design, and Jerry Goldsmith's epic score.
Perfection.
But see, this just makes me want to go back and watch the entirety of TNG. I’ll see how far I can get before Sunday. (Great trailer.) 😎

The biggest issue with this movie - and I'm almost positive will piss off Josh and Alex to no end as well... is how that they completely wasted Marina and Gates in favor of a guest actor - Alfre Woodard. No disrespect to her - she's fine. But WTF. They could have given that dialogue to Gates or Marina. Stand by your fucking cast. Jesus Christ. I don't get it.
