Patch Me Up & Make Me Pretty 🗞️💫
A Sims 4 News Update from the Forest Floor
Sometimes EA gives you a patch. Sometimes they give you wings. Today… they gave us both. And if you're here for The Sims 4 news, bug fixes, fairy-core CAS, and the roadmap that’s pretending it’s not teasing something major — welcome home.
Patch Notes – June 17 Update (PC: 1.115.253 / Console: 2.13)
We finally got a small-but-mighty patch that brought Xbox and PlayStation up to date with the May 27 rollout. And while it didn’t rewrite the laws of Sim physics, it did smooth out some real nonsense.
✦ Sims no longer distort into origami when they age up and travel too fast
✦ Portraits now properly reflect Sims’ career outfits (we love an accurate ID photo)
✦ Business employees will stop ghosting after you reload your lot
✦ Resolution goals and scout badges got their text back — so now your Sims can actually complete things like it's 2020 again
✦Rain no longer falls indoors.
Soon Allegedly.
EA says weather systems will get a touch-up, but we’ve heard that one before.
Roadmap Vibes: No Dates, Just Energy
And just when things were finally functioning... EA slid a brand-new roadmap into our lives. No dates. No labels. Just silhouettes and vague promises — and somehow that’s even more suspicious.
Whatever’s coming? It’s glowing, winged, and probably wearing handmade sandals.
Let’s Talk About That CAS Trailer [Click here to view]
EA said: “Let’s take your game from mid to mystical.” And honestly? They delivered.
Skin Tones, Eyes & Hair
We’re seeing a whole new skin customization system:
Shimmer overlays
Glow highlights
New unnatural eye colors with subtle effects
Hair range includes textured curls, soft waves, slicked buns, and fairy-approved braids
The Fits: Kids, Femme, Masc
They did not skip the children this time.
Infants, toddlers, and kids got tattoos, fantasy gear, and actual style (finally)
Feminine frame Sims are getting embroidered gowns, layered skirts, corset tops — it’s giving tea party at sunset
Masculine frame Sims got soft tunics, structured boots, and that one overgrown gardener aesthetic we’re always building for

The Fairy Moment
And then... it happened.
The trailer drops the transformation: glowy aura, spark trails, and that soft hover that says “I don’t walk, I glide.”
The big reveal? Wings are fully customizable — with a painter UI similar to horses and tattoos.
Translation: every fairy will look different, and we love that for them.
Last shot? A Sim mid-transformation, standing in a fairy garden, looking like they’re about to ascend.
New Traits, New Drama
Three new traits to test your patience and storytelling skills:
Mystical – big wisdom energy; definitely owns more than one cauldron
Plant Lover – gets sad when indoors too long; lives for sunlight and soil
Disruptive – you already know. This is the Sim that ruins brunch, on purpose
That’s All for Now (But Not for Long)
We’ve still got the Build/Buy and world trailers coming before launch — and you know I’ll be back to break those down like a bad save file.
Until then...
