The fey are a mischievous bunch, but it’s something that I truly admire about them in most circumstances. That said, you wouldn’t catch me trying any of their so-called foods. There’s something a little offputting about them and I can’t put my finger on it. That said, I have come to learn that there’s a whole market out there for some of the odder confectionaries that they create as they seem to have interesting effects on the people who consume them. I’m sure for some these are played for cheap pranks, but I’m not above a harmless joke amongst friends. I picked up some of my own from a connection on another plane and now they’re here for you.

Design notes from Matthew:
It’s been an absolute blast exploring some more consumables of late. I’ve been wanting to design more of them over time, but had a sudden burst of inspiration for several of them now. It’s been great to finally get those to you all and I think it’s been a fun way to come into the holidays with something a little different. This is one of those items that ended up being written quite similarly across systems, which is quite rare.
Really all that was needed for this one was a way to consume it, how long it would last, and what the random effects would be. Considering that it’s a relatively simple item in that way, it actually came together quite quickly once I got to writing it. The effects all being named with some form of P words was actually a bit of a last minute addition just because I thought that it would add a little more whimsy to the item.
Ultimately this is a really low tier item and everything on it is just a fun little effect. I thought it would be interesting to explore items that are just for a bit of fun because not everything needs to be so serious in our campaigns all of the time. Every once in a while you just want a silly little lollipop that has something fun attached!
