A little tease of what's to come soon...
Hi, things seems to be good related to bugs, there's still some but they are more like edge cases and are less frequent so I've been able to start working on new stuff.
Ive' already shared the rom manager we are making and today I want to talk what's coming soon.
EmuDeck Android
After several tests and my head hitting the wall multiple times, EmuDeck Android has pivoted a little: it won't be a dedicated app, at least at launch.
This is because of the limitations Android have in place because of it's security measures since Android 11, so in order to automate everything as much as I can you'll setup your Android device using the current EmuDeck app. Expect a first beta in maybe the next couple of weeks.
EmuDeck SteamOS 2.3
This was supposed to be the holiday update part 2 but things got complicated, this is what this new release will add:
- New onboarding to make it copying games and roms easier for novice users
- New emus: Flycast, Model 2, Model 3.
- New UI
- Pegasus Frontend
- Resolution Selector
- Improved Linux, chimeraOS and bazzite support
- AutoSudo to auto install Decky and EmuDecky
- New unified Steam Input profiles
Expect a EA release in the next couple weeks and a public release in about a month from now.
Windows EmuDeck 2.3
We will add the the fixes already present on the EA builds, but nothing else enew since we are focused in SteamOS right now. 2.4 will add the new Sega emulators since all the new SteamOS Sfeatures are already present in Windows 2.2
MacOS EmuDeck 2.4
This was almost finished but work was posponed to work on SteamOS, I hope to launch the first beta with 2.4 in the future.

I’m having difficulties with this screen I am on the rog ally it will not pull up my drives to select from. I uninstalled the application multiple times and keep having this problem.
Excited to see if the cloud sync feature from Windows and SteamOS can come across as that would make my Anbernic so accessible for continuing games with. The current sync options are temperamental and stuck on local WiFi at best.
Excited for this as I’m holding off fully setting up my RP4Pro until this is out 😀
Looking forward to an Android build, I have a s23 Ultra phone and I can play Switch games on it (Yuzu), it would be epic to sync saves between, my deck, Windows and my phone. Bring it !!!!
syncing is going to be hard / cumbersome... :(
Same here. Glad to see I am not the only one with trouble with Yuzu. RyuJinx isn't consistantly starting either.
It’s not only yuzu it’s my 3ds ps3 ps2 can’t confirm but it happened after the amoury crate update for me
Got same issue tried everything even a full system reset on my ally sadly no luck best to just wait for update
Came back to my rog ally yesterday for emulation after a little break and everytime I try to open Yuzu it flashes black, then a blank white yuzu screen and closes with no error message. I've updated emudeck, yuzu and reset the config of yuzu but it's still not opening successfully Anyone had a similar issue?
i may have found a fix. go to installed apps and programs and uninstall a microsoft app store app called “ openCl openGL and vulkan compatibility pack“That’s the fix

Just upgraded to Red Magic 9 from the 8. Still have the 8 and was trying to think of a use for it. Here we go.
