v.0.31 Progress Report (II) and other news

About the update

It’s been animation week for me. I posed 22 animations (4,756 frames) for the first scene. They are rendering now, and it will take some days until it finishes. I think it could even get more animations, but I won’t know until I do all the rendering and writing for that scene. There are a couple of extra scenes that will need animations, so I think I will be busy with animations next week, too.

I’ve also written two extra scenes about the first day of the MC in Aruba. They will be in the last part of the update and set the tone for his management of the company. Also, half of another scene about the trip.

So, summarizing, the update has 4 and a half scenes written, now. It has a lot of animations for the first scene, and planned animations for two scenes.

About pausing billing

Some of you have reminded me of my promise to give you a way to pay during the pause in payments.

The only way Patreon allows me to charge you is through the shop. I published some posts (with tier equivalency in price), so you can purchase the post if you want.

It won’t report any benefits to you, nor will it count towards your next payment once the billing is restarted.

The list of posts (sorry, there isn’t a Scarlett’s Tier equivalent, since the shop’s minimum price is 3€):

Erika’s Tier Equivalent: https://www.patreon.com/posts/support-post-160460460

Daphne’s Tier Equivalent: https://www.patreon.com/posts/support-post-160460811

Emma’s Tier Equivalent: https://www.patreon.com/posts/support-post-160460880

Martha’s Tier Equivalent: https://www.patreon.com/posts/support-post-160460962

My most sincere thanks to those of you who buy those posts. DON’T do it if you are in a tough place, please.

About my wife’s situation

We had a lot of visits to the hospital in the last week. The doctors confirmed that the thing in the kidney is cancer, and that the things in the lungs are metastasis from the kidney cancer. It’s been an early diagnosis, so the perspective is “good”. Not to cure the cancer, since it has already metastasized, but to control it and prevent it from growing. She started immunotherapy (less aggressive than chemo, and with better results for her kind of cancer) on Friday, complemented with something that will prevent the creation of new blood vessels in the kidney, so the tumor “starves” (yes, I know it doesn’t sound “too medical”, but it was how the oncologist explained it to us). The kidney cancer has also produced a clog in her inferior vena cava and has started anticoagulant therapy. It was expected with her kind of kidney cancer.

The downside of those treatments is that, for now, they won’t do the surgery to remove the breast cancer. The different doctors (kidney, COPD, breast, and pulmonary hypertension) have a meeting on Tuesday to decide whether to start treating her with hormone blockers (her kind of breast cancer “feeds” on feminine hormones, so it’s a way to gain a bit of time, but the breast doctor didn’t know if it could interact with her other medications.

That’s all for now!

I will keep you informed.

I know it seems almost too much but everyone sends prayers. You both will be stronger for it. I know what you are going through as my wife of 31 years had gone through over 25 medical procedures. She never gave up. Keep strong.
