I never thought someone would go that low to burn the Raft. I don't even think I can do this show anymore.

My cousin & his wife took their Honeymoon in Hawaii & sent me pics/vids from it. He is too young to have watched the show, but little did he know his pov vid was almost exactly where some of the scenes have taken place in the show

The long breaks are having you guys forget stuff and you’re not able to put the pieces together ☹️☹️

Yes really good episode. I am glad Sun spoke English to stop Michael from hitting Jin more. I don't known if that was a parallel to what he did to the guy so he wouldn't get killed on front of his daughter but it was. Walt doing that to the raft was crazy. I love how Locke put in the reality because even though Walt did it I would definitely be watching my back.

Next episode is crazy

T
Tabarnacification · September 8, 2026

To be fair, if I knew I would never have to school as a kid again if I burned that raft, I just maybe would have 😂

With the whole Sun and Jin dynamic, I’m not Korean so I know I can’t speak on the cultural differences when it comes to the marriage over there…but from what I have seen on rewatches is that whenever their in public together she’s supposed to act and dress a certain way which is why he’s so hostile and constantly trying to cover her up. As for his change in behavior that’s definitely because he was forced to work for her dad and I do agree with other people here, I think he holds some sort of animosity towards her for having to do the things that he does for her father. I believe he knows 100% its not her fault either, but he loves her so he’s going to do what he’s told, but you know he won’t tell her what her father has him doing thing is though Sun is not stupid. Especially after that night he comes home with the blood all over him. He also is the son of a fisherman so he’s like low low class, which it’s obvious Sun doesn’t care about that but he needs her father’s approval. Also I definitely feel like Jin is just feeling extremely betrayed by Sun right now, me personally you can tell by his face he still loves her. They’re two of my favorite characters on the show actually. Also I NEVER PEEPED HURLY ON THE TV IN THE BACKGROUND BEFORE IN ALL MY REWATCHES. Wild you were able to catch that 😂😂 Walt burning the raft was certainly…a decision. I don’t necessarily agree with what he did but I can also see his point of view as a kid not wanting to keep moving all the time. Little odd though he’d wanna stay on the island with all the crazy BS happening though. But thingssss are heating up!! 😁

Well I didn't remember this . But Free willy . An Walt both are a danger to the boat smh

T
Tjbosslyfe · September 8, 2026

Micheal and Jin wife had some kind of Silent chemistry. But Jin and Micheal are working together now so that's over . If they island divorce. Iw wouldn't mind it.

T
Tjbosslyfe · September 8, 2026

Ladies if your guy is trying to pull you somewhere. An you fall . Do you want somebody to help ? Her Slapping Micheal caught me of Guard .

I’m so excited watching your reactions to this show because it’s already so good and, from having watching it by myself before, it’s only going to get crazier and better and I can’t waaaaait for the reactions on what’s yet to come! 👀🔥

Holy shit I’ve never noticed Hurley on the tv. That’s great foreshadowing.

j
jblakk · September 8, 2026

Dang Vince was spittin about Jins dad parallel with not wanting Sun to feel that way. I never caught that before. Good shit! Also I think the marriage timeline is 6 months. The dogs size and the honeymoon conversation makes me think its been 6 months.

that raft was small measure but ain’t no way walt did that 🤣 i’m probably the only one but hurley gotta be the least interesting character, the show should of at least made him more comedic i feel like & i definitely don’t wanna see micheal involved with sun 😭🙅‍♂️

A
Aeden Cundiff · September 8, 2026

You guys also have to remember that the island gave him his legs back or at least the crash did. So of course lock is going to LOVE this place!😂

the example of jin's change in this episode isn't meant to encompass the entirety of their drift apart. sun didn't learn to speak english in a couple months... not that well for sure. in a previous episode it showed that jin had to agree to work for her father to secure her hand in marriage, or that's at least the way he perceived it. but his hiding her father's true nature was spot on in my opinion. jin also suffered a great deal of humiliation when sun spoke english. he couldn't even hide the surprise on his face, not to mention so many things on and off screen would have made life a hell of a lot easier for them if she would have let it be known from the start. but sun's fear is definitely warranted as well. she had/has no clue the things jin is hiding and he has a horrible way of expressing himself so far. idk if the 2 of you have ever seen a couple really work through some serious shit but this is what it looks like, especially without a therapist. maybe it's the end of the relationship, maybe not... but that's exactly what it looks like irl. the writing just keeps getting better! buckle up!

it's all filmed in hawaii i believe, all of the island scenes anyhow. it's one of the reasons you don't see any of those things you don't like to see. there are no native species there. just one tiny species that was introduced by man accidentally a long time ago.

P
Peter Shim · September 8, 2026

You know the funniest thing about Jin’s character too is that they made this man speak Korean the whole show and his Korean is BAD!!!! That man was strugglinggg lolol

i love seeing sho get goosebumps it just means she really likes this show 🙂‍↕️

T
Tripp · September 8, 2026

Yea. Walt is tripping. I don’t think he’s going to keep that opinion. That island does not seem like great home. Adoption is hilarious.lol

D
Dexifae · September 8, 2026

To me Jim lied about his father just because of the disparity of wealth He was ashamed of his past, it's a common thing really, specially in SK I agree with Vince on Walt lol, yeah it's a shitty thing he did but that's a learning moment, not a "to adoption you go" 🤣

K
Kevin Lauture · September 8, 2026

Culture plays a huge part in how Jin communicates and acts with Sun. I think his pride was tremendously broken when he learns that Sun can speak English especially in front of everyone

Shoshanna: kid is getting sold to adoption. I died 😃

M
Mark · September 8, 2026

I think Jin deep down resents Sun for having to do things for her father. I think that's where some of his animosity comes from. I also think what Vince said about him is spot on. I love listening to yall talk with each other at the end of every watch. Yall have such healthy and open communication and honesty its beautiful.

D
Dexifae · September 8, 2026

This episode shows in many ways why this show is my favorite of all time Packed just in this one episode we have: Character development, romance, more mystery (Hurley), all the sides of the human condition the good and the bad, capable of grace (Jim's dad) This is such a well written episode 💖

L
L S · September 8, 2026

jin apologizing to his dad for lying about his death because of his societal status and seeing how ashamed he feels... that hits hard

T
Tripp · September 8, 2026

Dang. I tried to wait but I’m 3 episodes ahead of Yall now. On the post schedule. Now I anticipate these episodes more. Such a great show. This man sayid is letting me down. lol. Looking for love. Not him. He’s too valuable in my opinion to be distracted.
