It’s so funny how you guys think he’s a werewolf
Trevor freakin Belmont the 🐐 just a legendary monster hunter btw
You guys would love lord of mysteries
I would definitely consider this anime idc where it’s made you know an anime when you see one
It's not anime lol, anime comes from japan.
BINGE IT
Need that bleach reaction asap
I wish you guys will do two episodes😭😭
RON... you owe me a window and a mirror...
Yes, it's a cartoon. In Japan, it's anime because that refers to all animation; outside of Japan, it's only things made by Japanese animation studios...and I'd also add that they were led by Japanese animation teams. I only say this because in the ' 80s and 90s, things were outsourced to Japanese animation studios, but they were entirely run by American animation studios and producers. Things like Transformers and Thundercats.
"catacombs are always fun in videogames" I see you've played some skyrim, but have you played elden ring?
I can vouch for Ron, I was there both at the soviet union and North Korea for the choir. The performance was great
Me and Ron still team Dracula 😂
My guess is that the "church" members are part of something else and they aren't doing for the church, which is obvious because that bishop said he's doing it for his ambition, but in this time period priests are banned from baring arms like this. Ironically, they preach about the Belmonts being excommunicated but would SURELY be excommunicated themselves if the Pope found out about how they act there and the plans of the bishop I would like to thank anyone that takes time to read this small essay. Ron first episode said he didn't know much of religion, Michelle said the Cross wouldn't do anything (evidentially that is true for this series) so I thought I'd give my two catholic cents here - This takes place at the absolute height of the post-medieval Church's power, and in this point in history the church's corruption was rampant. (INB4 it still is, not looking to debate this, I'm just trying to add some context). This was about 50ish years before the protestant reformation which I stand by being a bad thing in general, but the GOOD thing to come out of it was reforms within Vatican to crack down on and get rid of A) familial corruptions (bishops etc either having children when they were sworn not too and raising family up to power in non-religious areas, or straight up raising them into religious power locations and eventually working to get them in Vatican or to become pope (Medici's are an example of this, but they were just a family that used society's structures to gain power. had the nation been Muslim these people would have still used the faith to gain power, arguably more-so) and B), to get rid of monetary way's people abused to the church. (selling indulgences as the only act needed to have your sin forgiven when the payment was only ever a monetary donation people were supposed to give if they WANTED to, so there money could help their community or pay back the community for something they did. indulgences were a good thing that were made bad through abuses of power and evil people) Anyway my actual POINT here is that Europe and in this case EASTERN Europe (which was a battle ground of both Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox rivalries, but also recently the fall of Constantinople to the Muslim invaders of Europe by the Ottomans when they stole Greek Constantinople from the Christian world. THE MOST INTERESTING PART OF THIS POINT is that HISTORICALLY Vlad The Impaler (Literally Dracula in this show, the first episode they SAY Dracula was the Impaler but that he hasn't impaled anyone in a while) was the one that stopped the Muslim invasion into Europe after they took Byzantium (now Turkey) by using -extreme, brutal, and evil- measures to keep the Turks out of Europe, which included impaling an entire town of Christian peasants on pikes, alive, so that when the Turks rolled up on the town (literally Târgoviște from this show, in 1462, which may be what Dracula refered to in the first show as the last time he impaled people, since the start of the show is in Târgoviște and they show the impaled bodies), the Muslims literally thought they had travelled to hell when they saw the landscape Vlad left for them, causing them to turn around and really never try to invade Europe again. At least not with an army. -------------------Upon seeing the horrific "Forest of the Impaled" outside Târgoviște in 1462, Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II was reportedly struck with awe at his enemy's psychological mastery. According to the contemporary Greek historian Laonikos Chalkokondyles, the Sultan stated that "it was not possible to deprive of his country a man who had done such great deeds" and that a leader with such a "diabolical understanding" of governance and power was "worth much"------------------ Anyway stupid people are part of every society and group, and this frankly isn't a realistic view of Catholic clergy, it's the Japanese view of it in a very specific light (the game was Japanese, athough the show is American) and the Japanese historically committed massive atrocities (go figure, it's Japan. it's kinda their thing against anyone that isn't them) against Catholics within their nation (their own Japanese kinsman who converted, who were boiled alive in pots or crucified in the ocean so the tide would drown them while on the cross. This isn't even mentioning the atrocities of what they did to literally every single other group that lived around them, who were unrelated to Europe or Christianity). America is also a hot bed of stereotypical views of the catholic church