This felt like a final destination Halloween episode.
Hurly definitely sounds cursed . I would avoid him 😂.
Crazy fan theory what if the entire world is connected by a cable in this universe . An the Government is doing this .
The French woman story sounds like a siren . Her saying the ship herd the signal an then crashed into to island.
Love watching along with yall. I watched up to this episode on my own b4 and then stopped watching, but now I have an excuse to finish it. P.S. I hope yall finally watch The Vampire diaries after this :)
Your discussions and theories are great. Y’all don’t even know what a phenomenon this show was back in the day: it was THE biggest thing in pop culture for years. Sooooo many articles breaking down theories, everyone was talking about all these mysteries and what they might mean.

sounds surprisingly similar to "Ahngkooeyey" on FROM😄
ehh.. okay of an episode 😭 lost has got me lost
the amount of episodes really lets you connect to the characters which I love
This show was MEANT for theories, love it
Such a fun episode. I love when Hugo does things like going over that bridge, everyone going "Hurley stop!!! no come back!!" and he's just like "dudes, chill." XD Sayid, Jack and Charlie's reactions are priceless. Those four make a great party.
NUMBERSSSSSSSS
Already having seen this show, your commentary and discussion are so gold... Monday can't come any sooner
Love me some Hurley 💙
I love how our perception of the island itself is a perfect metaphor for our understanding of the show. They definitely planned it this way. Every time they explore more of the island and figure out another piece of the puzzle, the curtain gets pulled back and you realize the puzzle itself is actually much larger than you thought it was. In the pilot episode, we spend most of our time on the beachfront. We have a very limited understanding of what's happening, but also a limited premise--a plane has crashed--so we're not really asking questions. In the next few episodes we start to venture out into the woods--hold on, why the heck is there a polar bear on a tropical island? The journey continues and we see these huge hills and big open ecosystems, revealing that the island is actually pretty large--hold on, why the heck is there a French transmission coming FROM the island itself? We see Locke venture further into the woods--and immediately find out he was a paraplegic in a wheelchair before he got on the plane. Suddenly what could have been a simple scientific or military compound becomes "are there supernatural elements in place?" Locke begins his mentorship of Boone, they venture further out into the island, and the two finda secret metal hatch buried in the ground. Boone has visions of Shannon dying, implying more supernatural elements. At this point we're beginning to get a bit TOO comfortable on this mysterious island, so the show does something crazy--it scares us back into our small corner, because suddenly there's other people on this island, and not only have they stolen a pregnant woman but they actively want to kill us. And then just as the show has you lulled back into a sense of comfort--building rafts, making cradles, playing golf, getting to know each other, definitely not thinking about the weird supernatural shit we saw earlier--we go further into the jungle than we've ever been before, see more than we've seen, find new areas and BOOM, there's crazy numbers that seem to connect like five different elements of the show across multiple decades, and we have no idea what they could possibly mean. And a radio tower?
The lady that announced the lottery numbers was the same girl that sawyer was with in the beginning of one of his flashbacks. She is also the wife of the actor who plays Michael
I love how perfectly the tone is set for Hurleys backstory, its kinda goofy but EXTREMELY tragic
The gentle way John Locke is drawn to people who think they are useless because he once felt the same is beautiful... he kinda adopts these people who need someone like Boone, Charlie, and in this ep Claire

If you noticed previously, when Hurley and Walt were playing Backgammon, Walt told him that he still owed him $20k, and Hurley said, "Don't worry, you'll get it," if anyone caught it, haha
Peak. Next 3 are generational
This episode really pushed the story forward. Great episode. Starting to sound like a broken record. Edit: I changed my mind. Maybe it didn’t.😂
I don’t know if you guys remember but in one of the previous episodes when Hurley and Walt first were playing that game with the black and white dice (Backgammon), Walt wins and Hurley storms off and Walt says “Hey you owe me $20,000” and Hurley responds with “Don’t worry, you’ll get it.” and then in one of the more recent episodes Walt mentions Hurley is up to owing him $83,000. It’s funny because that’s just a random passing comment that you might not make any connection to at first until this episode when you realize just how rich Hurley is. Also I thought it was a really sweet moment between Hurley and Danielle, he finally finding someone who actually agrees with him in thinking the numbers are cursed because everyone around him thought he was crazy. Also I don’t know if I’m the only one but Hurley is honestly one of the funniest characters on this show. Every time he’s just like “Dude” in some serious context I laugh. Also a sweet moment between Locke and Claire…he wasn’t even aware it was her birthday and that’s just a sweet gift making her a cradle for her. Definitely something the baby will need.
it now makes sense why hurley owes walt 83k
FOREPLAY IS OFFICIALLY OVER We about to skyrocket straight to the moon 🚀
Good ol' fun-time Hurley
Btw keep paying attention to the little details in this show. They put little hints and Easter eggs everywhere. Especially the back stories. Your correct Shoshanna that box company is where Locke works. Keep up yalls ending guesses!
@ V&S - Your post episode discussions on the Lost reactions have been amazing, as always. I love how in depth you guys both go and the conversations you have around various different characters, themes & theories... But I miss the post episode MVP's! You always used to assign an MVP on TWD reactions and I feel like Lost is another show that's perfect for! Maybe you're already too far ahead from pre-recording for it to happen, but if not, I'd love to see your MVP assignment return, alongside your already fantastic post episode discussions!
Maybe by the end of each season they can do their MVP of the season
GOAT
Banger after banger... You asked for a Hurley backstory and here it is - Can't wait to watch this reaction!
Let’s gooo🏝️
