Punch Drunk
Greetings adventurers!
There are some out there who are never satisfied with any drink they find. It’s too sweet, too sour, too bitter, not strong enough, you know the types. I think what they’re after is less of a drink and more of an experience. I’ve been spending my time experimenting with various methods of enchanting the contents of cocktails and ales and lately I’ve found something most potent. Something that will really jump up and sock you in the face. No as in, that’s actually what it does. Would you want to try a sample? First one is free.
Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
For the last item of November we’re releasing something in Tom Cartos Inns & Taverns theme to bring about a disastrous time in your campaigns. You know those overconfident adventurers that walk into a place and order the strongest thing the barkeep has? Well I think this would be the perfect thing to make sure each barkeep has at least one of in stock. It’s certainly going to be a surprise when someone opens it and that was exactly my intent in writing it. Hopefully you all can find some joy in that.
Alcohol is surprisingly not really addressed at all in D&D. I mean, so many adventures begin in a tavern and yet for some ungodly reason no one really talks about what people are drinking in there. The closest we have to the condition I was seeking to replicate would be poison, so I had to lean on that. I wanted to offer a consequence even for a success on the roll so I went with a mix of bad and good to make sure the item isn’t a save or suck situation. Avoiding that at all costs is beneficial to design in my opinion.
For the PF2E version, well we have alcohol in Golarion so that’s cool. It was rather easy to write a consumable that suddenly inflicts a stage of alcohol poisoning on you and then step it back to go along with the degrees of success on the item. Plug in the DCs, give it some lore and bingo, you’re there. Not overdesigning or redesigning a whole mechanic is something that will help you a lot when creating for PF2E.
This item is pairing with our usual creature for the end of this month. It will be dropping later on today and I promise the Alemental is going to be a menace in your games should you wish to bring it in. As this is releasing on Thanksgiving here in the states, I wanted to take this time to wish those who are celebrating a joyous holiday. For the rest of you, I hope your Thursday is awesome as well!
We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
