WooHoo Results May Vary... But Not Anymore (patch update)
A Sims 4 News Drop
from your favorite modded, slightly chaotic, fully in-the-know bestie ♡
Hey babe, guess what? EA finally decided to mop up one of their biggest messes from the July 1st update. That’s right — pregnancies are BACK and functioning like they’re supposed to (because that’s apparently a feature we now have to worry about).
📣 Patch Notes – July 16, 2025
PC: 1.116.232.1030
Mac: 1.116.232.1230
Console: Version 2.16
Pregnancy Drama: Over.
Remember how your Sims were woohooing with zero consequences? Like they’d try for a baby, take a test… and crickets? Well, turns out EA broke pregnancy itself in the July 1st update thanks to some sneaky “performance optimizations.” (Okay, IT girl CPU moment, we guess.)
They’ve now fully reverted those changes, and everything should be back to the usual pixel baby magic.
That means:
Pregnancy tests are working again
Pregnancy progression isn’t frozen anymore
Baby bumps are back, and Sims can finally eat for two without the game gaslighting you
So yeah, we’re back in business — try for baby responsibly.
What About Mods?
If you use any pregnancy-related mods, the fix should restore their pre-patch functionality. BUT...
Don’t get cute yet — check in with your mod creators to be sure.
And of course, check the Scarlet Realm mod list for the latest compatibility info, because your girl is not about to have you break your game behind some toddler onesie override.
So that’s the tea. Pregnancy’s back. The Sims can finally have babies again. And you can go back to living your pixel-parenting dreams without yelling at the screen.
More Soon,
Ashley aka Simbeautyguru ♡
