He also kind of co-directed/supervised ep65, which was directed by the goated Chengxi Huang, Yamashita also directed obito vs kakashi, nandomo nandomo ep, he was also the animation director for madara vs the alliance and like hes basically worked on so many goated naruto eps/fights. Im soo glad pierrots best animators contributed to Boruto

The thing about konohamaru is he literally grew up comfortably.. never really yearned for anything from what we saw and although he lived thru the war .. most of his time has been thru peace … so him not being “as strong” as we think he should be kinda just goes with the story … they were at peace for years … im sure he reached a comfortable level to where he’s still considered elite in the village… not to mention he doesn’t only use rasengan .. he used Asumas fire style amoung other jutsu… the rasengan is literally just a high level A class jutsu that packs the opponent with one hit usually 🤷🏾‍♂️ why not use it …if anything I bet he’s atleast as strong as asuma was

I agree about Konohamaru. I've had that feeling about him back in Shippuuden, he was kind of more annoying Naruto's clone, despite being of a strong bloodline and getting to learn Rasengan by Naruto, he never showed any promise, he didn't achieve anything, he didn't bring anything to the show aswell, he's a plain shinobi NPC, not even an interesting personality. He had 20ish years and all he still does is Rasengan...

This was a great way to introduce such a dope character. The animation change and fight was so elite, loved how the shading and details look on each character. Fun fact Hiroyuki Yamashita was the director for this fight. He also did Madara vs Shinobi Alliance, Kakashi vs Obito, Naruto vs Sasuke final fight etc. At one point during the start of this fight, they paid homage to Kakashi vs Obito with the same choreography for a second. Kawaki's VA is also Megumi from JJK 🔥

So, I genuinely felt bad for Ao on first watch despite what he did because his story wasn't so black & white. Like, I get it. Kara let him be a shinobi again despite being disabled. He didn't really know another way to live. This was the only episode that adapted the manga’s style. Shows you how good ikemoto’s drawing style is. Its a shame that they didnt use this again because of budget issues.

Kawaki vs Garo is one of the best fights in the franchise, period

For some parallel people might not caught on, Kawaki's first debut actually happened in a short trailer in 2021's Jump Festa event, in this short trailer, he showed up on top of the mountain and staring down at Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki, just like Sasuke's first reunion with Naruto, Sakura and Sai in Shippuden. However, in the anime, he is the one lying on the lower ground while Boruto's team 7 on top of mountain checking on him. There are a lot of more reverse scenario between him and Boruto (and new team 7) that indicated his position in story.
