First of many. Let’s talk patch notes, rumors, and fairies.

So, this is officially our first Sims 4 news drop here on Patreon. Cute, right? Let’s get into it.

The Laundry List for May 20th just dropped. If you’re new to this, it’s EA’s bug fix to-do list — basically a sneak peek at what might actually work again in the next patch.

Here are a few of the messiest things they're trying to clean up:

  • Save files breaking like they paid rent and said “I’m out.” Some saves won’t load, open into blank worlds, or just spiral into chaos. EA says they’ve found over eight related bugs and want your help spotting more. If that sounds like your game, you can report it here. It’s giving “group project, but you’re the IT department.”

  • Gallery downloads randomly fail with vague errors, like the Sims version of a shrug.

  • Sims aging up without warning — because apparently, birthdays are now jump scares.

  • Weather happening inside — love a thunderstorm, just not one in the kitchen. They’re working on it, allegedly.

  • Calendar events straight up disappearing like they owe you money. So if your Sim forgot their wedding, it’s not personal.

  • And yes, textured glass swatches are missing from the “Wave Goodbye Privacy Screen.” We too, would like to wave goodbye to this bug.

The update is expected to drop in six days — so prep your Mods folder, back up your saves, and maybe don’t build anything new just yet.

Which brings us to the tea: the rumored expansion pack.

The Sims 4: Enchanted By Nature.

According to a leak via Instant Gaming (and yes, they’re usually right), this new pack is set to release on July 10, 2025. The theme? Allegedly fairies, nature magic, and what I can only describe as cottagecore with wings. No word yet on if babies will grow wings or if we’re just getting sparkly idle animations — but either way, I’m watching.

So that’s where we’re at: bug fixes now, fairy wings later. Stay tuned — I’ll be keeping you posted on what’s real, what’s rumored, and what’s just another Sims glitch pretending to be a feature.
