yachiru eyes being the sword was so sick

Also with Gremmy, he was for sure the strongest one before Yhwach picked his chosen group to come with him. We never even saw Gremmy fully release his schrift. It is hard to imagine just how strong he could have been if Yhwach would have brought him along. It was said that Gremmy used to be kind of locked up. Some people speculated Gremmy was even a small threat to Yhwach himself. And if anyone is even the slightest threat to him, they are a major deal in the show lol.

I just love Bleach so much! They do such an amazing job with giving so much love to so many different characters, both good and villains. Everyone enjoys a lot of them, but so many people have different favorite characters.

The way I always took Yachiru is that the sword was well aware of Zaraki's demeanor and Yachiru's goal was to always see Kenny happy and enjoying battle. She was never needed before TYBW, but soon after him fully claiming the Kenpachi title and her being a "hostage" with Gremmy, I think she realized it was time for her to fully be his sword since he was in need of the power. The zanpakuto need to recognize their master to give them their power, and I always took it as she always recognized his strength, but respected his wish to fight alone.

Fun little detail - when yachiru tells Kenny about the bankai, in the close-up shot of her face, you can see Nozarashi (the blade) reflecting in her eye. I didn't spot it the first time I've watched the episode.

Usually, when a character is about to use their Bankai, we hear them say "Bankai" in a super cool way, with a deep, serious voice... But it is so funny that when the most badass character in the show finally has his Bankai revealed, we hear "Ban-kai, dayo" in a cute voice from a little girl, which makes it even cooler hahahahaha.

Guys I think this is a good time to revisit Kenpachi's fight with Ichigo the first time. Listen/read what Ichigo says the moment he saw Yachiru on Kenny's back. He said " who the hell are you or what the hell are you?" Clearly Ichigo instinctively sensed something different about the girl. Also, in the bleach verse, names contains the power of everything. Remember yhwach fight ichibei, where they were fighting using the concept of name erasure, renaming etc. The theory is, the moment Kenny gave her the name first time, he gave her the power to exist as a shinigami. Also, when zanpakto materializes, it can be seen by others just like how Renji materialised zabimura when he was with Ichigo training bankai in that underground cave of Yoruichi. One more thing. During the episode of Yachiru's sword reveal, Isane, notes that she doesn't feel the same presence of a zanpakutou on Yachiru's release. As if, Yachiru's sword release is not a normal shinigami sword release. Well of course, she isn't a Shinigami. And zanpakuto can be materialised for a long time. Remember the sword god's place with all those materialised zanpakutuo girls?

yachiru being the zanpakuto was foreshadowed very early as when ichigo first met her he said “Who are you… or maybe I should ask, what are you?” and when kenpachi first meets her he asks her name and touches his sword answering his question to that

Yess Gerard is definitely one of the strongest villain ever. Its debatable if he is the strongest Quincy. People debate the other being lile barro(the sniper quicy who fought shunsei) remember he only got defeated because his lieutenant had the power to seal a god away otherwise he would still be around rn. The other being haschwalth(the grandmaster) those 3 are always in the conversation of strongest Quincy

I knew Michelle was going to lose it over Hitsugaya, LOL. Ron with Zaraki was a sure thing. XD

OST rundown: Love that we get “Treachery” slowed down at start of the episode 👌🏽 The music when Gerard revived after Kenpachi cut him down was crazy 23:50 This ost was so good it’s like an upbeat Egyptian type vibe Then we have “Number one” to finish off the episode…🔥 Bleach truly has the greatest osts 😭🔥🎶🎼

If you get a chance go back to your Reaction to TYBW EP 20 @21:20 (The flashback with kenpachi). Kenpachi asks yachiru where she came from and she immediately reaches to touch the zanpakuto. He asks her if she had a name and when she wasn't able to answer he declared she didnt have a name and that he would name her himself. Its almost similar to the way that Yumichika cals his zanpakuto the wrong name and because of that he's not able to use its actual powers. Or how Renji had the incorrect name for his bankai when he first learned it. There's a huge emphasis on the names having power(Especially when we see characters like Osho).

