Wristlock Teller

Greetings adventurers!

I have to say that some of the most crooked types I’ve ever met are those that work in banking. There’s something about that field that draws in those that would be corrupted by the very thing they’re meant to handle. This is why I do all of my investing in direct to market magical goods. Nothing to corrupt there, well except for the occasional cursed item. Then there’s the deals you have to make and the questionable sourcing, diving into deeply cursed places, so on so forth. Okay look, I’m not saying I’m a saint but at least I’m not a banker. Anyways, could I interest you in this wristlock teller? We’re having a special!

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, Foundry VTT modules, a filterable catalogue of all of our items, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

If that strikes your fancy, consider becoming a Patron

Design notes from Matthew:

One thing that always struck me about fantasy worlds is that often times folks don’t consider the magic that could be worked into mundanity. You’re telling me there are multiple magical enchantments, items, and so on for lighting a fire but no one has ever thought to bring magic to banking? That just doesn’t make sense to me and it’s those types of categories that I want to explore most. Providing the items that fill out a world and really make it feel like magic can be embedded in anything, even boring old banking.

Both versions of this item for 5E and PF2E are actually remarkably similar which isn’t something we always get to do. Typically I like to design each items as the best version of it for the system that it’s a part of, but on something like this that steps a little outside of the usual systems present for combat, social interaction, and exploration, I wanted to just build out the idea fully as what I had in my mind while also making it work in both systems.

The appraisal mechanic in particular allows for a lot of wiggle room at the GM’s discretion. I think that’s important to allow when you’re making something that is a bit outside of standard game systems. You have to make items that can make sense in any world and that was the goal all along for us. We want to make things for your games, no matter how you play.

This one is pretty exciting for us as it’s part of a collab with two wonderful friends in the space that will be released in the coming days so look out for the post on those!

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
