v.0.32 Progress report (VII)
TL;DR: I added 6,500 words and 167 renders this week. The update is now 38,818 words long (before translating the last 10 scenes), with 3,050 dialogue lines (first time over 3,000), and will be around 2,208 still renders (first time over 2,100). I plan to release the update in 7-10 days (depending on the proofreading process).
It's been a tough week in terms of development. I planned to have the update almost finished, but once scenes #16, #18, and #20 were rendered and tested, I hit a writer's block. Scenes #13, #14, and #15 are duplicates, depending on whether you're on the paths of the involved women.
I was able to write the no-path sub-scenes (they are short-ish, and they aren’t My Residence scenes this time. At least not all of them).
Then a hospital day came on Wednesday, and I was unable to write when we returned (we were happy that they put a glucose monitor on my wife, starting her conversion into a cyborg 🤣. No more pricks on her fingers). And I couldn’t write the day after it either. Everything I wrote was crap. I tried it with the three scenes. Nothing.
So, I started to do work I usually do while I wait for the proofreading to be done (like looking for music). Getting my mind out of the scenes worked wonderfully, and I was able to return to writing on Friday. The floodgates were open. In the last three days, I finished writing the three scenes (and, with them, the update).
Now, I only need to render the non-animated part for them. 370 renders are waiting to be done (I can add some more while rendering the scenes or remove some of the tagged ones). I hope to finish rendering mid-week. Then translate the last 10 scenes and send the update to proofread on Thursday or Friday. Depending on the speed of the proofreaders doing their magic, I hope for a late weekend or early following week release. It will be the first time in Season 4 that an update is released before the two-month mark!
That’s all. Back to… Nope. I won’t return to work today. I’m sleepy.

Thank you for the update!!
If you are suddenly finding your work cathartic,we stand as happy beneficiaries.
🫡💯👌
Ok...the Star Trek geek in me is trying to come up with a "Resistance is Futile" joke referring to the cyborg joke but I can't piece one together.
Thanks for the update, It's okay to take your time. I'm sure most would agree we'd rather you be healthy both mentally and physically vs ragged trying to push out an update. That's good news about the wife, hopefully things continue to get better.
Espero que duermas bien, seguro que lo necesitas entre lo que curras y las vicisitudes de la vida. Fuerza y animos
