The Sims 4 July 10 Update: Fixes, Gnomes & More Pregnancy Denial

A Sims 4 News Drop from Your Mod Folder’s Favorite Voice of Reason

💬 Hey Babes,

We just got a brand new patch — again — and while it came with some bugs (because of course it did), EA is finally starting to patch some of it up.

This July 10th update is small but mighty: it fixes some annoying glitches from the last round, doesn’t break any of my mods, and gave the gnomes a much-needed attitude adjustment.

Let’s run through what’s fixed, what’s still weird, and why pregnancy tests apparently still don’t exist.

First things first: My Mods? Still Thriving.

Everything I make is still working.
Plumbobs? Working.
Phone UI? Cute.
CC wrenches? Still clicking.

So if you’re using any of my mods, breathe easy — they survived this one.

Drag and Drop Drama? Fixed.

You can now drag spoiled food, dirty dishes, and even diapers straight into the sink or trash again. No more clicking around like it’s 2015 — EA finally remembered that cleanup shortcuts exist.

Whiteboard Resurrection Arc

The “Sharing is Caring” Whiteboard from Businesses & Hobbies is no longer ghosting your game. You can place it again without it vanishing like your motivation after 4 hours in CAS.

Gnome Gymnastics? Canceled.

Gnomes have finally stopped doing parkour every time you place them.
Now they just… exist ominously. Like they should.

Gallery Plants? Now with Memory.

When you place a Lot from the Gallery, your plants will now remember their names and growth info — instead of showing up like a bunch of leafy amnesiacs.

Custom Households: Texture Drama Solved

Switching to a household via Manage Households no longer deletes textures on your custom-painted Sims and pets.
So yes, your sparkly fairy dog is safe. As she should be.

Seasons: Seed Packet Fix

Seed packets that gnomes give you can now be put in your Sim’s inventory.
Groundbreaking, I know.

Console Players: Slightly Less Doomed

EA says they fixed “stability issues” on console. Translation: your game might not crash anymore, but don’t get too comfortable. We’ll keep watching.

Still No Pregnancy Test. Still Weird.

Let’s be clear — pregnancy tests are still broken. Your Sim can try for a baby, but the test option is still gone.
You’ll just have to wait and see like it’s a 2003 soap opera. Love that for us.

That’s the Patch Recap, Babe

Your mods are safe. Your gnomes are standing still. Your Sim’s fetus is still a mystery.
Same chaos, slightly cleaner UI.

I’ll be back when EA inevitably breaks something else next week. Stay tuned.