that never show the good sides, and only ever show when clergy was abusive All i'm saying is if this happened in real life, and Catholic clergy thought a firey head in the sky threatening to kill everyone in the country appeared, I would think you'd be dumber if you thought it WASNT satan, and in that case the cross -would have- worked I would like to end my essay here showing things that the church did in that same time period that was good, that helped humanity Specific recorded events from the 1400s illustrate constructive local actions by clergy: The 1438–1439 Grain Distribution at St. Albans: During severe localized crop failure and inflation in southern England, the chronicling monks of the St Albans Abbey opened their inner storerooms to dispense daily rations of mixed grain and pottage directly to over 300 named local landless families, logging individual disbursements in the abbey's almoner roll. The 1471 Florence Foundling Endowment (Spedale degli Innocenti): While high-level church politics played out in Rome, local Florentine chapter priests and administrative brothers formally finalized the intake protocols for the Ospedale degli Innocenti, a dedicated architectural and institutional haven that accepted, baptized, and housed abandoned infants, providing them with registered wet-nurses and vocational training. (Basically IRL Mandalorian convents without then warrior culture) The 1456 Relief Work during the Siege of Belgrade: Franciscan friar John of Capistrano organized emergency field hospitals and food distribution networks behind the defense lines, utilizing monastic funds to feed fleeing refugees and tend to wounded combatants and civilians alike during the military conflict. The 1413–1415 Parish Poor-Box Implementation in York: Parish clergy at York Minster and surrounding local churches established the cooperative "common chest" system, where local testaments and court records show priests legally enforcing the allocation of a fixed percentage of tithes specifically for dowries for poor local orphan girls and housing for aged, infirm laborers. (This is important because usually the church is shown just burning women, but they cared by an large for the most rejected women of society)
thank you for writing the essay I was too lazy to even really consider last night. so many good points.
The reactions were the show isnt synched make me tweak out
Trevor team up with Dracula, the guy killing people (including children) by the thousands? Very plausible
Why do you still think Trevor is a werewolf Ron, lol? 😂 He literally confirmed in this episode that he’s a monster hunter. When he fought the cyclops, he mentioned seeing that monster in his family’s bestiary—something monster hunters have 😂 And still being on Team Dracula at this point is actually wild 😂 He’s killing innocent people now. You literally saw in the last episode how his monsters killed a newborn and dragged it away. His need for revenge was justified at the start, but now it’s just baseless. Everyone who killed his wife (except for the priest) is already dead. He’s basically acting exactly like the Church–the very people he hates. The Church believed Lisa was a witch out of ignorance and prejudice, so they burned her. Now Dracula believes –also due to prejudice– that all humans are evil and deserve to die.
when i think of an art style thats similar to japanese cartoons i usually say anime, no way can i sit here and say otherwise with it looking like it does, but like the other comment said, its just animation regardless but this is definitely anime inspired like most of the shows netflix funds they wanna capture that japanese animation for hiw realistic and nice it looks.
he has ordinary vocals lol
God damnit if you call this show anime ONE more time
The beginning of Ron singing had me fall on the ground laughing…truly lifted my spirits! 😂
Cmon yall let’s just binge this
Danggg this is so good we want more might as wellllll drop 2 episodes a 👀👀👀👀
Sypha one of the most goated characters i cant wait for you to see more of her
You watched draculas army gut and eat a baby and you’re still team Dracula? lol
yea, just like Roshi
also the speakers are like nomadic historians that sometimes peddle in medicine and magic. so to a poorly educated and superstitious very religious eastern European population they are typically frowned upon or hated. this relates back to your pogrom question i commented on in last video. so they are definitely not catholic or Eastern orthodox which is what the church is, and mostly what the Belmont family is. Wallachia btw is a real place. all of this takes place in real world places. modern day Romania to be precise. nearby Transylvania the home of Dracula is also in Romania.
These episodes go by too fast, might as well do 2 episodes?👀
I second this
that felt so shortttt
In Japan, anime (アニメ) is simply an abbreviation of the English word animation (アニメーション) and refers to all animated works regardless of style or country of origin. yes this is a trap I walked into it.. no I don't want to argue it lol
Ron singing John legend was not on my bingo cards lmao. Sing brother sing!! 😂😂😂
2:22 such powerful vocals you should be on The masked Singer 😭
lol love that yall were distracted by the random bodies and didn't even notice the light bulbs 🤣
Michelle is correct. Castlevania was made by an American animation studio so it’s not considered an anime. The same way that Arcane isn’t an anime.
9/10 times Michelle is correct over Ron
the sync between your videos is slightly off literally half a second lol Ron reacts right before the thing happens
Indeed
Ron brother you are tone DEAF
Ron lies like Azula
