Building a Graph

I decided to create an upgrade of the old Graphs tutorial. It fits nicely after Game Objects and Scripts. I split it in two parts. This is the first one, introducing enough to visualize a single animating graph. The next part will cover multiple functions and higher dimensions.

The new version doesn't use a particle system. Cubes are used for points instead. Instantiating objects is more fundamental and generally useful. Also, Unity's particle system has become so complex that it deserves its own tutorial at some point.

Hey, I have just become a patron of your work. Absolutely amazed by the first tutorial. I found some typos on the second one: "Does this guaranteed..." -> "Does this guarantee" "No, all it does it..." -> "No, all it does is"

Thanks and thank you! I fixed the typos.

Thank you so much for going back to simple concepts. I really want to be able to make my way up to your hex grid series and more of these beginner to intermediate tutorials would be amazing. One question: (As a beginner) it's not immediately obvious how I would practically apply what I'm learning here. Would you mind explaining with a few examples please? Thanks, Jasper. (Sorry, I know this sounds dumb, but I'm not a programmer so it takes it bit more to get it through my thick skull.)

Once you can use geometry to show a graph, you can apply the same approach to any collection of geometry that has to be positioned procedurally, like moving platforms, or elevators, or morphing terrain, or music visualization, etc.
