v.0.32 Progress report (IV)

TL;DR: It’s day 28 of development, and the update is already 22,300 words long (estimated after translation), has 1,051 stills rendered (and over 200 more already tagged), and 20 animations with 7,468 frames. 9 scenes are finished (except for translation).

It’s been a hectic week. And I haven’t been able to meet the maximum goal I set for myself, but, changing the scenes I worked on, I did what was scheduled.

The plan was to write, render, and test scene #2 and write scenes #8-#10. Instead of that, I wrote, rendered, and tested scenes #8-#10 and only managed to write around 75% of scene #2 (that’s why it’s in grey).

With every new lewd scene, it’s harder to be “original,” and for them to feel unique, so I got stuck with scene #2 and decided to move to #8-#10, which flowed nicely. When I returned to #2 with a fresh mind yesterday, I was able to make good progress with the writing.

The problem I’m seeing with this update is that almost every scene is bigger than anticipated. So, maybe, I will move some of the last scenes to the next update. Don’t worry, it won’t be a small update. As you can see, it already has over 22,000 words and over 1,050 stills (with over 200 stills already tagged in the written part of scene #2). I’m sure that, even if I move some scenes to 0.33, it will be over 30,000 words.

What’s the plan for next week? First and foremost, finish scene #2, translate scenes #1- #10, and send them for proofreading. I guess I can finish writing scene #2 tomorrow (if inspiration doesn’t avoid me), spend a couple of days rendering the stills, and another couple of days translating. If I’m fast, I could even write some scenes in the #11-#14 range (one of them is a lewd scene, so I will leave that one for the following week).
