Patch day just hit — and yes, all of my mods made it out alive. Fonts, plumbobs, loading screens, wrenches — still standing. Still pretty.

BUT!! If you’re using any of my mods and notice something acting up, let me know. But otherwise? We’re good to go.

Okay, here’s what’s actually inside this update — performance, polish, and... fairy bait?

Performance Fixes That Actually Performed

EA quietly snuck in some actual performance updates this round — and no, I’m not being sarcastic (yet). Here's what they claim is fixed:

✦ Improved lot loading times (up to 10% faster)
✦ Laptop Mode gained up to 22 FPS — okay graphics queen
✦ General memory + processing optimization (aka, your game might breathe easier)
✦ Threaded rendering improvements for smoother gameplay

It’s giving “slightly more stable.”

What’s New in The Sims 4

✦ A toggleable on-screen guide via Emily’s Guidance is now available for new players (hi again, Emily)

✦ The Goals UI got a little polish to streamline holidays, events, and quests

Basically: less confusion, more flow.

Oh, and Base Game Fixes?

But let’s be real — the real headline today isn’t what they fixed. It’s what they’re hinting at.

She Was a Fairy, Yah Yah

The new Nature’s Calling event hits June 24, and while EA didn’t say “fairies,” they also didn’t not say it.

Between the patch setup, the name, and the soft, woodsy aesthetic — I’m feeling Enchanted By Nature creeping up behind us with sparkles and a suspiciously glowy aura.

I'm not calling it, but we’re absolutely calling it. I’ll be watching.

So What’s Next? (According to the Roadmap)

EA’s summer roadmap is out, and here are the dates I’m actually watching:

May 30 – Livestream:
If they leak something fairy-coded, it’s happening here. Maxis staff have never been good at holding secrets on camera.

June 5 – Roadmap Reveal:
Expect one moody teaser trailer, half a sentence of real info, and a lot of “big things coming.”

July 22 – Get Out of Town Event: ✈️
This one’s vague, but it's giving travel, maybe a new world, maybe camping in the forest with sparkling wings energy.

Ashley’s Prediction™: We’ll get a trailer, five new CAS hairs, and a mysterious mushroom that nobody mentions until it breaks someone’s save file.
