This might be the first year that I've been able to actually decorate for Halloween. Usually, I get so wrapped up in the cozy autumn vibes that Halloween gets here and I'm like, Oh crap! I missed it again!

But this year, since I'm developing my (first-ever) forever save, I found a house for the O'Neil's (single dad, Ryan O'Neil, and his twin kiddos) with a front porch that was just screaming to be decorated and couldn't miss the chance to bring this spooky season to life in my own way.

And, since I recently restarted my CC folder, I thought it would be fun to share my own personal curation of Halloween custom content finds that I couldn't wait to add to my game.

Creator Notes 💭

I really want the O'Neil's home to capture their lifestyle, so for this project I pictured using a bit of funny, tacky/kitsch 😂 with handmade decorations that they either made together on the living room floor, were gifted by friends or family, or that the kids picked out at a store like Spirit Halloween (Ryan can never say no to them).

I also know that since Ryan is a busy guy–and, being divorced, he can be pretty glum during the holidays–the house only ever gets decorated because of his younger cousin, Maddie, who rounds everyone up to make the house feel like a home each season. She would be the reason there's a giant scary archway and tombstones in the yard. 😂 Oh, and that doormat above–that's her handiwork. Bet you can't look at it without hearing the song in your head! 🤭
