What a great opening episode for Season 2
I guess that answers my question as to whether they'd met Bartolomeo in the anime at this point, lol. Soon I'm sure.

Ok so yeah about the Bartolomeo thing that was crazy ngl I got hype when I seen him but ik yall was mad confused lmao. You first see him in Dressrosa though so just keep watching and it'll make sense. The guy who is Smoker is so cool, looks just like Smoker. They did a great job casting him. When Dragon showed up I got chills. And yeah you guys absolutely should talk about everything up to where you're at. People watching should at least be caught up to you guys at least. If they are spoiled and aren't that far in OP its their fault

Where you are up to in the anime makes some of the stuff they've brought forward really interesting lol. Thankfully the stuff they brought forward is VERY vague, so it won't ruin anything. You might just hear a thing or two and be like ??? huh? This makes your reactions unique tho so I think it's good
It pains my little heart to say this, but I'll have to not watch this with you guys! Not because I don't want to but I haven't watched the anime and ya'll keep spoiling lol. I know it's just the excitement and commentary but it's still spoiling (alluding to future arcs and characters and mentioning Luffy's dad, Buggy becomes a Warlord (that's crazy lol) etc) for me so I can't watch it with ya'll T.T

So I won't say dont watch this show if your not up to date in the anime but I will say since you already remember these beginnings all I ask is the stuff you dont understand DO NOt look up at your own risk. That is all. Enjoy the season.
You won’t understand it yet but They’re 1000000% going to do the Skypiea arc. As the story goes on, Skypiea becomes more and more important to the overall lore of One Piece. It introduces things like the Poneglyphs, hints about the Void Century, Anciet kingdom, early use of Observation Haki, and most importantly a lot of themes that connect directly to the biggest mysteries of the world that you guys probably haven’t realized yet. When you get closer to the recent arcs, you start to see how much Oda was foreshadowing back then. It’s impossible to skip Skypiea
Id expect them to end off around summit war, hopefully
they need to make usopp goofier :^( a lot of his charm in the early seasons is how goofy he is with Luffy

About you guys being scared to spoil other people. You can always put a disclaimer that you will talk about your knowledge of the anime of One Piece. After all you never know where new viewers might start their journey with you. But I do agree that being able to talk about what you know of the anime makes for good discussion and I think you shouldn't stop yourselves. So this is just suggestion. Great reaction as always, can't wait to see what's next :)

Alvida's actress went on a whole weight loss journey just to be slim enough to play the part of slim Alvida. She did a ton of work guys. All the characters worked hard to fit their roles and this season is just off the charts for how good it is
Upgraded again for this. Think ill stay here this time. I wont be watching these independently so ill watch all of them with the SQUAD here. This is gonna be so good!

Hi Ron & Michelle. Bearing in mind that at this stage of his life, Roger has: 1. Conquered the Grand Line with his crew. 2. Accomplished his dream of finding the One Piece. 3. Become the King of the Pirates. 4. Suffering from a terminal disease and reaching the end of his mortality. Accepted his days are numbered. 5. Asking a huge favour from his arch-nemesis... I think his portrayal here by the actor is spot on and understandable. It wouldn't be realistic if his energy level and enthusiasm is sky high really.

I am caught up on the anime, I dont read the manga, there are a lot of easter eggs for future arcs, you will see the green haired character again but to avoid spoilers I would suggest you dont look him up
Mods stop Ron! Tell Ron not to Google about Bartolomeo! Ron, Bartolomeo is someone you haven't seen in the anime but will see later. Don't mind about him right now. Bartholomew Kuma is the Warlord you have known about. So Bartholomew Kuma and Bartolomeo are two different people. Ya, that was kinda a minor spoiler but you guys did predict that about him. Also Skypiea Arc will definitely be in the Live Action, 100%. Just saying. I'm so excited to watch your reactions for the other episodes of the S2 Live Action!
I get that yal feel Robin energy and stuff is cool but i honestly don't think she's looks like Robin at all , Robin has more of a darker complexion maybe she was the best actor they could find to play the role but I honestly think they could of found a more look alike actor than her personally but I get the Live action is just fun for fans and a intro to one piece for new fans not a serious attempt at the source material ps Dnt get me started on Gol D Roger lol
Actually, I disagree. Robin's darker complexion when we were first introduced to her was likely due to the intense sunlight in Alabasta, the desert kingdom. After she left Alabasta, her skin tone gradually returned to its natural color we see now.
Just finished the reaction loved it but I wonder what made both of them think they would skip over Manga Canon arcs. With the way they were talking seemed like they were gonna animate 200+ anime eps in 8 OPLA eps lol
17:20 nah I agree, true to size roger would be taller and buff but t his is the best they can do with the live action I guess. its hard to find a person that can pull off that size while also being able to act

They added a lot of easter eggs for future episodes you haven't seen yet. So if there things you were confused about, it's easter eggs. Also, they have to add Skypeia, and it's one of Oda's favorites. It adds lore to haki, world lore, and also adds to Water 7/Enies Lobby and the Going Merry

It’s good to go into the Live as it’s own animal. Comparing if it’s accurate to the anime will drive a person crazy. In fact, allot of stuff in the anime is also not detail enough to the manga It feels better if we take the Live action as itself. Binge watch the 2nd season and love every minute of it.