Kenpachi was on demon time literally. Not only did we get his bankai which was f*cking insane, but then we got Hitsugaya aura farming. Gojo got some competition 😭 Hitsugaya was already my favorite anyways so this just made him even better. Ron - Kenpachi named Yachiru “Unohana” after captain Unohana correct. He named her after the person he respects/admire the most which is Unohana. You said “I thought it was because just out of respect” It is respect Ron, you thought right. Unless you were meaning something else

Kubo did reveal Gerard Valkyrie's weakness but I wonder if kubo is going implemented in TYBW but I do think the strongest of the two is still Lille Barro since Lille is intangible and his ability actually kind of counter Gerard (if you know what Gerard true weakness is)

Remember that Isane (4th Division vice-captain) said that Yachiru's "shikai" was weird; it didn't change shape, which doesn't happen, and then all the other hints And here we also learn that Byakuya could've literally turned Ichigo into paste the first time they fought. When Byakuya used Senkei, he told Ichigo not to worry; the swords wouldn't attack him all at once. Had he used that ultimate attack, Ichigo would've been reduced to nothing. And as far as ice is concerned, this is what puts Hitsugaya above Rukia: he can output the type of damage she can, but with complete, targeted control- no big ice nuke AND he can literally freeze concepts.

I saw a really sick theory on Twitter for kenpachi. His face has a tattoo symbol and when you separate it it is very clearly a butterfly. Symbolizing the hell butterfly even. I wonder if kenpachis strength partially comes from hell itself. Would be so sick if it turns out that way This episode was so sick. So many things happened Kenpachi bankai was so good. Ichigos Gran Ray cero getsuga looked so sick too. I hope we get it again in the opening of next week's episode

A bit of info for Yachiru & Zaraki to get the brain gears working: Think of the being that was Starrk and how his hollow existence was too powerful that he split himself into 2, because of loneliness. In a similar fashion here, Zaraki who was too strong for himself and everyone around him, nerfed himself unconsciously and in the process his sword went thru a similar thing. The very first time Ichigo encounters Zaraki and Yachiru, she jumps on Ichigo's shoulder where he asks her "WHAT she is, instead of WHO she is". There have always been hints that her existence is an unusual one, but of course it was never clear what exactly is the secret ... till now! There is some other things we veteran fans know, so I think this is enough info for you two + some things can be explained if you went back and rewatched their moments together. Or just the show entirely. Example: the location of the forest we saw here.

Def my favorite episode of the season by far. I still think Kisuke Bankai was my favorite Bankai reveal of the season. That or Toshiro. So much happened: Toshiro Adult Bankai, Kenpachi bankai, Byakuya new ultimate move from training with Squad Zero (?), Ichigo's Gran Rey Cero sword slash. It looks like we getting a big Orihime + Ichigo team up against Yhwach, def a big upscale for Orihime if she can keep up. Kenpachi stuff was super cool. But I am slightly disappointed, his bankai lasted 3 minutes and he kinda lost with it. All he accomplish was make him stronger. This bankai was built up for a long time to kinda lose, I can see the potential if he can master it. I wish he used it against a weaker Sternritter to give the Bankai a win. Despite that, I was hella hype watching it. But post-Bankai, I realize he is no longer in Bankai state anymore and cant use it because of his body. But he can train it, maybe he can up how long he can stay in it? I think I rate Kisuke's Bankai reveal above it just cause he might have not kill Askin, but his bankai gave the win to the Soul Reaper side. Toshiro scene stole the show for me, his bankai was nowhere near built up as Kenpachi's and I feel like it had around sane impact and he looks hella sick. If it was built as much as Kenpachi's, I would be disappointed to see it just for Gerald to revive again. But ATP I don't think any normal soul reaper can beat him. We need a OP Hax power like Ichibe's naming or Yamamoto's intense heat that vaporize someone.

Back in Soul Society arc when Ichigo first meet Yachiru. He asks "what are you " instead of who . I like to think Kenpachi is like Coyote Stark Espada 1 . Unlike other espadas Stark Spirit Energy was so strong he sealed his power into another body instead of a sword.

