Passionate Gift: Passionate Affection Update

Hey everybody, I hope you are all doing well,

First of all, thank you so much for all the love on the last Update. This one is both a continuation of that system and the introduction of a new feature that could also count as its own mod.

So after working on the passionate gift mod and the new Reveal Gift interactions for a while, I kept feeling like something was missing. The passionate reveal gift interactions were good, but once the gift interaction ended, it was over. I wanted my Sims to actually show affection after receiving the gift, not just react to it.

That is where Passionate Affection comes in.

Passionate Affection Mod:

This mod introduces brand new interactions that will be added to your Sims Romance pie menu under a new category called Passionate Affections.

It adds 15 new romantic interactions that allow your Sim to show their affection after completing a Reveal Gift interaction.

So now, with these new interactions, instead of the moment ending right after the gift reveal, your Sim will be able to continue showing their affection even after completing the gift interaction.

The animations are inspired by the same ones used during the Reveal interactions, but they have been adjusted to feel more like proper romantic kisses and embrace interactions, making them flow naturally as affectionate follow ups rather than surprise reactions.

And it will let you replay your favorite Reveal animation, but as a romantic interaction

I originally considered keeping this as part of the main Passionate Gift update. However, after expanding the system, I decided to officially split Passionate Affection into its own separate mod.

That being said, it still depends on the Passionate Gift mod to function, since the entire system is built around the Reveal interactions and gift categories. So while it is now its own mod, it cannot work without Passionate Gift installed.

The Passionate Affections won’t be available from the start, it will only appear after you use a Reveal interaction, for example, Reveal as an Elegant Gift, your Sim will unlock new elegant romantic interactions under the Passionate Affections pie menu.

The interactions are categorized under each Gifts Reveal types, So that each gift category will unlocks its matching affection style.

The affection interactions will only last for one day after completing a Reveal Gift interaction. After that, they will disappear until you use another Reveal Gift interaction.

However, if your Sims have a sentiment from a certain gift category, The affection interactions from that category will stay available for as long as the sentiment is active.

This also includes a few additional interactions that match the same emotional tone:

In addition to that, having the sentiment will allow your Sims to autonomously perform those unlocked affection interactions.

And since the affection interactions are directly tied to the Gift Reveal style, it will gives more depth and replay value to each category.

Affection Interactions Outcomes:

• The Affection interactions are romantic interactions that work like any other in-game interaction. They increase your Sims’ relationship level as well as their relationship satisfaction.

• Passionate Affection interactions can also increase Turn On and Attraction levels, but only slightly.
  

New Reveal Interactions:

I have added 12 new animations to the original Placed Object Gifts Update. They are focused on the Elegant, Intimate, and Wholesome categories for now.

They work similarly to the older animations, now you may notice more variations playing depending on which Reveal interaction you used.

Since the affection interactions are directly tied to the reveal style, it gives more depth and replay value to each category.

Debug System: Choosing Your Reveal Animations:

While expanding the mod and making new animations, I realized something important.

The more animations I add, the harder it becomes for you to actually see and experience the new ones. Since the Reveal interactions are partly randomized based on tiers and value, sometimes you might not get the animation you specifically want.

So I added a small extra feature to help with that.

This is more of a utility system than a main feature, so I decided to keep it under debug. To access it, you need to enable testing cheats by typing testingcheats true, then hold Shift and click on your Sim.

Under the Passionate Romance category, you will find a new Passionate Gift Debug menu. Inside, you will see two new options: Expensive Reveal Interactions and Basic Reveal Interactions.

Inside each category, you will find all Reveal interactions clearly separated, allowing you to directly select the exact animation you want.

This system does not bypass any progression requirements. It simply removes the randomness and allows you to manually choose the specific reveal animation instead of relying on chance.

Some animations in the mod have both Basic and Expensive variants, while others are exclusive to a specific tier. Some were designed specifically for cheaper, more casual gifts, while others were created only for expensive, more exaggerated surprises.

You will notice this in the selection menu. If an interaction is missing from a certain category, it simply means that animation was designed only for the other tier.

The mod still works the same way if you use it normally. If you do not use the selection system, it will automatically choose the appropriate animation based on the price of the gift.

The selection menu does not change how the mod functions overall. It simply gives you more control over which animation plays.

With this new picker, the mod will no longer automatically check the price of the gift. Instead, you decide it yourself by choosing which Reveal interaction you want to play, either Expensive or Basic.

Reveal outcomes are now based on the interaction you select, not the individual gift’s price. For example, choosing an Expensive Reveal interaction will trigger the expensive tier outcome, even if the actual gift used is lower in value.

Each interaction comes with its own custom-made icon, designed to show a key pose from the animation so you can easily recognize it.

I have also added a short description under each interaction to make it easier for you to know exactly which animation you are choosing before playing it.

As the mod continues to expand and more animations are added, this system will become even more useful for players who want greater control and consistency in their storytelling and animation flow.

Important:

You must still have the correct Gift Set in your inventory.

• The required object must still be placed.

• All romance requirements must still be met, including the first kiss and the relationship level.

Upcoming Mods:

Now for something a little different. My new Twister Game mod that will be coming soon.

At first, I was planning to release it for Valentine’s Day. But after the game’s latest updates, a few mechanics stopped working the way they used to. So instead of rushing it, I decided to switch plans. and release the Passionate Affection first.

The Twister mod is no longer just a small romantic activity. I decided to expand it into a bigger social mod that can be played between couples and friends, with multiple game modes to choose from. I am also planning to include some unique scenarios that could lead to drama, awkward tension, or even spark new relationships.

I have been wanting to create a fun social activity for a while, but animation wise, I always find myself stuck with sports type concepts. It is surprisingly hard to make sports feel socially dynamic. Twister, on the other hand, gives me the freedom to create messy, chaotic, close-contact animations that feel fresh and different from my other mods.

i want from this mod to focus more on social dynamics. I want it to feel unpredictable, like how a real Twister game can go. i want the mod to create funny moments, or even spicy situations depending on who is playing.
