Bringing Dragons to The Sims 4 + New Sneak Peeks 👀

If you've been following me on Tumblr, you might have seen this teaser a while back. I got the ADHD itch to build a medieval fantasy save back in ~May, and have in the time since made it my singular mission to complete that world with creatures–namely, dragons.

Or, yes, more accurately, "wyverns," but let's not get caught up in the nomenclature. 🤭 Point is, no fantasy save is complete without some scaled, winged, fire-breathing beasts.

And, no fire-breathing beast is complete without knights ready to defeat them ⚔️, or dragon riders ready to rain hell from the skies 🔥. So, I couldn't just stop at the dragon–I got in touch with one of my favorite fantasy pose creators, Herecirm, to help us bring those characters and their stories to life. 🥹

Since the dragon isn't animated (yet...?), Herecirm's poses have helped me breathe life into this otherwise static creature in about 20 different ways, and I can't wait to see what you do with them–will you create a famous dragon slayer or feared warrior on dragon back? Scare the wings off your fairies in Innisgreen? Use sinister magic to bind your sorcerer to a dragon of their own? Add some variety to your ASOIAF/HOTD save file? Build your own dragon war college?

✨ The possibilities are endless! ✨

Now, full disclaimer, I didn't model the dragon (I bought the rights to her)–I am an adept modeler, but I know what I'm about and animals are simply not in my wheelhouse–but, I did create all new poses for her, along with 6+ unique colors you won't find anywhere else. And, with the addition of dragon rider poses, I'm currently creating some leather straps for securing the rider to her back (concept shown below! 👇)

I suspect there might be a few questions, such as:

• How many files will there be? We'll start off with a handful of poses for this one dragon, each in its own separate file (some will have a 'saddled' variation as well), but I do plan to add more over time with your help (through member polls) and with the development of my own save file.

• Can you make changes to the dragon's design? Variations made to the dragon outside of additional colors and poses aren't out of the question. It really depends on how well these do in the wild, as this one dragon was a pretty large commitment (no pun intended). However, the original creator has made a few different dragons that I may expand to at a later time.

• Can I make my own dragon colors? Creating your own unique colors for the dragon is a great way to add variety and personalize the dragon to your story, so I will definitely be uploading a ready-made PSD file for you to easily customize to your heart's content. (Note: It will require a little photoshop knowledge, though!)

• When will the dragon be released? No later than mid-August (2025).
