Ok, so Ryujinx is gone, now what?
Hi, sad news for emulation today, for those of you that haven't heard yet, yesterday Ryujinx decided to make a deal with Nintendo and close the emulator. We are waiting on more details to know if we can use other forks without getting in trouble. Worst case scenario, we would do a Bring your own Ryujinx thing like we do with Yuzu, as long as you provide the emulator we'll take care of everything else.
I'll be reporting more news as soon as I have them

Anyone else having issues logging into Patreon and receiving token on SteamOS and windows? The area to paste token shows up but unable to login to Patreon to get said token? Says unable to reach the token webpage.
Yes I had problem too, wrote to the guys and they told me should be everything good now.

Will it be removed when our emudeck updates? As in I used the initial install of emudeck that installed Ryujinx. Just curious if an emudeck update will remove it.
I still have my working install. Can EmuDeck be made to use a working install for people that have one? That would be legal wouldn't it?
There is an alternative called suyu but it requires you to have few additional files.
Not sure on how well that one is going, last update was like 6 months ago and mostly bug fixes. Still looking for devs..... Not much has changed from when Yuzu was killed off by the big N bully....

Use Suzu or BYO, or both. But from what I've seen and heard Suzu works great. Just be careful not to get in Nintendo's crosshairs. Do what you think is safest for you and EmuDeck.
Suzu is just Yuzu with some bug fixes, no major enhancements or new games running... last update was like 6 months ago.

I'm curious why Nintendo went to war at the end of the switch's life? I even suspect that the existing switch emulator can simulate switch2 with a little modification😂.
My only guess is the emulators have better performance than the Switch 2 is going to be, and they need to sell a bunch at launch.

Man... First Yuzu,then having Citra caught in the crossfire,now we don't even have Ryujinx? I just hope we'll be able to find a workaround like we always do.
There isn’t a DMCA it seems, so hopefully given time some development will start up again.
Probably not, since the main Developer gdkchan got an agreement from Nintendo, that he ends the development of ryujinx and removes the organization as well as all assets he has access to. And since the organization is gone, he probably accepted it...
Bring your own emulator is good but there should be documentation where to put said emulators so emudeck can see said emulator.
for Yuzu it's already documented in manage emulators, it will be the same for Ryujinx
Honestly… I would hate for Nintendo to have any grounds to go after you. I think for now, just don’t support switch emulation in anyway… things are way to heated right now… and honestly don’t think anyone is going to have a tantrum… and if they do get grumpy… tell them to take out their frustration on Nintendo My 2 cents
