Tomorrow’s update is lurking, and you know what that means: back up your game files like your life depends on it.
Mods folder? Make a copy and drag that to your desktop.
Tray files? Copy them somewhere safe.
Save files? Yes, those too.
Don’t get cute and “just see what happens.” It will break.
What’s most likely to combust first?
CAS-related mods are almost definitely in the danger zone — like custom CC wrenches (yes, mine).
Any UI or CAS mods might act up too.
Basically: if it touches Create-a-Sim, it’s on thin ice.
Do your future self a favor. Back it up, prep a snack, and watch the drama unfold from a safe, mod-free distance.

I removed all my mods, repaired the game, and backed up my game files. Hopefully I'll be able to breathe easy in the patch day chaos. All I need now are my snacks :)

If I disable mods and scripts will it protect them from the update or no?
Unfortunately not. When your game updates, it automatically disables them. If you disable them, you just won't be able to play with mods. It doesn't protect them or help them keep their integrity.
This came up when I was exiting my game. Perfect timing :)
