Im totally on board with u on the animation as comparison though,your take is G. The next couple of episodes are about to be heat 🔥 when reading it, at first the opponent and battle seemed lame but I was presently surprised. Easily Megumi’s best fight.
Judgeman crying tears of blood after the sentencing of The innocent. Both judgeman and higuruma know Yuji’s innocent, But he confessed to being Guilty. Taking responsibility for something that he was never in control of. The episode alone has so many interpretations that people could make. Easily the best episode imo

It's really not all that crazy to figure asking for a retrial would work. Just basic knowledge of the court system could get you to that conclusion.
No worries Michelle don't listen to Ron, you're right it's really not that crazy of a prediction, the concept of retrial is quite common knowledge. There even was an occurence at the end of last episode during Higuruma's backstory with his client, as he asked for a retrial when he awakened his cursed technique after his client was found guilty.

So far this season has still all been set up and just started to actually get into the good stuff with this episode.

Higuruma's power is like Knuckle's power from HxH. The opponent has to participate with him in order to fight. So cool. Even Kogane reminds me of Hakoware (HxH) Lmao Higuruma with the Naoya hair flip. Iconic 12:31 14:42 yeah the dialogue kinda took away from the fight for me and I was kinda missing some of the fight lol. That's one of the many reasons I prefer dub. You can take in all the animation and greatness. Rewatching this fight when the dub updates
I also see some parallels between Higuruma and Geto too. Both of them believed society was broken, with reforming seemingly impossible and they attempt to take matters into their own hands. But as we all know it eventually lead to both of their corruption internally and externally. Another great reaction from yall, I’m glad you guys are enjoying Higuruma’s character!

I love how Yuji and Higuruma are kinda like thematic opposites. Higuruma’s ideology is built on “the system failed, so I’m justified in my violence”, while Yuji’s ideology is essentially “If people died because of me, I’ll carry that weight even if it isn’t my fault.” Yuji doesn’t weaponize his suffering, doesn’t blame the system and doesn’t look for excuses. That’s what destroys Higuruma internally because those were the values he THOUGHT he stood for, but he knew himself he crossed a line.
Michelle I’m pausing at 21:15 please do not be so anxious about watching a show you should be relaxed and enjoying it. That honestly makes me a little sad to hear you feel anxious to predict things. You're right though they tend to predict a lot. I say they because Ron as well predicts a lot too. They also overthink. I don't think it would lead to stress per se, I at least hope it wouldn't. Not discounting anxiety because I have it too. Not when it comes to a show because similar to you I naturally predict too. I just think as reactors they feel this pressure to overperform and think a lot and predict. That's why I mentioned the overthink thing. When they aren't recording a reaction and watching off camera, they're more so relaxed and watching normally. I say that since I remember Michelle pointing that out once. I did see something that explained deadly sentencing a little better when determined guilty confiscation they will strip the user of their technique because Itadori has no technique. It stripped his cursed energy, which makes me wonder how this would work against a normal person or someone like Maki/Toji I wonder if it would take away their heavenly pact but that seems to almost contradict how heavenly pacts work right? Idk I would love someone to explain without spoiling.
Don't think it even works on them, as they have no cursed energy and can move in and out of domains because of it as they are not recognized and Hugurumas domain should follow same jujutsu rules (being a barrier etc), maybe someone knows more can expand on it

Michelle just made an educated guess about the retrial lol. It was definitely a smart prediction but all the necessary information leading to that prediction was already revealed thus far. His whole back story was centered around a retrial and the narration did talk about the process of retrials extensively. Also, first thing Higuruma says when awakening is “we’re having a retrial.” And the fact the domain simulates a court proceeding, it just made sense. Not saying I guessed it myself but it isn’t that crazy of a guess