She (Yachiru) is his Zanpaktou spirit. It's similar to Coyote Starkk and Lilynette. Kenpachi is so powerful that his sword took its own manifested sentient being apart from himself . She has been gone since he learned Zanjutsu and his Shikai. It's also why Yachiru touches his sword in the flashbacks

Zaraki is so powerful that his Zanpakuto has a Zanpakuto

Honestly as far as power scaling u gotta watch more anime with higher ceilings lol but Gerard is tough ..but bleach has fairly strong characters plus their abilities play a big part .. you’re watching dragon ball now so eventually I think that will be your baseline for powerscaling up or down .. then it becomes easier to discern who the real threats are in anime and who the real OP heros are

Yachiru is in fact Kenpachi’s zanpakuto spirit. Back in episode 20 of TYBW there was a flashback when Kenpachi released his Shikai for the first time. In that flashback Kenpachi ask where Yachiru was from and she crawled up and touched the blade. Because this was Kenpachi’s first time using Bankai his body wasn’t fully prepped to handle its power so he has room to improve but if he struck that Quincy star cross he would have killed Gerard. Toshiro’s true power is actually pretty crazy too. He has the ability to not just use ice but to freeze concepts. It’s kind of the ultimate form of sealing.

Little did we know it was going to be a episode where michelle and ron cream together lol. I wanna say zaraki is like the number one espada stark where in his loneliness he split in 2 so he wouldn't be alone and in zarakis case his zanpakto manifested itself into yachiru to keep him company and watch over him until he could hear her true voice as his sword. Remember back in the flash back when he was sitting in the forest alone in rukongai she just popped out of nowhere from the bushes and the first thing she did was touch his sword.

Yachiru is Unohana's first name. My guess is that Kenpachi is so op that his zanpakuto spirit was always manifested. The manifested zanpakuto can be seen by others like when Ichigo saw Renjis when Ichigo was training for Bankai. Im guessing do to Zaraki's massive spiritual pressure Yachiru as a manifestation was much more extreme. With that being said the name Yachiru that Zaraki gave her isn't her actual name so learning her name Nozarashi returned her to his sword. That's just my guess.

[Tidbits & Thoughts] - Here we finally see why Yachiru vanished after Kenpachi awakened an used his powers, it’s because she is his Zanpaktou Spirit made Manifest. There are constant signs of this throughout the story, most notably that when Kenpachi first meets Yachiru as a baby and he ask her “where did you come from” she touches his sword. (Again if you go back throughout the story it makes even more sense, how whenever Kenpachi fights she’s completely engrossed by the battle) - We saw in the Soul Society arc that Shinigami have to physically manifest their Zanpaktou to attain Bankai (We saw Renji do it) In Kenpachi’s case it was different in that he was mentally blocking himself from power he already had. In Kluboutside Q&A 151 we learn that Yachiru is a portion/form of Nozarashi's Bankai that separated from the main body and took on a life of her own because she was given a name (and names have/give power in bleach). The actual spirit and embodiment of Nozarashi is a grown adult woman. (whose voice I believe we heard in last week's poem) - As mentioned previously Kubo calls Ichigo’s new form “Half-Hollow” so presumably this isn’t it’s full potential, which is sensible given that Ichigo only just unlocked his true potential. Additionally if you recall Ichigo’s Final Getsuga training in his inner world, this is what his true power was supposed to look like all along, as that horn formation is exactly how Tensa Zangetsu’s looked. - In Kluboutside Q&A 226 We learn that Toshiro needed to Master his Bankai before using this Adult like form, otherwise he’d have undergone an imperfect growth and damaged himself in the process, so he couldn’t have used it before now. [This shows Toshiro’s potential because it’s extremely OP that he can freeze the function of matter, he literally froze the concept of hope belated to Gerard’s sword, freezing concepts is a crazy upscale.] - Gerards Volstanding name is Aschetonig meaning Power of God [Also note where it was that Gerard regenerated from]
