Fooling Around

A ritual is just hopes and dreams put into words while being surrounded by symbols that have no meaning or power.

For centuries, humans have followed ritualistic practices to achieve something they were incapable of doing on their own. They put their faith in God, in spirits, or any other magic that could help them.

I always thought it was ridiculous.

I thought we were just pretending, fooling around, having fun.

But it worked.

"You have summoned me. What is your wish?"
